  1. i agree with you. It’s ludicrous to think that MM insisted she not return as Hilary. What is wrong with people making up this stuff out of thin air? And yes, that entire article is spin. We all know she left because they didn’t want to pay her, not because she played a character for 5 years.
  2. I have to agree with you. Gaston was a great Chance on Y&R, but he was just awful as Ben on Days.
  3. You really nail the problems with Bell’s writing. You said it all.
  4. There’s no drama if Sally and Summer are friends.
  5. Right. Make it make sense. Ron trots out the same evil guys over and over, whether they fit in the story or not. Criminals who would be locked away forever CONSTANTLY get out of jail. — mostly by some easy escape. It’s just hard to invest in stories like this. And don’t get me started on the way Kristen runs that jail and gets out.
  6. Thanks for the therapy, honey. Back at you, though. *I’M* worked up over all of this? LOLOL You could have fooled me. And please. The idea that vets are always right and always have to be supported is too lame for words. It’s just ridiculous.
  7. Sorry, when a slam is surrounded by a defense, people remember the slam. I don’t think that’s shade, subtle or otherwise. I don’t think VM watches GH, so she doesn’t know anyone she didn’t work with.
  8. It’s just awful writing, and hiring a black scriptwriter won’t help if the HW is so effing terrible.
  9. This is just bullsh_t to say Wes Ramsey is there because of Laura Wright or exec favoritism. Have all the theories you want, but in the end you know nothing. You have no knowledge of anything that goes on at GH. Dont come at TR? Why — is he untouchable? Do soap veterans always get it right, even when they dump on another castmate on video? Rogers’ ONLY specific callout was Wes Ramsey — and no one else. Not a casting director, not a writer, not a producer, not an actor. It was wrong, and it does not matter how bad you think WR is on the show. That is irrelevant. TR tells it like it is? Shove that. It’s what peon said about Trump. It’s what people say to excuse others who hurt people for no reason. Tristan Rogers’ “truth” did nothing but hurt another human being. I’m not asking anyone to start loving WR in that role. I am saying Rogers is the one who is wrong here. And then Wes writes a long IG and is criticized for THAT. My God. I can only imagine the grief he’d get if he mentioned TR in that message. Meanwhile, apparent saint Tristan Rogers is praised for his comments about Ramsey. Unbelievable.
  10. Way too much of the Faith bullying mess was wrapped up in one scene with Faith, Nick, and Sharon. Awful.
  11. Yes to most of this. All of you calling this more drama — that drama was created by Tristan Rogers, who stepped completely over the line in his criticism. Instead, Wes Ramsey gets knocked for a long response? GMAFB. Imagine how much it hurts to be bashed like that, knowing Soap Twitter already hates you — and now your other cast members get to see it up close, too? I never defended WR before this, but I’ll defend him now, and I feel sorry for him. TR is a good guy, but he screwed up. This is on him, and no, it’s not ok because he was “honest.” Screw honesty when it hurts others and does moth to make anything better. TR solved nothing. The number of people using this mess to go after Wes Ramsey even harder is disturbing and disgusting. They hate the character, but that’s bled into hating the actor. It’s appalling, and it’s sad. if you can’t see, after reading his IG, how all this has affected Ramsey, I feel sorry for you. It’s all one big example of how terrible social media can be.
  12. Honestly, you’re too kind. She was looking rough and tired.
  13. The 2020 music isn’t bad, but the original cue is SO much better. Completely different atmosphere to the entire scene, and I have no idea why they’d even touch it. BTW, I thought Christel Khalil was just terrific in this episode.
  14. Yeah, I agree. Y&R has done a nice job with these classics. I don’t think GH and B&B offered even one must-see episode during this entire period.
  15. That full interview with Morrow, Case, and Grimes is about 40 minutes, and definitely worth watching. Really enjoyed it. You can tell the 3 of them not only respect each other, but also really love each other. Josh described his relationship with Sharon Case as putting on his favorite hoodie. They all laughed, but Morrow explained it and it made perfect sense.
  16. This Friday classic episode was really a dud.
  17. I know the word gets around, and I know how tough the industry was on gay people. But the fact is that a Terry Lester had a good job. By all accounts, he quit that job, leaving on his own. While gay people were cheated out of roles, plenty of gay people were also hired. I didn’t post here to argue about gays in entertainment. I am gay and I know all about society and the way people deal with LGBTQ+ people. My point was that there is no evidence that Terry Lester was blackballed because of his sexuality.
  18. Terry Lester was great, but where’s the evidence that being gay cost him a career in prime time? He wasn’t out, and there were no rumors about him. Other closeted actors had careers in prime time and movies, so I’m not buying this about Lester.
  19. Honestly, I’d love to watch the entire series again — beginning in 1973. Do you agree with me that there’d be an audience for it? I’d be willing to pay for it, too. They could upload it to CBS All Access and I’ll subscribe, or I’d pay a fee to watch it somewhere else. There are a lot of years I’d love to watch again.
  20. Sorry, but I found that post to be hilarious.
  21. Today’s episode was awful. I hated it when it aired and I hate it more now. It’s Josh Griffith at his worst as Executive Producer — a short arc that is out of nowhere and meaningless to future story. MAB was headwriter, so I don’t know who to blame more. Michael Edward Gross was great on Family Ties, but he is so miscast as this ashram guru. Terrible performance. What a waste to spend money on that set. This episode did remind me just how good Emily O’Brien was as Jana, and how they screwed up her character. She’d be great to still have around. The rest of the show was really low energy. This episode should have been left in the vault.
  22. There’s gotta be some compromise between a bad CLB dye job and this gray haired and bearded mess with the scarf.
  23. As much as I miss Olivia on the canvas, i have to agree — she was SO sanctimonious SO often, and such a hypocrite, with Malcolm, with Nate, and with others. She’s inflexible and stubborn as hell, and often very moody. These classic episodes have shown us an Olivia who is REALLY hard to like.
  24. Why was Ashley SO concerned about Nikki? She was with Victor, and I really don’t understand her uber-concern over Nikki’s health, sleeping in, etc. This episode reminded me of how often Bill Bell’s writing frustrated me. All these scenes and conversations with Nikki, but no one tells her what they’re thinking? No one says “You were bombed and passed out”? Jack cried while saying he felt like hitting her, yet he couldn’t tell her what was going on when she was sober. Just ridiculous.
  25. I like EB, but those scenes did not merit an Emmy. Don’t they submit scenes from two different shows? Because those scenes with young Adam don’t do it, at least not for me. They were sweet, but that’s about it.
