Thanks for posting. I'm excited to see how they'll wrap this up. Hopefully they'll bring back familiar faces from the original.

NBC Daytime
What was the "official" NBC line-up in 1997 through mid-1999? In Chicago, they bumped AW back from noon to 1pm, so that Sunset Beach could take its place. So we had 11am DAYS, 12 noon SUN, 1pm AW until AW's cancellation/Passions' premiere. Then, they moved DAYS to 1pm and Passions at 2pm with SUN staying at noon through the end of the year.

Chiming in on this in case it hasn't been mentioned... The funny thing, which those folks will never acknowledge, is that passage was translated incorrectly over the hundreds of years. The original language was that a man shall not lie with another boy; meaning he was speaking against pedophilia. Somehow, those fine church folks never seemed to bother correcting the English translation. On a different topic: Isn't over 50% of "DEI hires" white women?

Now that I'm caught up, yeah, from the moment Rachel/Woman In White said Ava was the problem and lil Rachel had to get rid of her, the whole thing rang false. Rachel of 1996 would have said the exact opposite. I'm loving the nods to the past (kudos to Stacy Haiduk for lighting up when she mentioned The Parrot Man; you'd almost believe she had played the role back then instead of Eileen) and I love the fact that we're revisiting Aremid after nearly 30 years, but they've already gotten the Lady in White's motives all mucked up. And of course, we have a sad 2025 version of the once-large and beautiful Blake family home (and it was their actual home, not their "summer home" as Kristen said on Friday's show).

I'm still at the beginning of Thursday's episode, but yeah that is funny that Rachel would make it all the way to Aremid considering it used to be quite a drive, so much so that I distinctly remember Marlena and an amnesiac Stefano taking a private plane to get there in time to see "Tony" just before he died (nevermind the fact that there was a "terrible storm" that prevented them from taking "Tony" to a nearby hospital, all the while Marlena & Stefano get there just fine by plane, but whatevs, it was 1995, I can let it go now, lol)

Yeah, the actor who plays Kerry is stiff as a board. To think that 10 years ago at this time, we had the saga of Paul/Will/Sonny playing out with NuWill hopping into bed with Paul. Compare that to today's gay love triangle... oy. Even though I'll always identify Jay Kenneth Johnson the most with Philip Kiriakis, his version of Phil's decent into madness was creepy. John Paul Lavoisier's version allows the character to vacillate between sweet, campy, and slightly off-balance. If this is the road they're taking for Philip, JPL is the better actor to portray it. JMO. Agreed about Elia Cantu. She has a great presence and could be a real force on this canvas. But this Fake Rafe stuff is just awful.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
Good decision! I was glad to see that. I think Katie deserves another season, even if she totally fumbled the ball at reunion. Thinking of OC's 5 longstanding wives + 2 newbies, it reminds me of currently watching Married to Medicine with the core 5 + 2 newbies that are kind of outsiders (Phaedra, Sweet Tea).

All the Greenes need to go. None of it is consistent, makes sense, or is remotely interesting. I hope they don't saddle Chad with the Nu90210'er indefinitely. With the new writers' material coming onscreen in a few months, I hope they did a full assessment of their very large cast of contract and recurring players and did some much needed pruning.

The Politics Thread
Yeah. It's sad. And seeing the Jack Smith report, once again, Trump gets away with everything. I have resigned myself to the fact that he will get away with everything, won't be held accountable for anything, and unless we are lucky enough (which we won't be) to see him die soon of a heart attack, stroke, aneurism, etc. where the right-wing dingbats won't cry foul (as much) saying he was killed... he will be one of those lucky sons of bitches that eats garbage day in and day out and will still live to see the age of 102.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I've gotta echo the same sentiment as others about the latest Potomac episode: the constant graphic details of Mia and Jacqueline's sex lives is unnecessary and cheapens the whole brand. I'm certainly no prude, but there are just some things I don't want to know about them, and I cringe to think the "real" people in their lives now know these things, too. I feel the same whenever housewives get into details about their pubic hair. Whether it's smooth shaven, waxed, landing strip, or full unruly bush, I don't wanna know! lol

Damn... going out with a whimper. She won't be back. Hi y'all! Been out on holiday break and now busy busy playing catch-up at work and life. I too was hit with the bug. In fact, here it was late 2024 and I finally got Covid! Same with the hubby. As far as I know, it's the first time I ever had it and boy was it a doozy! Shall we do a Best & Worst of 2024, January Edition? Man, I gotta think back to the first half of last year... Edit: Karen Huger's peeps are saying she could not attend the reunion because she has entered a private recovery program.

Wow, those were some damning videos. She shouldn't have bothered fighting this in court.

Yeah, we soap fans are used to it. Still, it looks good. The sets look large and lush. Not gonna lie, at first glance, it gives me flashbacks of watching the first episode of The Have and Have Nots (a show which turned out to be the biggest waste of time EVER). Thankfully, that creator has nothing to do with this show, so I have high hopes.

She's trying to out-crazy Marjorie. (Love the GL reference, BTW, lol) I've noticed this thread has been much quieter lately. I guess we really have taken a step back from the daily crazy that is our current political climate, for the sake of our own sanity.

That Mia is really doing a number on her children. And then, her dumbest question of all, after asking if they knew what divorce was and explaining that she and their dad are going to divorce... she asks again if they're still sad about it, they say yes, and she says "Whyyy?" Mia, you sound like an idiot. Of COURSE they're still going to be upset about the situation. Looking forward to La Dame and Potomac's Terri DeMarco next week. Kick her out, Grande Dame. Re: Gizelle and her father's will. My hubby told me he read somewhere she's going through a situation similar to Tori Spelling vs. her mother Candy. I haven't read up on any details (and honestly, I never even thought of Gizelle's mother and whether she was still alive), so Gizelle's words of saying "someone," referring to her father's will getting changed by someone else, may be code for her mother.

Again, the fact that Gizelle has me rooting for her shows what a garbage person Mia is. Someone should ask her on the record how'd she feel about Bravo replacing Mia with Monique

Yes, yes, yes, Kyle the forever put-upon victim since day one when she made that catty comment about Bravo not wanting to film Camille on vacation unless Kelsey was with her. She was busy playing scissor sisters last year and now is in her feelings because Mo and his teeth moved out to recapture his bachelorhood of 30 years ago, and he's having the time of his life. I guess she thought he'd put up with her lil "phase" and maybe even think it was kinda hot. She's really dipping and diving with her excuses to make her the victim against Dorit. The crack at Bravocon was an innocent joke right after Kyle spilled a drink on Dorit. Like, duh... Team Dorit all the way on this. Meanwhile, I love each and every moment we get to see Jennifer Tilly and her Simpsons divorce money. She always makes me laugh.

I mean, why would they? lol She had one good line they kept in (pointing out Angie's olive branch was Rosemary) Otherwise she could've been completely edited out.

It's amazing how Kathy hated how Kyle aired the family's dirty laundry by outing Kim's alcoholism 14 years ago, yet has no problem parading about like a clown this season.
