  1. Have made a few more myself lol
  2. Have we mentioned any of the primetime soap rewrites yet? Obviously Dallas’ dream takes the cake alongside the indecisiveness over the Wes Parmalee character. I also didn’t get the Richard/Angela twist on Falcon Crest either.
  3. Also one more bad rewrite (I know we discussed this in-depth a long time ago @DRW50) was on GL when it was revealed that Rick wasn’t Kevin’s father after all. Absolutely nothing was gained from the rewrite and nothing was lost, except the jobs of the writing crew for this debacle.
  4. Haha Great minds think alike! The Jordan story was so strange, I don’t recall Jordan was supposed to be Barbara’s son but I do remember him being introduced as new love interest for Jennifer while also being very interested in Barbara. Idk whatever Sheffer was trying to do hit the fan once he came up with the forced pairing of Jordan and Rosanna immediately after Jordan was revealed to be James’ son what a freaking mess. And I mentioned 66 years because of the Reverend Rutledge mentions in the said episodes alongside with Brandon Spaulding. A major WTF indeed occurred on January 5 2004 and don’t ask me why I remember that date.
  5. That had actually crossed my mind as my first choice; however considering the utter preposterous other retcon stories also had my attention, namely stuff like the backstory of Carly, Gwen, Iris, and I think his name was Cole…?? Or Dusty and Holden fighting over Molly in addition to Lily, Emily and Larry’s lost embryo, and Paul Ryan’s brain microchip that the existence of David Steinbeck became a lot more plausible than everything else.
  6. Ridge as Massimo’s son on B&Band Craig as gay on Days are great choices. Same with the Tale of Two Romans Of course Y&R has also suffered through so many bad retcons, the worst of the bunch being “Jill is Katherine’s daughter” “Phillip III back from the dead now’s he’s gay” (literally the Soaps in Depth headline), whatever Kansas retcon nonsense Josh Griffith wrote back in 2020, and now here we are with Cane and Matt Clark back 2025. Honestly Josh Griffith can go [!@#$%^&*] himself lol. Worst re-write on GL definitely had to be the Maryanne Carruthers mystery, which upended 66 years of history on the show if I recall right. Hmmm worst rewrite on ATWT…? Shannon being undead and not having a shrunken head for one, also later on Tom and Margo being totally aware of Adam Munson’s misdeeds with no explanation when Adam returned in 2009z
  7. Haha thanks I had seen this posted in the Retro TV Listings group. I know I’ve seen this episode before and thought it was relevant with Lockhart’s recent passing. Interestingly enough the episode’s killer had their own career resuscitated just like a month or so before by starring a very successful comedy horror flick I still personally love to this day.
  8. Hahaha funny I wrote this before that said spoiler. Obviously a character like that has no place for longevity on Y&R so its basically stunt casting for a short term arc is my guess as we saw with both the Jordan and Jeremy Stark stories.
  9. Great assessment! Don’t forget that JG then transcribes all of the above through some knock off version of Chat GPT.
  10. Le sigh, Just another nightmare I mean day of Y&R in 2025 it seems.
  11. @YRfan23 Does this mean our Christmas classics this year will be of Matt raping Sharon in 1994 and then of Matt & Sharon at the cabin in 2001? Nothing like Josh Griffith giving us “Holiday cheer” 🤣
  12. This show is a bigger mess is basically now the MAB era all over again. Can I assume that Sienna is really Tricia? And yes Tricia and Matt going over the cliff followed by Matt’s suicide was iconic. Josh Griffith [!@#$%^&*] blows lol
  13. LOL. I bunch of my friends and family were doing all those 80s/90s horror theme AI images on Facebook so I figured hey why not an 80’s soap night 🤣
  14. And finally, @kalbir @DRW50 @Soapsuds @Khan a pictures of me on a Friday night in 1986 (they both came out a bit much LOL)
  15. Lord here are a few of mine I made. Mind you I think using Paint 20+ years ago for the old fan logos I made was much easier time than this lol
  16. Rare ad featuring Wyman advertising the 1985-86 season finale (Earthquake) which aired on a Thursday night in Knots usual timeslot.
  17. Bob or no Bob, K&A was definitely blown out of the water by it’s time slot competition Alf being a Top 10 hit for its sophomore season. Plus didn’t Kate’s daughter leave earlier in the season? Been a while since I watched whole series. Obviously the strike affected the most troubled shows the worst, which most notably included putting Moonlighting out its misery. Another issue was a number of shows saw a number time slot changes that resulted in tank jobs. I would say on the flip side, Knots definitely benefited from LA Law’s abruptly shortened season as well KL holding its own that season. And of course Roseanne was a hit.
  18. As bleak of shape as the show is now it weird to think that was a time when it was even worse lol. I definitely didn’t feel anything either. Am I suppose to care about the Bacalls? I mean I like TB as an actress, but I’m already feeling that they will be gone faster than you can say Ashland and Tara Locke lol.
  19. Maybe Steve Shaw before he passed? Idk. Patrick Peterson was too generic. My preteen gay self might have a minor crush on Thomas Wilson Brown in Honey I Shrunk the Kids, but his role and appearance as Jason is so completely different from the movie that I wonder why I ever found him cute lol.
  20. Obviously someone at Lorimar must have enjoyed that type of James Bond style storylines as Knots continued to employ them later with stuff like Ben/Jean, the mysterious Okmin Industries, and the Nigel Treadwell story that closed out the show. Obviously Falcon Crest suffered through this too between the Cartel, Neo-Nazi’s, and The Thirteen instead something more realistic like a powerful rival vineyardist threatening to take over or destroy FC lol. Obviously the already shady oil business was probably more suitable for this James Bond stuff to occur on Dallas and/or Dynasty. As for the Sumner Group it was never quite clear what else they had going on aside from some shady/dodgey real estate and land business.
  21. My gosh I was actually thinking about that too and how that really got the show revitalized during her run. I know a lot of people on this complained a lot about Sussman’s writing, in retrospect would they have complained as loudly knowing we’d eventually be suffering with Josh Griffith for over 6 years now?
  22. Kyle meeting Sienna in what looks like an empty knock-off Hard Rock Cafe set is just as ridiculous!!
