October 12, 200619 yr Member OMG, I'm watching my tape now and I was about to LOSE it just now when Sam saw Luis and Fancy and said, "What's going on here? Are you dating? Because if you are dating, I'm gonna kick you BOTH off the force." Um, can he DO that?!! Isn't this 'romantic' discrimination? After all, we do NOT CHOOSE THE ONES WE LOVE. Because of that, if he can do this (and if this is how other police stations operate) then I want to go on the record and say that SUCKS!!! I am LIVID right now. LIVID!!!! Do it, Sam. Fire them. If it were me, I'd SUE THE PANTS OFF OF YOU. How DARE you get in the way of love? How DARE you, you inconsiderate JERK!!!! (I am SO ticked off about this, and I hope other fans are enraged as well at this socially unjust situation). ... Onto other parts of the show.. I AM ROLLING AROUND, dying, RIGHT NOW ON THE FLOOR. Whitney is giong to forget about her suspicion that Chad's having an affair, and why? Because of a DOLL?!!! Did anyone else see this? How she turned from enraged to giddy as a schoolgirl when Chad flashed her this doll that looks just like her? Is this girl THAT vain? What is her problem? What's WRONG with her head? WHY is she so inept? WHAT is Whitney's problem? *:* Note to self: WHitney is an idiot!! It's official!! She became a bimbo the SECOND she even HINTED at smiling at Chad for his stupid doll. The Gwen/Rebecca/JT/ethan/Jaresa chase was INCREDIBLE! JT in a green shirt was ridiculously funny. Who wears a green tank top??? That's incredible!!! He's so great. Once again, JT and Rebecca are a goldmine. GIVE THIS MAN A CONTRACT. ------ OH MY GOD, I am absolutelely LIVID!!!! I just saw that the local NBC affiliate BROADCAST what appears to be the entire Luis/Fancy sex flick with a title that reads "Harmony PD scandal." WHAT? How is this a scandal? And how DARE they? And what self-respecting news organization would broadcast the whole flick like that? Again, I am LIVID by this new development. But what pisses me off more is Sam in the preview, asking what the hell they were doing, getting in front of a camera and having "graphic sex" with a cadet? Um, THEY DID NOT HAVE SEX. I don't buy it. And weren't they just under the covers the whole time or was there nudity or implied nudity? Did I miss it? Because all I saw was implied foreplay. Whatever the case, I am LIVID rightnow!!!!
October 12, 200619 yr Member If it's stated in the rules that officers cannot date cadets, they both can be terminated from their position for violating it. It runs the risk of sexual harrassment, so a lot of jobs would rather have a clause stating that there should be no office dating. Not all companies have a no-dating-in-the-workplace clauses, but some do. A police academy certainly would have one to avoid potential sexual harrassment lawsuits. And they had sex. If they said that they had sex on camera, then they had sex. End of story. There's no "I don't believe they didn't have sex because they didn't show any penis insertion" here.

Cadets cannot sleep with their superiors, you know like how teacher cannots sleep with their students. There are rules established......there's a code of conduct.

Oh, no you don't, Danni. This time I believe the proof is on my side. You were right about Jaresa, but I think I'm right in that Lucy did not do the 'do.' Remember what Luis said? "We FAKED it!" So, if that's true, it's ridiculous for the news station to run the sex tape as if it were a hardcore screwing tape. Why would Luis say they faked it unless he's lying? In truth, we may NEVER know what really happened on that bed, thanks to NBC's lack of courage to SHOW THE SEX--or simulated sex, as the case may be. JER, I IMPLORE you to clear up this IMMEDIATELY. Either Lucy had sex and Luis lied to Sam about their 'faking it' or they didn't have sex. Really, all we have to go on is LUis' word, and by that, Danni, they had no sex. -- On the other issue: I'm sorry, maybe this is legal but it shouldn't be. It's discrimination against love! I stand by my statement about Sam being a pig.
October 12, 200619 yr Member On the other issue: I'm sorry, maybe this is legal but it shouldn't be. It's discrimination against love! I stand by my statement about Sam being a pig.Good thing you're SOL cause with that thinking, it'd be okay for a teacher to have sex with a 12-year old because it's "love". So, if that's true, it's ridiculous for the news station to run the sex tape as if it were a hardcore screwing tape. Why would Luis say they faked it unless he's lying? I do believe you answered your own question because if it turns out to be a scandal, then something happened.
October 12, 200619 yr Author Member Danni, obviously I'm opposed to teachers having sex with or courting underage students. I am, however, in favor of legal aged adults making their own decisions about their love lives. On to Luis, it may not be that cut-and-dry. Obviously, this news station is all about SENSATIONALISM. To run a sex tape that long (it appears they're airing the ENTIRE freakin' thing) is ridiculous first of all. But notice that the footage they're showing has only extreme closeups of Luis and Fancy kissing. From that angle, they could both be topless and just be making out. Or Luis could be topless and Fancy could have a bra on. Sorry, but I'm VERY suspicious of that news station's ethics. And I don't buy that Lucy had sex. Again, unless Luis lied to Sam. At which point Sam should TAN HIS HIDE.

October 12, 200619 yr Member Or the higher ups told JER to edit it out, so there wasn't much that could be seen... In any case, don't like the no dating in the work place policy... work someplace else. It's that simple.
October 12, 200619 yr Author Member Happily, my workplace has no archaic dating policy such as the neanderthals at the Harmony PD. But again, whether NBC edited it is not the point. My whole argument is we NEED the truth. Luis is an upstanding guy. Apart from that time he pulled the gun on Sam and threatened to kill hm, he's a good cop and wouldn't lie to Sam like that. So, thisis HUGE if in fact, they DID have sex and Luis lied to Sam. That's why I'm NOT going to let this one go. And JER, if you're reading this, extreme closeups of making out does NOT a porno (or sexual intercourse) make.
October 12, 200619 yr Member There's nothing neanderthal about having a no-dating policy in the work place. Once again, it is to prevent a potential risk of sexual harrassment (key words here, in case you haven't noticed).

October 12, 200619 yr Member And cops not being able to date one another has been a plot point on soaps for YEARS. If I'm not mistaken, there was a similar relationship hurdle between Gary & Josie on AW when she was in the academy and he was her superior. They had to keep their relationship secret. When the truth came out, they both nearly got kicked off the force, but the chief (I think it was Joe, actually) relented. Also, I think there was a prime-time TV show in the 1980s (am I thinking 'Jack & Mike'?) about 2 police officers who were married in secret because their department forbid fraternization? Fraternization bans are not uncommon. In fact, a lot of workplaces don't even allow superiors to even *socialize* with subordinates during their off hours. I've worked at several places in the past with such rules (all corporate restaurant). A manager showed up at one after-work party once and it was a *big* deal and we were all sworn to secrecy so he wouldn't get in trouble and possibly lose his job. It's called the real world, folks.
October 12, 200619 yr Member I thought Sam did something evil by reading the title. Workplace romances are frowned upon in some offices; mandated in others, but I do think there are legalities involved if a superior dates an employee.
