  1. Nevertheless, I would stop using most of the current recurring cast members (minus the exceptions that I listed upthread). In many cases, there wouldn't even be an official explanation. They'd just stop appearing.
  2. I'm not averse to the idea of Robin dying (off-screen) and (recast) Patrick returning with a now-teenaged Emma. I'll always adore KMc, but it's clear she's not coming back (at least, not permanently); and if the only way to get grown up Emma back on the canvas is to bring at least one parent back with her, then.... *shrug
  3. Patrick Mulcahey has quit GH, so I don't have to be nice anymore: Ron Carlivati's writing sucks donkey balls. And when it comes to having class, his WGA Awards speech from many moons ago proves he ain't got none.
  4. And call Joss for what she is: a selfish, scheming bitch, who wouldn't think twice about stealing your man.
  5. "Sunday nights just got a whole lot hotter!" I don't care how many times I've expressed this opinion, it's the truth: you don't bring a silver fox like Gregory Harrison onto your show, saddle him with a nothing character and then, when you lose interest, just give him a terminal illness that drags on forever and ends in a whimper.
  6. At the very least, if Joss is going to remain on the canvas, with or without Michael, I definitely need a recast for her.
  7. The thing is, Michael is also a Quartermaine, and I really want to beef up that clan somehow. But I'm not exactly disagreeing with what you're saying here. That's cold, man. At least let him change his underwear before shoving his ass out the door.
  8. Now that PM has left the building, I'd say chances are better than good that Drew and Nina will revert to what they were before: a wannabe game show host and the town's punching bag, respectively. I feel compelled to keep Michael on canvas, if only b/c I think Carly needs at least one of her kids to be still in town. (I'd send Joss to Australia to be with Jax, who has taken ill; and then have Dex join her later when he realizes how much he misses her). But I'm not opposed to a recast! With Spencer (presumed) dead, I don't see much use anymore for Trina, unless this show comes up with another, equally dynamic love interest for her (presumably, someone who works at the hospital). And Kristina...? Well, she can just leave, along with T.J. and Molly, after she miscarries that baby. I'll even let her leave town to reconcile with Blaze, who has kicked Natalia to the curb, lol. You wanna cut Gio/Giovanni already? The bastard ain't even had time to unpack, lol!
  9. I'm not so sure about that, lol. But the wedding would have been a perfect occasion for a literal bloodbath, courtesy of our friends at the Pikeman Group. Instead, the only death we got was Gonzo's, and even that turned out to be underwhelming.
  10. No one asked for this, but... KHAN'S GH "CUT LIST" Tabyana Ali (Trina) Tajh Bellow (T.J.) Michael Easton (Finn) Robert Gossett (Marshall) Tanisha Harper (Jordan) Adam J. Harrington (Wagger) Evan Hofer (Dex) Josh Kelly (Cody) Katelyn MacMullen (Willow) Kate Mansi (Kristina) Cameron Mathison (Drew) Sofia Mattsson (Sasha) Eden McCoy (Joss) Kelly Monaco (Sam) Amanda Setton (Brook Lynn) Kirsten Storms (Maxie)* Josh Swickard (Chase) Donnell Turner (Curtis) Cynthia Watros (Nina) Maura West (Ava) ...and pretty much everyone on the recurring/off-contract roster, with the possible exceptions of: Lynn Herring (Lucy) Wally Kurth (Ned) Jon Lindstrom (Kevin) Lisa LoCicero (Olivia) Tristan Rogers (Robert) Kin Shriner (Scott) Rena Sofer (Lois) John J. York (Mac) (*Yeah, I said it.)
  11. Knowing FV, if Easton/Finn is truly leaving, he'll just bring him back later as yet another, useless character.
  12. The increase should have been MUCH bigger than that, which should tell everyone at GH something about the appeal (or lack thereof) of Chase and BLQ.
  13. Frankly, I don't think that kind of story would have worked on MSW. That's more like something you'd see from the Dean Hargrove/Fred Silverman Mystery Factory.
  14. Nah, like I've said before, Alexis really doesn't need any offspring around. And if that doesn't work...? School bus accident, here we come.
  15. You seriously want to kill off Jessica Fletcher, lol?
  16. And I...? Would get rid of all three.
  17. Yep! That's the one! Like I said, it's either really clever or a total cheat, depending on how you look at it, lol. (I, myself, was happy to see MSW still playing with the format by that point.)
  18. Which is why I thought it was so dumb of them to wrap up the story so quickly the following season. And all because David Jacobs was thinking like a parent and not like a storyteller. (For once, I'm on Michael Filerman's side, lol).
  19. It could've been*. Most soap writers seem to have their pet story and character ideas. Bill Bell, for instance, loved telling stories where siblings fall in love with the same person (as was just mentioned in the DAYS thread); and Agnes Nixon clearly loved writing for anti-heroines with single moms, who lived on the wrong side of the tracks and dreamed of having a better life. Maybe the mother/daughter/boyfriend story is Mulcahey's favorite? (Gosh, I wish he had written for KNOTS LANDING back in the day, lol). *I say "could've been," because, well, you know. Perhaps, but it's all up in the air, now that PM is out and Korte, for the time being, is sole HW. Plus, as we know, FV just hates getting rid of anyone on this show, no matter how played out they are, lol.
  20. Victor Newman might be a lot of things, but he's not a monster, lol.
