  1. The A-Team was still a Top 10 show in 1984/85, finishing 6th. 1984/85 ABC Tuesday originally was 8 pm Foul-Ups, Bleeps, and Blunders, 8:30 pm Three's a Crowd, then 8 pm Three's a Crowd, 8:30 pm Who's the Boss. Three's a Crowd was one season and done. Who's the Boss did not finish in the Top 30. Foul-Ups, Bleeps, and Blunders filled space in the schedule during the season and in the summer it was done. 1985/86 Who's the Boss moved to Tuesday 8 pm where it took off and we know the rest.
  2. James Houghton is the second original cast member of Knots Landing to pass away. Don Murray passed away last February.
  3. We saw in the 1980s and 1990s ratings threads that Y&R was so ahead of the pack from when they got to #1 in 1989 until the start of OJ, and I think the African-American audience played a big part of that.
  4. That's the gold standard of hair tosses Did you find Andre/Dani love scene off the charts heat generating? I was totally down with the R&B slow jam in the background. Dead at Silk Press Sheila. Wow, what a ride the first week has been. I thought I was going to watch the first week only but I want to see how the rest plays out.
  5. ABC Tuesday rebounded 1985/86 with Who's the Boss taking off, new comedy Growing Pains being a hit, Moonlighting showing growth and had their comeback in 1986/87 with Growing Pains, Moonlighting, Who's the Boss all finishing in the Top 10. For whatever reason ABC could not find a successful Tuesday 10 pm show in those two seasons.
  6. Corrected that for you It was too much chasing 1980s trends.
  7. You love hair tosses Dani got herself a new boo. That scene was giving me 1990s R&B video energy. Leslie got a plan and a plot, yes!
  8. Leslie better not come for mama Anita. Then again, Anita vs. Leslie could be an epic rivalry.
  9. OMG Leslie gonna be all type of scheming and I am here for it.
  10. I take it Nicole is the older sister. IRL Tamara Tunie is 65, Daphnee Duplaix is 48, and Karla Mosley is 43.
  11. Land and family legacy. Dead 🤣
  12. Marcus Jordan drug possession charges changed. Prosecutors tweak Marcus Jordan’s drug charge after powder tests as ketamine not cocaine
  13. @DRW50 I don't know what the timeline was for CBS deciding to end things, but I have a feeling the final four episodes were refilmed to wrap up the storylines. At least there was a proper ending and not an open ending in anticipation of a 10th season.
  14. This blogger does not seem to have a high opinion of the show. I Think, Therefore I Review.: Falcon Crest
  15. Watched the first episode. Good start. Anita is everything. How long will it be until Dani and Nicole fight over a guy?
  16. IMO Morgan Fairchild has never really had a breakthrough/career-defining role.
  17. Are you checking for CLB? He's looked way better ever since he ditched the hair dye.
  18. 1985/86 As the World Turns had tough competition from second half of All My Children, second half of supercouple Days, and first half of One Life to Live which had a comeback due to Andrea Evans return. Capitol was a placeholder/time filler until Bill Bell had a second show ready for CBS daytime. Kobe/Long was too much chasing 1980s trends.
  19. I'm all about mama Anita. Tamara Tunie is serving up messy matriarch/grande dame diva fierceness.
  20. @soapfan770 Of all the big 1980s family sitcoms, Family Ties embodied Reagan-era ideals the most so its quite telling that the final season was also the season Reagan left office.
