Well, they have continued non-stop to not only try to rehab Leo but to perform a total whitewash! But other propping, yes, we got a break. And, I do appreciate that.

Conversely, I've enjoyed the respite from constant plot-driven storytelling. There's been more insight into character motivations, greater interaction between previously siloed characters and scenes that last longer than 30 seconds. It's still not a great show by any means but I've found a fair amount to like about it. Then again, I was weaned on Bill Bell's DAYS, when plot progression could take years. (Looking at you, Mike Horton.) Ron still will be back in May. Not gonna change. This is March. Agree. Agree. Also on Bill Bell's DAYS. However, I'm really unhappy at the moment & it's because of this Pawn crapola & because this is showing Drake at his very worst & I thought we were past that.

I think it's neat that on both my soaps the teens are suddenly so interesting. On DAYS Holly & Tate are who we care about & on GH I'm excited about Jake, Aiden & Rocco! I didn't even remember what Rocco looked like forever. And, now I'm watching for him!

It's silliness. Do you ever have your soaps show up in your dreams? I do. I just read a kind of a journal entry for Mar. 24th, a year ago, I believe, although it could be 2022. Mar 24 I had the strangest dream. I'm already forgetting it. In a way it was like an experience that Sonny had yesterday with Marshall on General Hospital. Marshall is trying to hide something about his past & Marshall is warning Sonny off from having anything to do with him or his family. Apparently Marshall is either fearful or offended at Sonny's status as the Head of the TWO Families that used to be Five. So, anyway, Marshall is either making a fool of himself or is like a little frou-frou dog that thinks it is a Rottie. So, in this dream, I had an hour to produce this document from scratch that indicated that I had no intention of taking advantage of this other party. This was ludicrous to me but serious to them so I wrote out said doc in long hand, nothing else being available. The doc was satisfactory & they let me go & went away. The dream was so real I feel like it really happened. This may take awhile to shake off.

Actors who are active on social media tend to have other people from their show in their contacts. Most people find that natural. He did have both actresses who played Trina in his contacts & so he unfollowed both of them. But the larger picture is that he completely scrubbed all GH off of his profile, not that he singled them out. It's not odd that they reacted since they apparently weren't savvy to actor's "people" trying to conceal their soap backgrounds but if they don't calm down once offered information like that, sure, rabid. What I saw was people calming down, way down. I'm sure some will continue to harangue.

Here I happen to totally agree! Of course, I don't think I would have liked Mark & Connor's treehouse sex at any other time either, though! That was one Insta-Pairing that I was 💯against. She was a beautiful, brilliant, strong woman & business person & leader & he was eye candy with a great body & a magnificent jawline. I'm a sucker for a strong jaw but they were simply not a fit. That was the scene where they were going to show his butt ... but they didn't go through with it. Might have had to do with Michael Kape publishing a blind item about it in that little Atlanta soap mag.

I went into a Twitter Spaces earlier being held by some of SprinaNation & just listened for awhile. People were speaking making a whole lot of sense. The topic basically was that NAC was not being racist by scrubbing his social media contacts, specifically including Taby. They pointed out that this is something many actors are asked to do & do for their current projects. Blake Lively completely changing all of her social media contacts for a movie was given as an example. One thing that was said that I've seen & heard a lot there is that when THE GATES is underway if GH is not giving good story to black actors, then they are outta there. I think that is a great example of the marketplace speaking loud & clear.

This is something that did NOT happen, but it may add to the general knowledge. In 1998-99 when cancelation was finally imminent for Another World about 5 companies approached P&G about deals they were interested in that would have continued the show in some form in another venue. One of those companies was Fox. They wanted AW to begin a daytime line-up of their own. Actually they wanted both AW & ATWT. No idea why they had fixed on those two as a goal. Maybe they thought of them as a set. Anyway, P&G said no to whatever they offered, as they did to all of the companies that came courting. As a fan activist it was my first experience in following the Business pages of the paper & Advertising Age. Also Michael Kape who was a soap journo & 1 of 3 editors of the Atlanta digest sized SOAP OPERA NOW BITD says that he tried over & over to get Fox on board with soaps of their own to no avail.

As a rule I do not FF anything on a soap I watch. IMO inevitably you will miss something & it might be something that is going to change where you might like it better, etc. But also I don't watch any soap for one character, one actor, one couple, I try to be open to the whole show. Now, I don't succeed. I have people on my personal cut lists, of course! Nothing could change my mind about my hatred of Violet, for example. Sexy Dexy & Joss are fairly hohum for me, though. No hatred centered there. It was hard to get myself to do that, not FF, but I just stuck with it. I wonder at times if I'm the only person crazy enough to force myself to watch things that make me go UGH.
