Much gratitude to the Angel for the latest 1997s! Particularly great because they contain the incidental music that their Youtube counterparts didn't have. So glad the music wasn't actually lost. Once we hit 2566 we will get to the point where the Youtube channel a year ago mysteriously stopped their Season 10 uploads midway before completing Season 10.

So annoying. It may be years now before we get an English version.

They had played 2 episodes "live" today. I've just seen that they dropped 3243 without a "live airing". Wow. So maybe there's hope now when an episode appears to have been skipped. It was an easy conclusion to make given they have skipped episodes before.

We will know very soon. This has happened before recently, where a known about to be skipped episode just like this did not get made public. I'm hoping it will be of course, but am not counting my chickens. It sucks because it can mean we will never get the replacement English version if it doesn't make it to VL (no guarantee they're going to licence the entire series).

For episode 2471 in the vault, it's missing the first segment (which the YouTube channel has). I'm not sure if this is an error or is just what VL have available? Thank you to the Angel for the next 20 1997 episodes you've provided! Closer to finding out whether many of the coming episodes actually have the background music?

Found this as a comment on the last episode of Season 8. Could it be true? I would totally support this move of restarting in HD were it actually true! If only they wouldn't skip episodes, have faulty audio and picture, or upload the wrong episode and misnumber them. Can't wait to find out for sure.

It's interesting to compare episode 3186 that just aired on YouTube with the old British copy that's in the vault (Dec 2 1999). It appears the British broadcaster has re-jigged the scenes. I think I've come across this before and just thought it an error. Now it seems deliberate on the British broadcaster's part. Anyway, it's great to have an in-order, much higher quality episode available on YouTube now. This is why we can't have nice things.

Thank you to the Angel for the latest Season 10s! Gratitude for much better picture than what is on YouTube. I've noticed #2471 though has the beginning bit including the opening titles missing. Can that please be replaced if possible? 🙏

So are you saying that from 2506 where this is no background music for at least 40 episodes (on YouTube), that VL have them all WITH music?

3181 (Season 13) that just "aired" on YouTube is quite glitchy around the 15m mark.

I'm in agreement. Everyone is grateful that an effort is being made by the uploaders on the YT channel. I don't see it as being ungrateful if one complains. We just want better for something we care about. But I do agree if you can't try to do something right, why do it at all? It makes the viewing experience so frustrating. Imagine if that was a new show airing on TV or something like Netflix...not knowing if an episode would be skipped, or delivered in bad quality, or shown without music. We wouldn't accept it for a new show, so why would the rules be different for an older show? As Althea has proven, they have been able to provide excellent copies to VL but skip, duplicate, crop and put inferior copies on YT when they have them available. I don't want to jump to the conclusion it's deliberate, but I do feel like there is a lack of care about it. When brought to their attention, they still don't go back and replace what's missed etc. It's like an "oh well" attitude. When VL have made an error, they've gone ahead and fixed the problem. I would be so annoyed if this was the first time watching. I'd want to know what I missed. As for putting mislabeled episodes and bringing you back into Season 12 and wondering what the hell is happening to Rick changing his face back and forth from Jacob to Justin when the episode numbers are all in order??? Newbies would be so confused. I would pay to download and keep all the episodes if they could assure me they would give me a quality product. I'd pay a couple of thousand to have them all to watch at my disposal and know they'd be around to watch in 20 years' time on a rainy day, perhaps when they've long disappeared from a streamer like VL or YT. I'm grateful. I just wish as much care would go into it as if it was handed to a die hard fan to complete the task. The show deserves that level of care.

3170 that "aired" on YouTube today from S13, is really 3126 from S12.

It's such a shame you cannot contact people directly (that I'm aware of) on YouTube. Most often, whoever looks after YouTube HAVE NOT remedied the mistakes, even after acknowledging being aware of them (skipped episodes, duplicated episodes, faulty audio, faulty numbering, episodes ending suddenly (partials), no music). Just when you think they've started to care about getting it right with Season 13, they get it so fundamentally wrong and do nothing about it. It's maddening like others have said. With all these errors, it could be many, many years before a full set of English episodes are available. Hmph. I've just had a look. Chunks of sound missing, jagged audio. The problems never cease.

Yes they are That happens a lot. They usually pick up on it in time. Sometimes they don’t appear scheduled and then they do appear when they’re meant to. And sometimes they are skipped when they’ve not automated them. It’s frustrating.

It’s just so odd. By uploading these pristine mistaken Season 12 episodes, they clearly have Season 12 and probably 9-11 as well ready to go but leapt forward to Season 13 to begin this new HD era. They must have their reasons for starting with S13. Pity it includes random episodes from S12 meaning episodes from S13 are then skipped. Who knows if we’ll ever get those skipped episodes now?

How do you check that based on a single image from a thumbnail than by watching those entire episodes? Some sort of technology? Thanks

I'm not watching but thankfully saw the comments. There are some incredibly astute viewers watching live on YouTube who know their episode numbers!

There's still 2.5 weeks before S8 completes on YouTube, but yes I'd agree they would probably already have started advertising S9 as starting soon in the banner. I would more than happily trade losing S9 for now, for HD episodes from 1987 at 3 episodes per day! **** In other news, the YouTube channel has just put up episode 3104 from Season 12 and labelled it as 3151 from Season 13. This is why we can't have nice things. And now 3152 from S13 airing right this minute is actually episode 3109 from S12. Sigh.
