DAYS: January 2024 Discussion Thread
Even disturbed, not sleeping, unkempt Drake looks good. I would say he's incapable of looking bad if not for the Mexican adventure in '91 when those Bermuda shorts that people wore then look absolutely horrific on him! The scabs are writing much better dialog. We are getting so spoiled! However, I know they're trying for a slow build on this "John's past as the Pawn" storyline & I'm trying to be patient but it's not working & I find myself trying to will them to get underway with it! Well, I respect your take on it but, me, I am bored with the two of them. Bored with him, period. Bored with her when she's with him. Except for JT/Roman's speech about how & why Lucas is family to him, I found all of that boring & strange which is an odd combination. Today's show was directed by Satan's EP Alarr. I keep hoping for the last time we see that name in the credits

It aired from 1964-1966 & Port Charles was not set as the GH location until 1976 or 1977. It makes no sense. In modern times there have definitely been some mentions of neighborhoods where people at GH lived but this was decades after TYM was off the air. It was just after GH on the schedule & the same production company was involved with both.

ALL: Character's heyday vs Character's low point
I don't follow. The idea that Cass was Maggie's father was a new idea.

Thank you for saying so! And, I have never seen any point in doing anything but owning up to the error & moving on. I mean the point is not to be personally "right" but for the information to be so!! Just this week I saw on Wikipedia that they now say THE YOUNG MARRIEDS was a spin-off of GH. I corrected that already on a GH wiki & I guess I'm going to have to do it again!

Ratings from the 70's
I know for sure it was the 70s & I also know it was a husband-wife team for sure, so they fit.

Okay, I get it. We should start a place of our own.

Aw, shucks. You'll make me blush. But, I love research, so I'm stuck, pleasurably. And that other, well, 99.9% of the time I get people who talk about Beverlee with respect, affection, great appreciation, ...

No! I will definitely look for it. Thanks for the heads up! Patrick Mulcahey said one of the best things about soaps is just being able to eavesdrop on people sitting talking to each other. I concur.

Truly a very special time in soaps & ATWT was where it was going on. I am just so thankful that a clip like this exists on YouTube!

GH: O’Connor/Van Etten OUT! Mulcahey/Korte IN!
Wow, I want to see that. Do you happen to know if it's up or even what it's date was? I know, asking too much.

ALL: Character's heyday vs Character's low point
NO, on topic! You just listed a low point for Cecile!!! Here, I'll help. A high point for Cecile was when she abandoned the scam she'd been running by saying that Cass was her daughter Maggie's father & admitted that he was not. And, God Bless, the wonderful Nancy Frangione, who unfortunately left us last year.

Daily Hotness
YOWZA When Bradley teased #Braylor I picked B&B back up for about a month, just to see if he would actually go there, thinking he would not, but I posted about a spin-off of Brooke & Taylor, two mature extraordinarily beautiful women in something like "The L Word Meets Dynasty"! I guarantee it would have made new soap fans out of a lotta women!

Your daily (or nightly) thought
That is even better than this famous photo of 2 fans at a WNBA game giving each other this huge smooch when the Jumbatron camera landed on them!

Ratings from the 70's
Wasn't it the Hollands who located the show in Port Charles for the first time?

You do realize where you are? We are very very very different. I respect any fan of any soap who fought for their show. That you don't reflects on you, not on me!

GH: January 2024 Discussion Thread
I really enjoy Felicia, too, especially as a PI but also as a friend. Today I talked to a fan who saw Michael Easton at a fan event & he would not discuss "FIZ". All he said was that everything we were thinking, they are thinking, too, and then he changed the subject. I said that if this had been Mo they would have changed his story! So, maybe it's not only #FreeLiz but is also #FreeFinn ...

Gosh, you defy intelligent thought. Obviously 1300 signatures is an incredible number and definitely does show growth. And, no, of course NATAS doesn't know anything about this yet. It won't be delivered to them until the petition drive is ended in a declaration of victory. Why don't you consider posting about something that you actually know about? Just a suggestion.

ALL: Character's heyday vs Character's low point
Yes, Jackee played Lily Mason. And they tried to make a lady out of Tony the Tuna's niece Dee Evans. Agree about the gorilla in the finale!! That night with the truck is the best thing & they really did crash into Tall Boys!!!

NBC Daytime
In the movie NETWORK Faye Dunaway played exec Diana & she was patterned after Lin Bolen NBC Daytime VP who was the one to take Pete Lemay's idea & expand the soaps to an hour.

GH: O’Connor/Van Etten OUT! Mulcahey/Korte IN!
Pierpaolo Dongiovanni has corrected me about this. PM had left SB but when the Dobsons returned they asked him to come back & write this stuff so he was back for 2 episodes.
