  1. Taking it on the chin from Thomas & Steffy is 100% in character for Brooke. Her goal is to get Ridge, who has a major blindspot for Steffy & his degenerate son. Hence, she treats them with kid gloves. I didn't have a problem with Brooke quickly forgiving Ridge for calling Hope a bitch either because Brooke almost always puts her romantic goals above her children. However, I do have a problem with Katie & Hope not calling out Brooke for this. With Hope, I can suspend some disbelief as she may not want to rock the boat being newly back to work and otherwise occupied with her Liam drama. Katie has no such excuse. IMO, Katie has been the worst written character for a while now. Glaringly so in the past month. Every line she's spoke since advising Will to not tell Electra about his blackout night should have been delivered by Donna.
  2. I agree that this isn't a desperation move, but saying the purpose is for BTG to help B&B is a stretch. Not to say ideally they wouldn't help each other, but the goal is to use an established show to help a new show. BTG is relatively weaker vs the rest of the CBS shows in W25-54 vs W18-49 so using a character like Ridge who is likely popular in the upper part of that demo makes sense. I have no idea what the show's strategy is regarding selling the show abroad, but having a slide in the sales deck showcasing a guest appearance from a recognizable B&B character wouldn't hurt.
  3. MVJ: I have a great idea for a B&B cameo. CBS: Wonderful! What do you have in mind? MVJ: Media mogul Bill Spencer comes to DC to bribe--- CBS: How about Ridge gives someone dress
  4. Thanks, do you remember if she had chemistry with her adversary in that role? She definitely seemed like she could thrive in an ABC style show if she had the right role. I too assumed she was written out. The show had Brooke,Taylor, Macy who were popular in that age range. Plus the Karen experiment that didn't work out in the end. I couldn't see Bell prioritizing a woman who couldn't sleep with Ridge, Eric or Thorne during that era. Felicia was basically a straight up replacement for Kristen. The actress who played Kristen was incapable of upping her game opposite Susan Flannery, so I doubt the Kristen/Felicia relationship would have had any juice. Kristen/Clarke/Mick was easily the worst storyline to that point - taking the dubious honor from the Kristen/Clarke/Margo triangle. It would have been insanity to put those 2 in a 3rd triangle. I'm glad they put Clarke into Sally's orbit - not only did it make his character more interesting, but more importantly it gave Darlene Connolly great material.
  5. Weirdly, I inquired about her a few weeks ago in the B&B classic thread. Did she leave B&B voluntarily? I thought she was great as Felicia until they asked her to play confrontation scenes opposite Bobbie Eakes (as rivals in a love triangle) and all those scenes fell flat.
  6. According to Mobile Syrup (https://mobilesyrup.com/2025/08/29/new-on-paramount-plus-canada-september-2025/ ) BTG is being added to Paramount Plus Canada on September 26. So either: 1) The Bell Media deal is non-exclusive 2) This was planned before the Bell Media deal and they won't end up adding it For Americans: Paramount has a number of non-exclusive deals with other streamers/broadcasters. Some CBS shows are on both PP Canada and other streamers like Crave or StackTV. However, neither B&B nor Y&R are on PP Canada.
  7. No, Bold is on regular CTV. The American analogy would be CTV=CBS, CTV Drama=Paramount Network.
  8. It's not going to be on CTV after Bold, it'll air on a cable channel they own as @janea4old pointed out. CTV airs a cheap Canadian View knockoff after B&B that they'd be loath to get rid of because of CanCon rules (the networks have to air a certain % of Canadian shows per week). The most likely way it played out was CH gave notice it wasn't picking up its option, then CBS offered better terms to Bell (CTV/Crave, etc. owners) than they offered last year.
  9. This seems like an upgrade or neutral at worst, even if they just air the first 6 months for now. Crave is owned by CTV, Canada's biggest network, so there's a chance that at some point it can air after B&B on the main network. The CTV2 network of stations is another possibility. CHCH at this point is only relevant for its local news in the Hamilton/Niagara Falls area. Outside of that, it's biggest primetime shows are 20/20 and America's Funniest Videos. The most current shows in its daytime lineup are Matlock & Coach. Off topic - the Crave release Errol linked to it stated that all episodes of 90210 are coming in September. Did they finally clear the music rights? I saw complaints that when it was on streaming before that full episodes were missing, including the finale.
  10. Is GH's week over week 63% gain in W18-49 a record? Not counting asterisk's (pre-emptions, Olympics, etc) of course.
  11. Katie telling Will to keep his drunken haze a secret was so out of character. It's not like he didn't have another parent (Bill), relative (Brooke, Donna) or co-worker (Ridge, Daphne) who could have given him that advice. Even Sheila gave better advice to Luna. I hope the catalyst for Hope sleeping with Liam is Carter telling her that the guy who has been badmouthing/saying she's a bitch for the past year was chosen as his best man. Why not go all in and ask Grace's ex-husband to be a groomsman too.
  12. Given how prolific the trio is, it's surprising that this is the first of the Carlys to do Y&R.
  13. Excellent point. Bizarre that a 6 month old soap has series low in W18-49....yet still beats the top soap in that demo on 2 days in that same week. Last week could be rough for CBS too due to the Monday pre-emptions and the Atlanta affiliate switchover. It could be outdated information, but BITD CBSD was apparently strongest in the South (with ABCD strong in the East and Chicago), so I'd guess that Atlanta is likely its strongest of the top 10 biggest markets.
  14. Gotta say, 1991 is an absolute banger. Easily the best of the first 5. Not only is it pretty balanced, but characters' airtime seems directly correlated with how interesting they are (Brooke/Stephanie on top, Thorne at the bottom). One quibble is Felicia during the Jake/Macy pairing. I really enjoyed the actress/character before that, but my god she is awful in her confrontation scenes with Macy. Is this a Colleen Dion thing, or did she just not have chemistry with Bobbie Eakes? The only other show I've seen her in was AW and I don't remember her in any triangles save for a scene or two of playful banter with Vicky when she was casually dating Ryan.
  15. I guess they already packed the surgery scar makeup for the new studio before they filmed this episode. Will saw the text from Elecktra - is he going to think he had sex with the co-worker who was flirting with him at the party?
  16. Until the bottom line I thought you were referring to masked Will.
  17. Move this to the spoiler thread! Spencer Publications hired someone with actual qualifications???
  18. LMAO, Bell bending over backwards to keep the longest running (only?) Asian family ever on soaps is proof he hates POC? Li is many things, an indifferent mother is not one of them. None of her shady actions are that different than what Stephanie has done. Poppy is no more a predator than Rick or Ridge. Luna has been written into a corner, but the show clearly values her as it is finding ways to extend the character's shelf life while accommodating the actress filming other projects. A luxury given to Sheila but not to other psycho's like Morgan or Ally. IMO, the Nozawa's (especially Li) are the best new characters since Quinn & Wyatt. What's the alternative, not letting Black actors perform in juicy scenes? It would have been funny for Grace to slap and back and say "what do you have to be mad about, your life got better from all this."
  19. Looks like healthy bumps to me, especially since its lead-out dropped.
  20. Singing on soaps? Ratings poison
  21. Phone rings Ridge: Doc I've missed you. How's your week been? Taylor: Wonderful! I've spent it telling every woman that Nick's banged that he'll always be true to Brooke. Gotta go, Bridget's here!
  22. Li nursing her homicidal granddaughter/niece back to health I buy, but Donna & Taylor eating those huge pastries was too unbelievable. The Italy remote looked great.
