  1. The real shame about RJ is there is literally no one else in his orbit for hime to connect to. The show could really be focusing on RJ and his growing feud with cousin Dino over designs, the future of Forrester, and vying for the love of Zach Hamilton Jr, Taylor’s gay nephew while the sassy Clarke Garrison III threatens Forrester. 😁
  2. Well put! There’s a part of the post Marland era of ATWT 1993-95 that will always hold a special place in my heart but at the same time the show was in a transitional flux until Culliton come on in 1995. I didn’t think 1993 was a bad year overall, though the lowlights were Aaron’s custody, Lila and Iva’s exit stories, and of course the show getting bogged down in Hutch/Rosanna/Woody/Linc/Debbie Simon mess. At the time I was happy Martha was back and enjoyed Lily with Damien. To me I feel Lily had already regressed back in ‘92 and Heather was just underwhelming with the material compared to the 1990-91 material where she excelled at. Idk, at the time I never cared for Heather but watching in retrospect I’ve grown much fonder of her. I wish Janice had stuck around for years to stir Oakdale’s pot. I didn’t mind KMH’s Emily with Royce and I liked her time with Jeff. Once Emily got into bed with Diego, it was all downhill from there for the next 14 years.
  3. Hope and Thomas should be fun, but after all that crap that’s happened over the last four years all I am getting is Adam and Sharon vibes from 2010-2011; which is not a good thing. Still Liam is so unlikeable. Wyatt is so unnecessary…I mean not long ago I heard he mentioned he was single which means he’s no longer with Felony Flo I presume lol. Did anyone catch that too? And yes this RJ is terrible and pointless compared to the 2016-2018 RJ, who actually had a life and a purpose.
  4. Blame a couple inaccurate soap books back in the the 1980’s. In the cases of GL hitting #1 in 1984 and ATWT having 20 million viewers I know SOD republished those “factoids” a number of times in the late 90s and early 2000’s hence perpetuating the myths as facts for years.
  5. Thanks @JAS0N47 for all your hard work!! For years I had always wished Y&R, B&B, and ATWT would get websites like the same love & treatment that Jason’s Days page, Another World Home Page, and Guiding Light Timeline Page page would get. Thankfully we have this forum still 😊
  6. The Deacon/Sheila scenes were literally the best thing on this show in like months 😂
  7. My bad someone incorrectly called it 40th but she first aired on OLTL on 7/2/1978 which would be 45th; her first appearance as Patty on Y&R was July 1983, which of course would be 40 years. I really wonder if Evan’s would’ve been a bigger daytime icon if the whole stalker ordeal hadn’t derailed her career in the 90’s. That was very a unfortunate tale.
  8. Wow!! A couple Facebook groups I’m in just celebrated the 40th anniversary of Her first appearance on OLTL the other day, this is devastating to here. Another daytime icon gone ☹️☹️☹️
  9. @Vee The Shanelle Workman analysis is interesting to me because when B&B hired her both Thudley and CBS were pimping her out in excess as they did with all the other “poached” ABC actors that the CBS soaps picked up during 2003-2005 era. B&B spent months revolving around Workman’s Gabriela character and it was DREADFUL. Thudley was going to have Workman’s character turn evil and come back with a scarred face to torment Taylor for getting her deported, but thankfully nixed the idea.
  10. Could have been any number of Noah’s failed love interests i.e. Hunter, an Adrianna recast, Zoe the NYC girl etc. Or the ex of Ignacio Serricchio’s Alex Chavez character.
  11. Haha yes I am all here for Summer vs. Audra, knowing full well both AL and ZS can really bring it on. And I agree this is so much better than either anything with Lola or that slapped together mess of a rivalry with Sally. I think Chance/Summer could work but also uncertain. At least AL Summer stomp over MO Abby would be fun to watch.
  12. Thanks I figured as much. Apparently it started out as a Instagram user asking EH why she isn’t on the show much, and her answer gave way the remaining Soap Press to create clickbait articles.
  13. Thanks always @YRfan23! I had read recently that Hendrickson was taken off of contract but I don’t think I knew EH was even on contract in the first place. Strange. There’s literally no storyline for them lol. JG backed off Billy and Chelsea and just left them as friends who gossip while Abby is just there to remind everyone she exists lol. The show doesn’t need Stafford’s Phyllis either, I’d just leave her off the show for a good year on the run before bringing the character back to be reset.
  14. Haha as bad as they were the original teen pregnancy story involving the girl from Honey I Shrunk the Kids, with one time daytime diva Lynn Benesch as her mother while the dead guy from Touched by an Angel John Dye as baby daddy were hugging on screen and being sappy as could b with each other as Danny & Lauren sang together did lead us to Molly’s best friend Nina as a very, very chilling follow-up story.
  15. Yeah and at least during the late 80’s it would end with some benefit concert involving Danny. Yikes. On the other hand, a lot of the nasty common folks Y&R characters encountered were the Karens of their time. Mary Williams and her church’s women circle, Jessica Blair’s naysayers, Derek Stuart’s mother, the unpatriotic man Victor berated, Nina’s haters, Gloria Capshaw at April’s trial, and of course Jill & Katherine themselves.
  16. Finally caught Monday’s episode and while I’m glad to laid down the law with Liam and moped him on the floor, a slap would’ve been the icing on the cake lol. And lol I’ve never forgotten about that trashy tawdry marriage of convenience between Liam and Ivy, which never made any sense because Ivy technically was a US citizen to begin with. Obviously Thudley failed government class 🤣🤣🤣🤣 Really the show needs a Who Killed Liam? mystery with Liam being mysteriously killed. Hope and Steffy accuse each other, Finn gets mysteriously very angry at the mere mention of Liam, Bill oddly tells Wyatt he’s the only son who’s ever mattered, and Thomas is a prime suspect he is shocked when Vinny resurfaces alive and well, making Thomas wonder if Vinny did out of love . In the end the killer is revealed to be Ivy herself who never got over or forgave Liam. Everyone else is shocked but pleasantly relieved that Liam will not be an interloper in their lives anymore. 😁🤣
  17. Y&R’s PSA’s were always awkward and embarrassing compared to anything on ATWT, GL or the ABC soaps but Bell always liked telling them as he felt it was important. The last really distinctive one I remember was back in 2003 when a couple of Arab/Middle Eastern executives of Newman Enterprises who came to visit their boss Victor came to visit Genoa City on Fourth of July briefly discussed the possibility the post 9/11 resentment hysteria of anti-Muslim sentiment in the US with Victor, Jack, and Neil. Yet somehow all Neil could muster up and say was “Ya I feel ya man”. Major yikes.
  18. It’s amazing how well the 1992 episode holds up 31 years later and how well everything was nicely tied together even at the time and was a nice glimpse into everything. Olivia was pregnant with Nate but dealing with cancer/anemia at the same time. It’s nice to see the Barber sisters and their men are accepted as an extension of the Abbott family via Mamie and not completely isolated. Traci & Brad’s marriage unraveling. As for Brad and his speedo, lol anything to show off Diamond’s body lol. Ryan’s unspoken nervousness to Nina about who all was going to be at the Abbott picnic as a classic dramatic score played…obviously he was worried about seeing Victoria. Jack and Victor being MIA from the event despite John’s invitations, both obviously coming off the heels of Victor’s heart attack. Meanwhile a lonely Ashley looks longing at young Chance while envious of Colleen. It’s good to see Carol in this too although her time was winding down by this point. I do wonder why the show hasn’t acknowledged Beau Kazer’s passing at all either? Seems like something easy that could be done with Jill, Esther, and Kelly Kruger Mac while Tucker, Devon and Chance lament the fact they didn’t spend enough time with Brock as they should have.
  19. I liked Randy as Nathan, I don’t know why he left Y&R or they never put him on contract. Unfortunately his next soap AW completely wasted him.
  20. Jill really went through a lot of men in 1992 didn’t she lol? She started out still in that Rex/Jill/John/Leanna quad, was with Blade by summer, was with Victor by fall, and was married to John finally by winter.
  21. 😍🥰 @YRfan23 I wasn’t entirely sure I hadn’t seen this before but once there was the scene of Dru proposing to Neil going to Crystal Lake, I remember us having a good laugh about that (Friday the 13th movies lol) when this was shared here several years ago. (Which Btw there is a real Crystal Lake that’s close to the real Genoa City Wi.)
  22. Yes, that was the Inside the Light that GL did 2006-2007. GL ran those episodes every Wednesday. If I recall right they chose that day because Wednesdays were typically the lowest rated episodes of the week. Originally dedicated to character spotlights, there was some fun ones like the Mothers Day special that brought back Nadine, Jenna, and Sarah Shayne as ghosts. However some of them were crammed filled with stories/events that should have been expanded out more, like Ross’ death & funeral and Springfield Burns. The majority of them were typically boring, often were weird, and not entertaining in anyway at all as much as they show tried. Unfortunately with the advent of the Peapack era it seemed everyday became a Wednesday.
  23. It would be nice if the show actually told something NEW for once: Hope risks everything to get Thomas on the line after those initial lukewarm reviews but then it outright flips with his return? Deacon & Taylor get close? Ridge reconnects with model Alex Simpson of all people while away? Wyatt dies?
  24. What is this, every Friday will now end with a Liam & Steffy kiss??!? Steffy really needs to slap Liam.
  25. Is this the episode where Victor schools an unpatriotic man in the importance of 4th of July while having dinner with Ashley at Gina’s? And yes haha Thudley hates classics unless it’s an Lame wedding or something 😂
