Alright I've been an SON member for over 6 years now..and i have to admit that i am a SON addict..I spend more time on this board than i do on any other soap board or message board..Even more time on here than myspace..

I wake up every morning and check SON..my friend that is staying with me makes fun of me all the time for spending so much time on here..He's always like "what ya reading?"

I love this website, and enjoy posting with all you very much...Its like my online family!!!

Kenny as one of the guys from SONARC/Channa days I have come to just enjoy most of your posts. That may sound kinda silly, but me and my sis always laugh at some of your sayings. And to this day we both use the word orgasmic because of you. The board is not the same when you aren't around, so I am glad you weren't banned for life. When were the days of SONARC anyway, I know I was in high school and read the board using cheap ass webtv. That had to have been in the 90's or at the earliest 2000. Time sure does fly by....

I only visit 2 soap boards and one of them is just deader than Michael Jackson's nose, so I rarely go there anymore. The reason I like SON so much is because I honestly feel like I know some of you all even though none of us have met in real life. Another huge reason SON is different was explained by Kenny above.

And while there has been a few more arguments than usual I still find this board the best soap site on the web to discuss soaps and everything else that goes on in the real world.

I don't know about the rest, but I agree with the first two lines. I was there and saw all that drama but it wasn't just that board that I saw Kenny way back when...gosh, it must have been, well, it had to be somewhere around August 1999. So long ago! Yeah, his posts are always entertaining. Currently, I'm enjoying the Kristen posts. He's SO energetic and hopeful for it that even if you hated Eileen and didn't want her on "Days," you would change your position just so he could have her back on the show.

SONARC was from 2000 - 2001. SONARC shut down in 2001 after that whole fun fiasco, and Alyssa/Toups decided to open SON shortly after 9/11.

I think it's because you have a way with words. Every now and again I'll remember something you said, too. Right now, I remember sipping on coke and munching on chips while checking the boards (this was about two years ago), when I came upon your post where you bashed the special effects at the end of "Days of Our Lives" and the way you described it--how Drake had stars shooting out of his head and how they were spinning and sparkling...gosh, it nearly made me choke to death. The over-the-top nature of that message underscored the need for "Days" to get rid of the effects, since they had elicited such a response.

LoL! I remember that post. Freeze-frame on Drake's face as the background turns shiny gold, his eyes suddenly glow bright white... twinkling stars fall on his face like snow and shimmer on his cheeks as pretty little chirping bluebirds fly across the screen... something like that. I swear to God, it's been that bad before.

And to think, all this time later, the show still hasn't gotten the hint.

I mostly saw and chatted with you on the AOL board. Yeah, I've seen you at Coffeerooms, too, but that was too hard for me to post on. It's a fine board, but too cluttered for me. (Okay, it was the lack of Invision board -- the, hello, BEST message board software ever!!)

I've always said what sets SON apart from all the rest is that no matter how much we fight, we respect each other in the end. We engage in thoughtful discussion and our threads aren't the "OMG ISN'T _________ SO HOT?!!!" We can debate our opinions and though it gets very, VERY tense at times, we agree to disagree in the end.

Shawn and I have been friends for a few years now and I'm glad I got the chance to know him. He was the target of a bunch of haters and the staff on TBTSNBN (The board that shall not be named) totally hung him out to dry. I was the ONLY person on the staff of TBTSNBN who defended Shawn publicly and privately. We became friends after that. He was so turned off by the experience that he even left the board that I was running. However he saw the SON environment and I guess he liked it because he hasn't left yet

It's very rare when you see board originals continuing to post on the boards (Kenny, Rugrat, Rick, etc sorry if I left your name out) and that says something here. They and so many others have stuck with SON through the good, the bad and the fugly and we're better because of it.

Ryan. I don't think I'll be leaving here anytime soon. I love here. Honestly, I come to the board almost without realizing it.

Now if only we could get rid of those damn adbots who post about Viagra and Hair Growth products.

i still can't remember how i found this place but when i did i left another so fast it would make your head spin. LOL. I love it here and there's no way i'd leave. Even if i ended up hating soaps somewhere in my life, which i hope to god never ever happens, i would still probably make me come here because of the friends i've made here

It's a thread on the NBC Days board, discussing whether or not the show should introduce a gay character.

I love this place. It is one of the only boards out there that have stability and level-headed people. Other places are too censored. They believe just because they are privately owned, they can strip people of their natural born rights and make up stupid rules about quoting (I mean honestly, who gives a rats ass about quoting) and then there are the fanb*tches who like to go to these certain boards and just spew their nausating love for their couple and hatred towards anyone that dares disagree with them and they'll even go as far as to use *my* sn at other boards to spew their hatred against certain characters/actors/actresses. Okay, so that may have been a little personal there, lol but anyway, this place is great. We may not always get along but it is a pleasant place to post. You guys are all awesome!

In other places, my banner, my avatar, and my Erica love have made me public enemy number 1. LMAO, I no joke, got banned from another board 10 times. The last time it was because I said something negative about a couple that was "adored" on that board, and that fanbase had the moderators in their back pockets.

This place is amazing. I can fly my banner. Share my David/Erica, and Erica love, and no one seems to care. I love this place.
