Wearing jeans = feministic propaganda? To me, wearing jeans = comfortable. Don't think the jeans were a statement. She's a mom for heck's sake, she probably lives in jeans.

Ali's dress is HORRID imo. Very unflattering.

Pest Spray, just so you know, for formal things like parties or special events, I disagree with women's jeans. Again, Ali has the right idea. She actually dressed up for this shindig. Don't get me wrong, Dee is cute and all, but it just wasn't appropriate for this type of event. I mean, St. Jude! D-. Easily.

It's an event where they get dressed up to raise money for others, not show off the most expensive dress they have. DH's done this for years, she knows what she should and shouldn't do.

Well, that's questionable. I mean, yes, she has the right to dress in jeans for such a lavish event but personally, in my humble view, this was a huge mistake. That's all I'm saying. Obviously I can't get her arrested for wearing jeans with -- my God -- pointy dress shoes! -- but I can think she was wrong for doing so. Had it been my event I wouldn't have kicked her out but I would silently think, "How dreadful!"

As for wearing jeans, I could see if Dee was wearing some faded old jeans or something (although that is a style these days) but she is dressed really nice and casual. Ali is as well. Ali's dress is not really that formal-more like the old "Hollywood Hip" style they had at the SOD awards where some were dressed up and some were just casual. That is what we have here. Honestly, Dee has done these things before and so has Ali. They know what they can and should wear and what is acceptable.

It's an outfit to an event for heck's sake. One she's been to every year since it was originated. She's not a newbie, she knows what's acceptable.

That said, I love the orange outfit she wore on the catwalk, and the blue one too!

I have never seen Ali look this good, she is smoking in these pics!

I don't see the big deal about Dee wearing jeans and as always she looks great.

I have to disagree with JSF. Jeans have become more and more 'formal' as far as style goes. It's all what's worn with it that make sit either particularly formal or particularly casual. With that top and those shoes, I say formal.

Like I said, I can appreciate the change in fashions but I still disagree with the trend. I'm sure the jeans were passable in today's society, but I just shake my head at how blue jeans, once looked down upon as the simple human's clothing, now are worn as formal attire. (By the way, at this juncture I probably should say I'm generally anti-jeans on any woman; there's just something too liberal about the current blue jeans 'n' flip flops fashion wave...it's too relaxed, too unisex). Again, just my opinion, not saying its Gospel. I just have strong reservations against them.

I think tight jeans look great on a woman

And those aren't ANY pair of jeans Dee is wearing. They're obviously designer jeans in the $200+ range.

The nice, classy lace jacket makes her perfect for any occassion.
