Here's hoping that's a hint about the near future. I can't wait for Luke to get back. The chill was in the air this morning, Fall is on it's way, school is starting... time for LuNacy to return.

Every writer writes from their own interest first - if they wrote for the interest of others it wouldn't get very far nor very focused. As for the "vets" argument, that's a tough sell on this show because technically it's the Beloved Vets who are getting sidelined, but many of the regular character have vet status now. Do I think there can be more integration? Sure I do and put in my hands we'd be having a lot more intergenerational stuff. But with only 38 minutes a day and the largest cast in daytime, they numbers don't always make it possible to include every connection. In general TPTB are doing far better now than they did a few years back. The unfortunate thing is if your favs aren't part of the weave, it's seems like it's not being done.

Hey Star, read the blog about Bubbee, he's really coming along - such a cutie. The writers walk a tight-rope. They have to keep this show going and growing while honouring the past, but fans always want that to include all their favourites from when they first fell in love with the show. That's just not reasonable. The thing is they didn't kill Monica just like they didn't kill Bobbie. Mike and Helena have always been on recurring. Really, this isn't the end of the world. I think they learned their mistake with SD's firing and killing of Alan.... they haven't killed a vet since. And contract doesn't guarantee anything for anyone - regardless of age or longevity with the show.

I've long held that LC is the one who should have gotten the boot the other year, not SD. She might be Jason's mother but what good is an actress who can't even move her face? JZ did it to herself also. It's a bitch, but there it is. Plastic surgery is ruining careers, and I can't say this one surprises me in the least.

What were his conclusions, Hooked? I see that with the final weeks of ATWT, folks are now starting to ask who's next. I think we've seen all the soap cancellations we're going to see for some time. I think people forget the politics and ownership behind the remaining 6, and quite frankly it's a more manageable number considering the soap watching habits of 2010. We might not have the "best" shows left, but we have the ones the owners/network support the most and often that's more significant.

And some think being a mother is an easy way to go about life - if they only knew. Glad your baby is okay, Hooked, and glad mine aren't anywhere near that age yet. Just the thought makes my blood run cold.

Just as long as Lucky is out of town when Liz returns, I don't really care. Though I like him with Claire, that seems stalled at the very least. It is about time for Lukey to be returning and for Trace to start thinking fondly of him. Apparently she's got about a 2 month window where she can let him walk, and then the LuNacy need in her starts to want him back. Luke seems to be able to hold out for 3 months - 5 only when he thought she dumped him for good - so I imagine he's pining away too. How long until October again?

Tracy spoiler - SI on DD says Tracy admits to Lucky that she misses Luke (That's Trucky, it anyone is keeping track!) Also a load of young'n's are heading our way. Guess they are getting around to fleshing out the teen scene and not having Michael's and Krissy's story be so much about their parents f-ups.

Meh.... it all started because some New Yorkers decided we Canadians actually wanted to be "liberated" from the British too and they had their asses handed back to them. It wasn't about making you us, it was about making us you. About the Tracy spoiler, not only nice to see one but nice to see one that might actually have a chance in playing out. I wish they wouldn't put her with stories (Valentin now Mayan) that they decide to pull/shelf 'cause she should be around town into everyone's business. She's got enough connections to do that.

No Tracy, sadly. BUT... and as a Canadian historian I love this.... Krissy was studying the War of 1812 and actually used the phrase "When we invaded Canada"!!!!! I LOVE THAT!!! I've met so many Americans who have been taught the War of 1812 started with the British invasion of the US, but that happened after the Yanks were kicked out of Canada. You guys got the White House (had to be whitewashed after it was burned, hence the new name), the flag and the Star Spangled Banner all from the War of 1812, but the Brits didn't start it. Seriously... this is HUGE for me. LOVE IT!!! ......

Wow.... most of these "what ifs" have been horrible, and many talking heads have acknowledged that. But this one is really good. Loved the mention of Tracy and the honesty... she might just be the "love of his life" but he's still working that through. Thanks for bringing that over, Hooked.

300 top soap couples? That would be close to ALL the popular soap couples, wouldn't it? These lists are funny. But at any rate two things come to the fore - YAY, #60. That's still a lot higher than some of the well-sung couples. And yay to the person who resisted the temptation so many fall into - LnL is NOT worthy of the top spot and for a change didn't get it. Now I'm not sure Bope is either, but they are the only remaining SuperCouple on the air as of 2010 and they have a story. I just saw on DD that the Brenda promos have even made it to Bravo. I really hope this doesn't bite ABC in the ass like "The Real Greenlee" did a few years ago.

Ethina is just a matter of time - we can all see that. But RIGHT NOW I want Tracy. When Luke gets back we'll have her for sure, but it would be nice before JE's vacation time. Really - she should be all over this BL/Lulu thing.

I'm totally torn. Mayan means TRACY. Ethina means ETHINA. My Ethina pees understand my conundrum.

Can you imagine??? Phenomenal grouping of women, that's for sure. No Tracy but some of what was expected Monday started today. If they are going to be doing Mayan, I expect to see Tracy next week. If they aren't doing Mayan, the Ethina peeps will be in second heaven. Either way I'm covered - but I want more Tracy, dammit!!!

Well so far the spoilers have been right on the money. Tracy hasn't started to hover yet, so we might actually see the follow-up tomorrow. As for Maya, I don't think Ethan is even thinking that way. Sure he'll help her and sleep with her, but that's pretty much all he seem interested in doing.

Diane and Spinelli...... I want them a Mama/cub too. First Scene: Ethan trying desperately to get out of a sponge bath and shave from Epiphany. Piph drags him back to bed and laughs that this is shaping up to be the best part of her day. Ethan fears there's no escape when in walks Mama asking if he's ready to go home. Second Scene: Tracy walks in an says Ethan looks like he's on the mend. Piph sneers "is that your medical opinion?" Tracy turns to Ethan and asks how he's feeling, to which he responds that he's much better. Good, Tracy says, because he's leaving. Piph going politically righteous on Tracy and asks why is it that people feel they can call the shots just because they donate big money to the hospital? Tracy laughs at her and says that the origin to the saying "Money Talks". Piph continues (even with a finger-wag at Tracy, if you can believe it) saying she doesn't care how much Tracy or the Qs donate, they don't set policy. Tracy is in "Smile Mode" a Piph doesn't seem to understand she's already lost. Tracy says it's not the army so unless she's trying to prep Ethan for surgery, she doesn't get to barber him against his will, "so get the damn paperwork because I'm taking him home." Ethan smiling at Mama the whole time. Trace rolls her eyes as Piph storms out. Ethan thanks her saying her timing couldn't be better. He thanks her for saving him, and Tracy says they'll see if he still wants to say that after he's had his fill of Edward and Monica. Ethan looks panicky and Tracy continues saying "you thought I was joking? I'm taking you home." Ethan says thanks but no thanks, he can take care of himself. Tracy disagrees. Ethan tries again saying he prefers his freedom. Tracy says "too bad" then wiggles her finger for him to follow. He knows he's lost, and follows Tracy out of the room.

Oh Hooked.... THAT would be hilarious!!! Tracy would TOTALLY do that. (Though I doubt my Ethina peeps would see the humour.)

I'm just stuck on the whole concept..... I love Tracy dearly but she's not exactly a nurturer.

Ethan truly is Luke's best advocate at this point, so having Ethan and Tracy in close proximity is more than just about Maya, it's also setting the groundwork for Luke's return in the fall. After today I'm pretty sure they won't drop their scenes. Who knows, Friday we might have Tracy deciding to go after Luke, or at least starting to think about it.

Tracy and Ethan have two scenes....<div><br><div>Lulu's been to visit.</div><div><br></div><div>Tracy comes in with a gift and a huge smile. &nbsp;Ethan thanks her for it (suit, pjs and a smoking jacket). &nbsp;Meanwhile she complains about how the Q's have put so much money into GH he should be more comfortable, and starts to abuse his pillow. &nbsp;When she stops Ethan says the gift looks a whole lot like what she gave Luke on his last birthday. &nbsp;She says she wouldn't know since all of Luke's things were thrown on the south lawn, but she'll have a look when she gets home. &nbsp;And she's taking him with her. &nbsp;Ethan protests but Trace dangles round the clock nursing at him. &nbsp;A blonde, burnette or redhead, he asks? &nbsp;Oh... since they would have to be in 8 hour shifts, can he have one of each? She reminds him that he was just shot in the neck by a madman, to which Ethan acknowledges it does sound dire when phrased like that. &nbsp;He's okay though - it's just a scratch and he's cut himself worse when he shaves.</div><div><br></div><div>Tracy sits on the bed beside him and continues to say she tried to call Luke but he's off the grid. &nbsp;Ethan reminds Tracy that this is just an elaborate game of Hide'n'Seek and Luke is waiting for her to chase him. &nbsp;Tracy says she gets it, she's supposed to close her eyes and count to 10 million - the amount he stole from her. &nbsp;Ethan chuckles and says "can't you see he just did that to get your attention?" &nbsp;Tracy looks more hurt than amused.</div><div><br></div><div>Next scene, Ethan suggests she call Luke again and tell him Ethan's been shot in the neck by a madman - leaving out his amazing recuperative powers. &nbsp;Tracy wonders to what end. &nbsp;To get them back together of course. &nbsp;He says it with the upmost love and respect - you two deserve each other. &nbsp;Tracy says she deserves better. &nbsp;Ethan asks about the money and Tracy says if Luke stays gone it will be money well spent. &nbsp;Ethan tells her she's conning a con here. &nbsp;He sees that she's hurt and Luke screwed up. &nbsp;That's an understatement, Tracy replies. &nbsp;Okay, Ethan agrees, but Luke loves her and she loves him. &nbsp;Tracy sighs and tells Ethan that love isn't a game - you can play it that way but then you loose out on any opportunity to having something real and THAT is what Luke did.</div> </div>

Happy Birthday, Hooked! GH certainly doesn't know what to do with it's Beloved Vets - all I can say is at least the next tier down that includes Robin, Jax and Alexis are getting action. It's still my opinion that they should have kept SD and gotten rid of LC - more story would have been available with Alan around the whole Robin thing I think. Oh well...
