  1. I don't recall if AL and TL had strong chemistry, they had Colleen pretty heavily involved with her professor at that time. But I'm sure they would've made it work, she and DS were great recasts. I think the show kept trying for a decade with diminishing results to build up the AA canvas until they just decided that Neil, Devon and Hillary was enough (Lily too I suppose, I don't like to talk about her) and now they don't seem to care at all. At least Bryton can still pay his mortgage.
  2. There was zero because Keith Hamilton Cobb played every scene like he couldn't stand the woman he was talking to. He treated Phyllis and Dru like nuisances. And then they gave him an utterly tragic and depressing backstory. Which he couldn't pull off because he's not the best actor. I swear all of his charisma lied in those dreads he cut off. I'm not sure there were any real plans for either character other than to give Billy and Mac a friend group to interact with but the actors and characters took off so the show decided to give them layers and stories beyond best friend and teenage heavy. It's a real shame what they did to JT (and Mac and Billy), his love story with Colleen was one of my favorites.
  3. I can't say for sure (some AMC historian please provide insight) but I think some of the humor started with Opal in the early 80s and of course Carol Burnett was on the show in 83.
  4. Wasn't AMC known for it's humor long before SB premiered?
  5. I'm shocked by how young she was.
  6. Thank you. He's not Barbara Walters, he's a moderator just trying to get these actors to reminisce not trash producers or writers. If they happen to while talking about the past that's on them but I don't expect him to pull it out of them.
  7. Kristen and Eddie Alderson had such thick accents as children.
  8. Wow she was only there for 2 years? She made quite an impact, such a big impact they kept that struggle couple together despite a terrible recast.
  9. Jenny is so naive, poor thing. How long were they in the city for? Just that one summer? The scene with Angie's father and Jesse's uncle (about 24:20 in) is great, I wish it wasn't cut off.
  10. It's funny, he grew up to look a little like Agim Kaba.
  11. Didn't even need to see this comment to know it was straight up racism.
  12. Isn't that wild? They treat actors the way they do the writers and producers, hiring them despite their lack of talent. I'm telling you all you have to prove in daytime is that you can do the work, not that you can do it well.
  13. The commercial at 17 minutes into this episode. FLOPS the lot of them! Laura was the only one who I genuinely liked (I'm still salty about her recast, awful).
  14. His videos don't have ads on them so idk how he's making money sis...
  15. Lmao Of course the Queen of Daytime gets a solo interview! I love it!
  16. It's really on JFP and the writers for giving her such a fantastic, heartbreaking exit. I've only ever seen Mauren's last 5 or so episodes and she's someone I want to see more of, a journey I want to follow to see how she comes out on the other side. But instead she's just dead.
  17. The truth hurts. I can vouch for this. Constantly bullying me! IDK who to file a complaint with but it's coming. Oh it's coming.
  18. Debbi Morgan struggling through the rona.
  19. Crazy to see 2011 OLTL with better production values than today's Y&R.
  20. Huge sets and EXTRAS! The rec center, Crimson Lights and GCAC used to be bustling. With the budgets now being in the range of 35-60 million a year, how much revenue are these shows generating? I know ratings suck but it's nothing to scoff at that these shows can still bring in 2-4 million people per day, some primetime shows barely have more than that weekly (for instance, ABC's top rated drama Grey's Anatomy averages 6 million viewers, of course more of them are in the desired demo compared to the soaps) .
  21. Beth Ehlers is a peach.
  22. I'm so offended Victoria Rowell and Tonya Lee Williams had to share an onscreen credit. I don't remember Danny being back long enough to get with Chris and move in with her. He wasn't around very long (and he was new to me at this time and I didn't like him at all).
  23. Finally! I hope they don't avoid material with Ronn Moss.
