I've always wondered why they never brought Carol back in future years. But then again, it was probably for the best. They'd probably have her come back being a vixen wanting to break up Tom and Margo. That would've been more for Natalie to do but I digress. Reading up on her history, post-Tom, Carol stayed getting with sleazeballs (re: Jay and Steve). Does anyone know who Jeff and Annie were spying on? Also, how long before Cynthia gets phased out now that it appears David has his memory back?- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I thought Lesa earned her first seat. Now Ayan... meh. She earned 2nd at best. But I guess b/c their friendship breakup was the biggest selling point, it makes sense. Honestly, I just hope Lesa is wary of Ayan going forward. I am sure they made amends at the reunion; however, I would never fully trust her again if I were Lesa.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread

And you KNOW my girl is going to bring it up next season.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
It's Erin for me. Sai irks my nerves too, but I think she'll move differently this season as you can tell she didn't like how she was perceived last season. I expect her to pull a Camille.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread

Yikes. I am with @slick jones, I didn't expect the boat to hit her either. For the period this was shot in, ATWT exceeded expectations. I thought it was going to be cheesy and look cheap. They proved me wrong. 😆 @Khan! You didn't wanna hear Melinda scream out even more that Brad is the perfect lover?!- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....

Ubah?- B&B: Character Recast!
This is why I don't even invest in this show anymore. Brad's not even trying. He probably thinks the sh*t is funny. What sane EP would think Rebecca Budig could pull this role off? She looks about the same age as JMW. And can they just retire Taylor? If they aren't going to have her come back and seek out a man that isn't Ridge, don't bring her back. Fans are sick of Brooke/Ridge/Taylor. That song and dance played out about 2005. Move on.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Sai or Erin?- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
This makes me feel better that I am not the only one who sees how the pairing of Stacey/Jack is stifling at times. Did you hate when Jack was "killed" off, or did you view it as a chance for Stacey to grow as a character? From what I've seen with her with Buck, she did at least have spunk that she didn't possess with Jack. On paper, Loving seems to have had all the right ideas, but they didn't always know how to execute them. And it didn't help that regimes didn't last long. While I know that AMC was Agnes' golden child, I do wish that she would've spent more time propping Loving up.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Yikes, Kelvin. Yeah, Andy can stay gone or simply recast. I am just tired of men being victims of Aaron at this point. I really wish Danny Miller would've found success out of this show b/c Aaron needs to be put on permanent ice.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
Are we talking about Kelvin? And what are his political views if you don't mind me asking? Lord, he's a Brexit/Conservative nut, huh? Jesus. That aside, I do feel like Diane needs to be brought back a stint to at least acknowledge him and build some type of relationship with him.- Emmerdale: Discussion Thread
So do you think they are possibly setting up for a Robert return too? And the two brothers to face off for Aaron? As someone who used to love Aaron, I grew to hate him by the time I stopped watching full-time. I grew tired of him sulking over wanting to change Robert. Like it grew tiresome. I think not having Diane there to assimilate this character into the Sugdens is going to be hard to convince too. I do agree that having made him Joe's son might've been better b/c you wouldn't need Diane there for that. You kind of need Robert and Andy there too. Is Kelvin open to returning? I doubt Ryan or Karl would want to reprise their role as Robert.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
That's Phaedra at her core. When you don't comply with what she wants, she goes for the jugular and tries to destroy you. We saw her attempt to do that with Nene, Kandi, and Kenya, which led to her eventual demise. She can never fight a little dirty. She has to get covered in mud and then buckles down on lying despite footage showing her doing stuff. She only ran back to RHOA b/c the women of M2M allegedly ran her off their show, so she had to return to the "Titanic" (her words). Phaedra has NEVER been good TV to me... except for when she got exposed at the season 9 reunion for the r*pe rumors she started against Kandi. Watching her demise was a thing of beauty.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread
It wouldn't've killed the writers either to have Jennifer drop a line about Melinda when she had a ghostly visit when she visited Kim in her coma back in '96. It just bothers me how none of these writers take the time to study the show and crack up a book, interview actors about their characters, or read recaps. It mean it was all accessible to them. Maybe it is just me but I find that to be the most entertaining part of the writing process--doing research.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
Thank you @DRW50 for those clips with Rick and Curtis. And thank you @Kane for the insight. I hate to hear that they put Curtis & Rick at odds instead of having them ban together against Jack. I like Jack, but I find him and Stacey together insufferable from what I've seen of them. I think I enjoyed the clips I've seen of them apart more than I did of them together.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I was over old RHONY post-Bethenny, Tinsley, Dorinda, and Carole leaving. Honestly, the show peaked for me in season 10. Leah was horrible for the show, and Eboni would've been a better casting choice for current NY instead of the old rendition. Plus, I grew tired of watching Ramona, Sonja, Luann, and Dorinda get drunk, p*ss or sh*t on themselves, and pass men around. How many times do we have to endure that? I would've been fine with Dorinda and Luann joining the new crew though, but RHONY needed to seriously look and feel like NY--diverse and cosmopolitan. Crazily, I am becoming more and more in favor of reboots with new casts. I don't think this new reboot with Porsha and Phaedra on ATL is going to give as people think it will. I will tune in, but Porsha and Phaedra have never been alphas, as they are too secretive and lie too much. This is why you need a Kandi, Nene, or Kenya to steer the boat. All three of them are great captains (for different reasons), who know how to spark enough interest to get people somewhat interested. If this season is a dud, I'll be begging for a total reboot. With NJ, I don't even want a NJ reboot. Just wrap the show up with a pretty bow and leave it alone. If Housewives is still on in about 5-10 years, go back and revisit it like Miami. Otherwise, leave it alone. I'd prefer for them to do a NOLA Housewives with Tamica and Reagan from Southern Charm NOLA. Or go to Santa Barbara or Vegas. Jaq (of NJ) has already said she'd love to produce and find women for the Vegas show.- As The World Turns Discussion Thread

Were these the last few months of Roya in the role of Ava? From what I've seen of Roya as Ava, she does scream mini-Rachel Davis/Erica Kane. I commend old soap writers as their stories were so strong that they could take the same tropes and reapply them to different shows or characters and still make it work if plotted correctly. I do think that Lisa came in and defined Ava on her own, but I feel (and correct me if I wrong) she was declawed and somewhat made the heroine instead of the vixen. The scene with Ava/Cabot was cute too. I know it was probably hard for Cabot to accept Ava as she was already on her third Alden man at that man point (even though Alex wasn't Clay). It was good to see the early beginnings of Alex coming into play. What were everyone's thoughts on Lily's return? I wish more 80s episodes of Loving was accessible as I would love to see stuff from that time. But reading up on it, I suspect that Lily really wasn't fleshed out as her original run and just came back to be a saboteur for Jack/Stacey. Would she have even considered being a model for Amourellle? That seems farfetched for her, but I guess if she intended to be in Jack's orbit, she'd compromise. I've said this before, but I hate that the show didn't see the potential in Rick. Having him scheme and be mowed down by Jack & Stacey time after time had to be frustrating to watch in real-time. Plus, he comes off as Curtis 2.0. Did those two ever meet and interact? I wonder how that went if so... I'd hope they would've bonded over being in the shadow of golden boy Jack.- Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
@Cat, I love real estate as I worked in the industry (the title portion) for 4.5 years. So I wholeheartedly enjoyed Brynn's apartment. IDK if I would've redid the apartment and possibly lost my security deposit in the process, but I tip my hat to her. She upgraded the place. And I don't know if I could ever live in NYC with the small apartments there for the price being paid for it. What NYers pay for an apartment, I can get a mortgage on a "McMansion" here in Georgia. I might be in the minority but I enjoy nuRHONY. That's why I am all for a NJ reboot if they need to do one. Same with Atlanta if this upcoming season does not pan out (I get vibes it won't). Honestly, I am to the point where I feel Bravo needs to keep Dubai, Miami, nuNY, SLC, and possibly Potomac (this season will be their determining factor too), dump the rest and either reboot in those cities or find newer cities altogether. The brand is starting to wane.- Loving/The City Discussion Thread
