First off I liked everything today but have a general rant about the character of Katie. I am about ready to send TPTB a letter in support for Terri Colombino of the way Katie is being written. They need to stop writing her like she is stupid. I cannot believe she told Mike that sleeping with Simon was an accident. Why couldnt TPTB just have had Katie be honest and made the scene a little heartfelt where she told Mike she loved him so much, would hate to break his heart, etc instead they make her out to be an airhead? Dont't get me wrong I want her with Simon but I would have liked her to be honest with Mike so she could figure out what to do next.

They are just giving her the dumb lines and Terri is a great actress who does not deserve the crap they are giving her. She showed just how awesome she is when she and Paul Leydon had that scene in the cottage. The way they are writing her starting to piss me off.

I know that alot of people think Maddie has been destoryed but IMO I have to disagree I think that title to goes Katie. Complete 180 IMO.

I loved today's show alot. The best in quite awhile.

I for one didn't see Katie as being written stupidly today. For the first time in a long time I actually liked her. And it is not even because I feel that Simon and Katie are done for. I don't like them together at all. Not really crazy about her and Mike together either, but I am glad to see her try to fight for her marriage.

I reallly am loving having Craig back. It is nice to have him around to stir the pot. He is making things more interesting and esp. Paul and Meg who I cannot stand together. At least there some nice tension in their pairing now.

Excellent stuff for Mike and Katie. I'm glad the ONS came out quickly instead of dragging it out for four months. We need more storylines that have movement!

Tomorrow should be good with Carly finding out about it.

-Jack and Paul's scenes were weird. We rarely see these two together in a non-police related matter. Good conversation between the two of them. Paul's an ass though, no need to bring up the fact that Jack is living at Emma's.

-I love Emily's involvement with Craig. However, I want her to be more involved in the planning of the mischief instead of simply being Craig's minion. Whatever is needed to bring down Dusty is a-OK with me.

-I'm not a big fan of his but Roger Howarth was good today! First time in FOREVER that he hasn't phoned it in.

I was underwhelmed by the Mike/Katie drama...but I'm hoping it gets juicier tomorrow when Carly opens a can of whoop ass on the cheaters.

IMO Katie is being written exactly the way she should. She has always been shallow.

When Katie came back to JakeDale her first order of business was to find a husband by any means necessary. She went after Holder for goodness sake. When Simon came to town chasing Rose and that diamond, Katie picked up his scent and didn't stop hounding him until she got him. She knew exactly who and what he was but she didn't care. And let's not forget her treatment of Henry. Katie has always been( again IMO ) all about Katie, and now she's getting the big pay back. How dumb was it for her to write about the ONS on her laptop and then leave it where MightyMouseMike could find it.

Speaking of MightyMouseMike, he is also getting just what he deserves. That he had the nerve to bring up Jen's name and the fact that she is in a part of his heart and that he grieves for her there was too much for me. I had to leave the room or else I would have destroyed my TV trying to get to him so that I could open my can of whupp-ass on him. Of all the nerve. I've never been a Matie fan and after what they did to Jen and then Henry I really despised them.

I want Katie to be alone ( meaning without a man ) for a while, maybe she'll learn something although I doubt it.

Your post just answered why I felt so blah about the Katie scenes today. Mark Collier(Mike) did a great job today. But I hated all of Terri's(Katie's) performance. And now I know why. The writing was awful for her scenes with Mike. I also hated how she wasn't honest with Mike. She was just blowing hot air out of her mouth. Her explanation was so unbelievable. Maybe Terri felt the same way. I thought she should have told Mike she was still in love with Simon that's why she cheated on him. I think Mike would have understood more if she had. Her part of the scenes just fell flat for me. They were very weak. Katie did too much crying. She wasn't honest with Mike at all. The writers really blew it!

Aside from that I liked the show. Tomorrow should be interesting. Let's hope Katie admits to Mike why she REALLY slept with Simon.

Hmm..I'm going to have to watch the show first to see what I think but I gotta ask one thing: WTH has Terri Colombino stayed with the show for so long and accepted the crap writing they've been doing with her character??? Because she's been given crap for so many years, I forgot how great of an actress she can be. It's unfortunate.

As for Katie always being about Katie...there was a time when her vulnerability and loneliness shown througnh to make us understand why she was trying so hard to be noticed. Now, she's supposed to be this epitomy of perfection...as if she deserves to problem-free and happy. And it comes off as hypocritical.

I found today so boring that I had to stop watching it, I just don't know what is going on with my great ATWT, it has just been so boring lately.

Also I know that Van was on vacation for a while, but I am still going to ask where the HELL is Luke Snyder at? I am having major Luke withdraws right now.

Katie!!! OMG....what a hypocritical little skank. Just once I wish CBS/P&G would let us have a true smackdown between characters. Carly got off to a good start calling out Katie and Simon, but I wanted bloodshed. Regardless of Maura's pregnancy. LOL.

Katie and Carly SUCK as friends. I'd MUCH rather have them as enemies or show animosity towards each other.

Carly described my feeling on the whole Katie/Simon sex escapade. Katie is the new slut of Oakdale and Simon is just disgusting! I loved how Carly was grovling(sp?) back to Jack. She is so stupid.

I found the show good except for Henry and Emily. They were boring.
