Coming out is a very individualized experience. I first did it 8 years ago when I told my mother and it was quite a relief that get that out. Last week I told several family members and announced it on social media which was something that I thought I would never do, but it worked out well because everyone was accepting. How I see it is if people don't accept your coming out and cut you off then that is a way of seeing the truth about them. If you really love and care about somebody you don't cut them off for being gay. Knowing who is truly in your corner in important and even hearing bad reactions is conducive to growth.
  2. This is Sharon doing "And I Am Telling You" in 2012.
  3. Not sure if this was ever posted, but I thought this was a nice magazine cover of Debbie and Darnell when they were on Loving.
  4. Cane Ashby on Y&R. After he was undone as Jill's son it was surprising that he even kept on.
  5. He currently holds the most Republican congressional district in Arizona so that's why he's still in Congress. Although redistricting has changed the map a lot and Gosar might be in some trouble in the future if he continues to go this far. The Native American reservations and liberal Flagstaff have been have been added to his district.
  6. From what I've read he's not very good anyway so this is hardly a loss.
  7. I think that Melissa Fumero was well cast as Dorian's daughter on OLTL, because she does somewhat favor a younger Robin Strasser.
  8. Profanity has to be used in moderation and not just to be edgy, especially when it comes to a format where it wasn't present before. That aside, I remember waking up first thing in the morning to watch the PP's AMC and OLTL while I had breakfast. It was a good time.
  9. B&B: Maya being transgender. Now this was probably less of a risk and more of a gimmick to put spotlight on the show, but no matter what it had no payoff long term.
  10. Life does imitate art because he looks as old as she does similar to some of Kate's children on DAYS (*cough* Lisa Rinna's Billie). But in all seriousness this is really good news for her and it is nice to see family reunited.
  11. It wasn't necessarily too risky, but Brooke and Deacon's affair on B&B was a bold story that had good payoff. Brooke had slept with other women's husbands, but to do that to her daughter was a new low. The way it was done was exactly how soap operas should be done.
  12. That whole picture with Romney and Sinema was weird. This is not a television program, it's real life and the fact that we have elected officials playing silly games like this is a testament to why this nation is so far behind the curve on just about every economic measure.

Meghan McCain has huge anger issues and also entitlement ones Nobody wants a co-worker like that. As much as she hates Trump she still tried to sneakily defend some of his behavior under the guise of her being a conservative. All that aside, I think that she quit because she knew that her contract would not be renewed.
  14. The 80s theme song to Another World was annoying and loud.
  15. The first actress to play Viki also originated Niki and that performance was said to be good. With that said, Niki was written more and more over the top over time. When Erika Slezak first played Niki in the 80s the writing and performances were more subtle.
  16. The vibe of the trailer seems to indicate that this might be for a Halloween episode.
  17. Can't think of anyone to add to the list, so I'll just say that it wasn't just that the soaps copied Alexis, they copied the money and power structures from the primetime soaps. Sure there were some characters with money on daytime soaps before the primetime trend hit, but most of the soaps were still middle class oriented.
  18. I meant Victor, because he can get fairly bitchy when it comes to Jack. But you have a point about how Sue Ellen treated Pam, I haven't seen Dallas in a long time and I had forgotten about that.
  19. Sue Ellen Ewing was a victim, it was JR who was the bitch. But that aside, some of my favorites are Lindsay Rappaport Dorian Lord Gabi Hernandez Stephanie Forrester Victor Newman
  20. They will have to increase the amount of uploads at some point because one episode a day is not enough for a soap opera with so many episodes. Fans like to relive their shows, but not in real time.
  21. Madison was in the house with Jeffrey and David when it exploded so he was a casualty too. I wasn't surprised he ended the show like this because he did the same thing with If Loving You Is Wrong except with fewer characters dying. Not even Tyler Perry would hire Crystal Hunt, lol. That would be a nightmare on set.
  22. Wow, incredible. It takes a real talented performer to pull off a scene like that.
  23. There definitely wouldn't have been a response if fans had not pointed out the mistake because the Emmys would not have ever realized the mistake. They probably just searched for Mamie on Y&R and selected the first picture they could find.
  24. Oh, ok, got it. Black shows have definitely not been a part of the reboot wave. House of Payne only got a reboot because Tyler Perry can shoot at his own studio and reduce the costs to BET. There are fewer black sitcoms on the air now than there were in the past four decades so a degree of bias does still exist.
  25. Sanford is probably the first example of a successful black sitcom getting a reboot, but that didn't last long at all and failed to get the attention that Sanford and Son did. Then there was What's Happening Now!! and one could say that What's Happening!! was moderately successful. With that said both of those revivals where in the 80s so there really has been no successful black sitcom that has received a reboot in recent times.
