Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
The A-Team was still a Top 10 show in 1984/85, finishing 6th. 1984/85 ABC Tuesday originally was 8 pm Foul-Ups, Bleeps, and Blunders, 8:30 pm Three's a Crowd, then 8 pm Three's a Crowd, 8:30 pm Who's the Boss. Three's a Crowd was one season and done. Who's the Boss did not finish in the Top 30. Foul-Ups, Bleeps, and Blunders filled space in the schedule during the season and in the summer it was done. 1985/86 Who's the Boss moved to Tuesday 8 pm where it took off and we know the rest.

That's the gold standard of hair tosses Did you find Andre/Dani love scene off the charts heat generating? I was totally down with the R&B slow jam in the background. Dead at Silk Press Sheila. Wow, what a ride the first week has been. I thought I was going to watch the first week only but I want to see how the rest plays out.

Looking back...Primetime Ratings from the 80's
ABC Tuesday rebounded 1985/86 with Who's the Boss taking off, new comedy Growing Pains being a hit, Moonlighting showing growth and had their comeback in 1986/87 with Growing Pains, Moonlighting, Who's the Boss all finishing in the Top 10. For whatever reason ABC could not find a successful Tuesday 10 pm show in those two seasons.

Falcon Crest
@DRW50 I don't know what the timeline was for CBS deciding to end things, but I have a feeling the final four episodes were refilmed to wrap up the storylines. At least there was a proper ending and not an open ending in anticipation of a 10th season.

This blogger does not seem to have a high opinion of the show. I Think, Therefore I Review.: Falcon Crest

IMO Morgan Fairchild has never really had a breakthrough/career-defining role.

1985/86 As the World Turns had tough competition from second half of All My Children, second half of supercouple Days, and first half of One Life to Live which had a comeback due to Andrea Evans return. Capitol was a placeholder/time filler until Bill Bell had a second show ready for CBS daytime. Kobe/Long was too much chasing 1980s trends.

@soapfan770 Of all the big 1980s family sitcoms, Family Ties embodied Reagan-era ideals the most so its quite telling that the final season was also the season Reagan left office.
