Sheila got hit by a car!

Paul tells Michael and Lauren she is dead and that DNA evidence proved it. But before Sheila died in a car accident she had plastic surgery to make her look like Phyllis.

I know because it's Sheila she is "never really dead...." But the ONLY time I liked Sheila was during WILLIAM J. BELL. He knew how to write the character and interesting villains with real and complex motives. So, goodbye Sheila for now, and hopefully forever. Note to TPTB if you want a villain MAKE UP YOUR OWN.

If Sheila is not dead (yawn) I'm betting that Jana had something todo with all this...seeing as how she worked in a morgue and all...

So she does come back as Phyllis. You would think people would know it wasn't the same person... Jana? I don't remember who that is. Can you refresh my memory? Thank goodness this will be over soon, never like the Sheila storylines.

It may be a good setup for a dual role for Michelle Stafford. She is an actress that could probably handle it.

I wish they would write Sheila as dead rather than trashing her again. I think however it might be Real Phyllis who is dead and not Sheila. This is all so confusing, and doesn't sound all to interesting at this point; hopefully it will play out better on the show......

Sure Sheila's cartoon jungle stint in 2003 was far from greatness but at least on B&B Sheila always a complex character with believable motivation, feelings and heart. We can't say that about Y&R anymore...

That is the message we must spread and hopefully it reaches the people at the Bell soaps. Under Brad Bells' pen, Sheila had the characteristics you described (aside from the jungle madness) and did everything she thought would allow her to have a pleasant life in L.A. and hoped to find love. Bringing her back to B&B and Mr. Bell is the only way this character can go back to the joy she was.

Even if she returns to B&B (where Brad Bell said she'd have had plastic surgery to be Brooke), she'll just be used as a sweeps stunt. I'm hoping they can just hurry and give the character some closure.

Some of you posters make me sick. You have no respect for an actress who put her heart and soul into a character only for it to be WRITTEN APPAULINGLY and BUTCHERED once she returned to Y&R> you ought to be ashamed.

I wish Lynn Marie Latham could have left this character the hell alone. Everyone keeps saying that this is all Jack Smith....yeah, he did write the botched return of the Sheila character and Sheila did tell a plastic surgeon to make her look like someone else. But has anyone ever heard of "change of heart"? Geezus.

Michelle Stafford is a terrific actress, but I am not looking forward to her playing Sheila. At all. And they still haven't explained why Sheila claimed to have had Massimo's kid(from her brief stint on B&.

Plastic surgery face-offs makes Y&R not seem like...well, Y&R. I would expect that on any other show but this one.

William Bell already did the story with Marge/Kay, so a look-a-like thing isn't too far fetched, even for Y&R standards. And from what I was reading in the summer of 1988 about Brad being locked in a cage, I wouldn't say this is the most outrageous thing to happen either.
