None of her shady actions are that different than what Stephanie has done. Poppy is no more a predator than Rick or Ridge. Luna has been written into a corner, but the show clearly values her as it is finding ways to extend the character's shelf life while accommodating the actress filming other projects. A luxury given to Sheila but not to other psycho's like Morgan or Ally. IMO, the Nozawa's (especially Li) are the best new characters since Quinn & Wyatt. What's the alternative, not letting Black actors perform in juicy scenes? It would have been funny for Grace to slap and back and say "what do you have to be mad about, your life got better from all this."

Looks like healthy bumps to me, especially since its lead-out dropped.

Worked out for Kassie, but this could have been amazing if Sloan/Culliton wrote to her strengths. The pairing with Grant and rivalry with Vicky would have been a lot of fun. Of course, the show went in the exact opposite direction and Amanda just became Kelsey 2.

Paramount should pick up the SWAT spinoff with a condition that Sony lets BTG use the Drucilla character.

The administration hasn't ideologically changed in the 2 months or so since Paramount renewed BTG, The Chi, Yellow Jackets, Ghosts, probably 30 RuPaul spinoffs, and hopefully/likely Lioness will be announced soon. Being an endangered species for 15 years seemed to have kept the soaps on their toes compared to late night. Shortsighted that in 2015 CBS cut and pasted Colbert (who rose to fame via a bare-bones program) into the Letterman show like it was still 2004.

Ironheart isn't original IP, but I don't disagree that there is toxicity in Marvel/Disney's online discourse. If Paramount thought for a second that BTG would be a factor in the merger they would not have renewed it.

I would be, as I can't think of a single recent example of people protesting or putting pressure to cancel an original IP because the characters aren't white. Do you think Let's Make A Deal is on the chopping block too? Also, BTG has nothing to do with DEI. Nor does other successful daytime shows with primarily Black talent like First Take, Good Morning America, Family Feud, etc.

Bill Bell's execution of Jake's abuse storyline on Bold was tacky as hell. At almost every story beat, Bell had the actor strip down and be as scantily clad as possible. I'm surprised Jake didn't borrow Ridge's speedo to confront his parents. On any other show, the entire Vincent arc would be the definitive top answer for this thread, but it didn't feel that inappropriate for Passions.

I'll take your words for it, I haven't watched Stewart nor the Daily show since 07-08. I do think "both-sides," not picking on you Jane because as I said I don't watch Stewart, gets thrown around too much. If you don't call out both parties when warranted, you lose credibility with all but the most partisan. There's no doubt that Bill Maher has changed more minds than Cobert/Guttfeld/Oliver combined.

The late night hosts themselves have been saying that late night is going to retract for a good 5 years now. CBS already cancelled the 1230 slot that hasn't been political for years. It makes sense that CBS and its affiliates would rather air (I assume) a second 1/2 hour of local news at 1130. Cancelling the Daily Show, which has seen a big ratings increase, and is way more popular on digital, would raise WAY more flags IMO.

Bell didn't explore Kristen's relationship with anyone from her family, save for the first 6 months or so when Stephanie was jealous of her relationship with Eric. I suspect that because the actress performer was a rare one who had no chemistry with Susan Flannery, Bell dropped it and transferred those elements to Stephanie's obsession with Ridge. After that, the Forresters only paid attention to Kristen to advance a Clarke plot-point.
