Speaking of the Donovans, is it just me or does their kitchen somewhat mirror the Snyder farm on ATWT? That whole kitchen to the porch aesthetic? That's why I believe as @Sapounopera pointed out that the Donovans must've been Marland's idea.

But from reading up on Loving, didn't we need Cabot and Isabelle to center the Aldens? Cabot seemed to be a protector for the fragile Ann and wasn't Isabelle used to center Curtis until his sector of the family started to drift onto the canvas a year or two after the inception? I agree that Jim, Mike, and Noreen weren't needed originally if the intention was always to throw them into a quad with Shana. But again, was that the original plan?

Oh, wow! I did not know that! Now that makes tons of sense about a lot of his actions. But I still wish they would've worked something out with Beau DeMayo. Still watching '83 of EON, and I am boggled how Preacher went from woman beater to hero. And Jody being attracted to him eventually much less. But let me stop because two of my favorite male characters in soaps, Roger and Jack, had murky pasts towards women but I guess b/c I always saw them repent and atone for their behavior that why I forgave them.

OK. I have so many questions and comments. 1. What is the backstory between Wade/Karen? Can I add that Millee Taggert looks beautiful and regal as Janet? This is the second clip I've seen of her as Janet--the other being her last episode as Janet. 2. Why was John so upset when he saw Kathy? I didn't even recognize Ann Williams in the clip. Also, it is hilarious that John Cunningham & Ann Williams would go on to be the Slaters on Loving. I wish more from the first year of Loving would pop up as reading a synopsis of it makes that show seem good too. 3. Was this around the time that John/Jennifer were having an affair? 4. Dave Wilkins is Wendy's dad, right? 5. I assume this is shortly after Tony's death, right? 6. Was this during the age when STF was on the upswing in the ratings? Wasn't the show doing good about 74 to 77? I hope more clips from this era emerge. This was a good, subtle, classic episode.

I am so glad you posted this before I did, @Vee. I was just coming to post about AOC's live as I watched it. She practically confirmed what I've been saying and suspecting--the "elites" want to run a white male ticket but won't say it. They don't want Kamala either. But it warmed my heart that AOC blasted them. For years they have been making her out to be the problem child (not saying she hasn't at times), but now she is the one exposing detractors in the party for worrying more about donors than voters. I wish she named names, but we know who she is talking about. Tonight panned out to be one of the best nights during this election run. The next will be Biden accepting his nomination followed by him winning in November. A classic case of "Ain't no fun when the rabbit (AOC) has the gun." And Trump fumbling hard made it even better. Now all the detractors in the media and party have to come crawling back with egg on their faces. Joe and Kamala are better than me. I know they'll take the high road but I wouldn't.

Well, I am glad that reports are coming out tonight that Biden is doubling down by not stepping down. I am so happy Hilary has come out and supported his decision too. I really think this is going to blow up in the faces of all these morons b/c Biden is going to stubbornly (and I support it) refuse to step down. It'll please me even more when he wins and they have to go and acknowledge that he knew what he was talking about. But I stand firm that this has nothing to do with Biden's age. This has to do with these white elites not wanting Kamala to gain any more traction.
