  1. As always, thank you @DRW50!!! LMAO Taco’s awful “Puttin' On the Ritz” sounds completely out of place on ATWT.
  2. Haha knowing Ron C. we’d discover the person wearing the Hope mask turns out to be either Dayzee or Gabriela Moreno. Meanwhile the Bridge reunion is threatened by a newly returned Dave Reed who is working in secret with Morgan DeWitt to get Ridge back. 😂😂🙈🙈
  3. Thudley hiring Ron Carlivati as a Co-HW would be the biggest train wreck in daytime history. 😂😂😂
  4. It’s been a couple of years since B&B told a WTD story, so it’s problem time for Thudley to make up for lost time by giving us a 2 for 1 by having both Hope and Steffy get pregnant at the time and unsure who the father is. 😂
  5. That Liam & Steffy kiss was gross and disgusting 🤢🤢🤢🤮🤮🤮 That key hole freeze frame of Bridge was over the top camp.
  6. It’s been annoying that for at least the last 15 years of B&B fashion shows or so that the “show stopper” is always a character that is not a model lol…remember Donna on the surf board or Quinn’s jewelry or whatever? Lol so Hope modeling her own designs seems so cheap 🤣🤣 Embarassing yes, stupid yes about these Rome shoots instead of an actual runway show, but still somehow not as bad as that hot mess of a fashion show centered around the pointless Zoe/Xander/Emma a few years back.
  7. It’s always been interesting to me that when it comes to daytime spin-offs just failed out right miserably. Somerset had modest success but petered out, Texas flopped out of the gate, The City was DOA, and Port Charles was just there filling a time slot with low ratings and many affiliates airing overnight. Seems to me “sister soaps” i.e. Y&R & B&B or AMC & OLTL were more compatible. AW tried this with Lovers & Friends/For Richer For Poorer but the timeslots were bad choices, compounded by bad writing.
  8. Knowing Thudley this will be one or two scenes and the two never interact again on screen, kind of like Thomas and Sasha years ago or more recently Thomas & Paris lol.
  9. Dead cat, Faith with a bomb strapped to her, Connor inheriting his mother’s depression and now a dead baby….someone want to go check in on Josh Griffith to make sure he’s okay before someone gets raped in the Abbott living room?
  10. Wow, Berlanti’s TV empire is pretty much gone except for these two shows.
  11. 🤣 Don’t make me laugh. I figured it’s only a matter of time before Sajak ends up in the loony bin with his predecessor Chuck Woolery. As far “beloved” hosts go I mean I haven’t cared for Sajak in years and even then he could be crass/tasteless and well sexist. And of course Bob Barker was a very nasty individual who would’ve been deservedly unceremoniously dumped had #metoo happened during his era.
  12. Hope’s face lol was the highlight for me:
  13. Lol I haven’t watched since Bo & Hope were on has the show disintegrated even further? Major yikes!
  14. Indeed. At the time so called “industry experts” were surprised Fox made such a move at the start of the season but it’s pretty obvious Fox was the shark that saw blood in the water. The momentum didn’t last though as Tisch’s CBS made some strange oddball moves. More on that later.
  15. Now now don’t be too harsh as that scene did lead to Barbara becoming the official spokesperson for Tyson’s Chicken that year 🤣🤣🤣 While I appreciate the show trying to give Emma romances, I never much paid attention to them as while I liked Emma as good “talk to” supporting motherly & aunty character, she just lacked the fiery spark other working class matriarchs like AW’s Ada, GL’s Bea, and Y&R’s Liz and Mary had. Emma was too mousy.
  16. Fox knew exactly what they were doing by counter programming The Simpsons against Cosby. NBC made a mistake by keeping The Golden Girls separate from spinoffs Empty Nest & Nurses instead of at least building a block for for the three shows while multiple shows failed between that. Not to mention Marc Cherry era of the Golden Girls completely changed the tone of the show.
  17. A year after Dallas’ end, CBS celebrated a brief resurgence: For the first time in television history, a network has gone from third place to first in a single season. CBS dethroned longtime ratings champion NBC by winning the 1991-92 season by a relatively substantial margin. CBS averaged a 13.8 rating and a 22 share, 12 percent ahead of NBC (12.3/20), 13 percent in front of ABC (12.2/20) and 66 percent in front of Fox (8.0/13).(Fox was the other big winner, however. Those numbers represent a 25 percent increase in ratings and an 18 percent increase in shares over last season.) The Big Eye also claimed five of the top 10 shows and eight of the top 15, including No. 1 "60 Minutes." It was CBS's first season win since the 1984-85 season. The network won 22 of 30 weeks during the regular season, including last week when the NCAA tournament title game was the most-watched show. Even better than ranking No. 1 was the fact that CBS increased its audience by 12 percent over last season, while NBC fell 3 percent and ABC 2 percent. "This was the greatest season-to-season percent rating increase of any network since ABC's 14 percent during the 1976-77 season," said David Poltrack, CBS's senior vice president of planning and research. Much has been made of the boost that CBS got this season from the World Series, the Super Bowl, the Winter Olympics and the NCAA basketball tournament. And while those highly rated sports events made the gap wider, CBS would have finished first without them. Among regular series, CBS averaged a 13.3 rating, NBC a 12.1 and ABC an 11.7. And while CBS has long been derided because its audience "skews old" - it tends to attract older viewers, the network finished first among women 18-49, women 25-54, men 18-49 and men 25-54. NBC, which had won the 30-week regular season for six straight seasons, was particularly classless in defeat. Instead of congratulating CBS on its victory, in an official statement, NBC announced that it "would no longer recognize mid-April as the end of the television season. (Funny, it hasn't seemed to bother them the past six seasons. Talk about a corporate cry-baby.) NBC will declare a winner in the middle of September, after a 52-week TV season. But it isn't going to help - CBS will still come out the winner. THE TOP 20: 1. "60 Minutes," CBS; 2. "Roseanne," ABC; 3. "Murphy Brown," CBS; 4. "Cheers," NBC; 5. "Home Improvement," ABC; 6. "Designing Women," CBS; 7. "Coach," ABC; 8. "Full House," ABC; 9. "Murder, She Wrote," CBS; 10. "Major Dad," CBS; 11. "Monday Night Football," ABC; 12. "Unsolved Mysteries," NBC; 13. "CBS Sunday Night Movie"; 14. "Evening Shade," CBS; 15. "Northern Exposure," CBS; 16. "A Different World," NBC; 17. "The Cosby Show," NBC; 18. "Wings," NBC; 19. "20/20," ABC; 20. "America's Funniest Home Videos," ABC.
  18. Thanks for sharing @DRW50! I was wondering about the rest of Iva’s biological family, it seems they only popped up for this story before going back into the woodwork. I find Elizabeth/Liz to be interesting I wonder why the show didn’t do more with her. Lenore and the kids if I recall right would still occasionally appear through 1990 before disappearing until their brief 1995 reappearance. I too was surprised about how well Paul handled the homophobia and defending Andy as well. It’s a realistic and well written scene as brief as it was. As for Earl Mitchell, eh this whole thing just ends on a whimper in comparison to the rest of the Stenbeck story and I recall one poster years ago commenting Earl was “just another dead husband” for Lisa to deal with.
  19. The biggest major element missing in this story is missing a return from Grace and focusing on Faith instead of Mariah…I imagine if Cassie was still alive today and Cameron had returned, she’d want some type of vengeance.
  20. I still adore Alison Lanier, but the whiplash 180 degree turn for Summer is absolutely jarring (and needless/pointless) to see. Complete character destruction and regression in a month’s time. I wouldn’t be surprised if Josh Griffith sabotaged his own work out of spite because Summer was getting positive attention compared to his own lackluster pets on the show.
  21. Yes it was, although Larry did come back for Cassie’s death and stayed for a little bit by helping Sharon grieve as well as give her a motorcycle ride.
  22. Haha no doubt Moses was sexy and he was the good boy contrast to bad boy Lance. Actually one of my favorite Season 2 stories was when Cole was living with Joanna Cassidy’s character I wish the show had been willing to flesh out that story more. The whole Melissa/Cole/Robin story that ran for 2 seasons was pretty disgusting and I can see why Moses quit because of it even though he was clearly willing to come back if the show could at least give Cole an interesting story. Instead we got Dan Fixx. I actually was going to mention that as at the time Moses seemed so much older that Courtney Thorne Smith at the time lol. Keith Gray was really MP’s first dark and memorable villain especially at a time the show was transitioning into a full blown soap with Amanda’s arrival and Michael divorcing Jane to be with Kimberly. It was a sign of the times though. My teen self was shocked by that final season of Dallas with the Hagman/Eden reunion be a nasty affair while innocent 80’s geek Anthony Michael Hall had a turn as the nasty bully villain in Edward Scissorhands.
  23. Had ChatGPT write an episode of ATWT it wrote Lucinda’s death? 😭😭 FADE IN: INT. OAKDALE MEMORIAL HOSPITAL - DAY We see a close-up of a heart monitor beeping steadily. The camera pans out to reveal a hospital room where we see LUCINDA WALSH lying in a hospital bed, hooked up to various machines. Her daughter, LILY SNYDER, is sitting by her side, holding her hand. LILY: (tearfully) Mom, please wake up. I need you. Suddenly, Lucinda's eyes flutter open. LUCINDA: (weakly) Lily...is that you? LILY: (relieved) Yes, Mom. I'm here. LUCINDA: (struggling to speak) Lily, I need to tell you something...something important. LILY: (leaning in) What is it, Mom? LUCINDA: (pausing for a moment) I've been keeping a secret from you...for years. LILY: (concerned) What kind of secret, Mom? LUCINDA: (taking a deep breath) Lily, you have a sister. LILY: (shocked) What? A sister? How is that possible? LUCINDA: (weakly) When I was young, I had a brief affair with a man named... (pauses) ...James Stenbeck. LILY: (gasping) James Stenbeck? The man who terrorized our family for years? LUCINDA: (nodding) Yes. I didn't know who he was at the time. We had a daughter together, but I gave her up for adoption. I never told anyone, not even your father. LILY: (processing the information) Why are you telling me now, Mom? LUCINDA: (crying) Because I don't want to die with this secret. I want you to find your sister and bring her into our family. LILY: (nodding) I will, Mom. I promise. Suddenly, Lucinda's heart monitor starts beeping rapidly. LILY: (panicking) Mom! Mom, what's happening? NURSE: (rushing in) You need to leave the room, Miss Snyder. We need to work on your mother. LILY: (tearfully) Please save her. Please. The nurse ushers Lily out. FADE OUT
