Interesting that the show is titled A Tale of Two Cities b/c in the season finale Desmond was reading a Dickens' novel and commented on it. I'm pissed at ABC, there were like commercials every 5 minutes, sometimes faster!! I hate it! I can't tell if the others are really good or not. Sure they think they are but they aren't acting that way!! Everything was wicked! I'm loving that LOST is back. But I hate that there are only 5 more eppys before it is gone ... Matthew Fox rocked this episode. Great acting. Next week looks really good with all action. Good news for the writing team of Lost. Drew Goddard, Monica Breen and, Alison Schapker are on staff this season. All 3 are from Alias writing staff. Also Drew is mostly known from his time writing for Buffy and Angel. Great additions! Damn it is good. Matthew Fox looked so hot and he was so good. Elizabeth Mitchell, I never liked her in much before, but I liked her tonight. I like the new character of Julia/Juliette (not sure which name it is). The scene between Kate/Ben at the table was creepy...when he told her to enjoy herself now because the next two weeks will be unpleasant. Can't wait to see what this show has in store for us. Members KevC1980 Posted October 5, 2006 Members Share Posted October 5, 2006 i guess i was the only one who was a little unimpressed..The opening sequence was incredible, and i had to re-watch that..But the episode was a little boring..Kate's scene with "Ben" was good, i really like this new Julia character (her knowing all about Jack's past was very interesting)...and Sawyer and Kate had a nice scene..the rest was kind of blah..I didn't care for Jack's backstory.. Does this mean Jack's father was sober for over 50 days until Jack accused him of sleeping with her and attacked him at the AA meeting, in which case Jack was responsible for his father's drinking again? I'm glad Kate asked about Sawyer first. It's time for their romance to really begin. Julia/Juliette is a great addition to the cast. Unlike Ana Lucia last season, I actually felt sympathy for her. The ratings were big for the show this year, it beat last year's season finale and season premiere. One thing, the show has stated that they aren't going to do a lot of sci fi elements like last year and focus more on character dynamics but I hope that isn't gone completely either.
