I'm up to January 1996 in my rewatch, where Ridge finds the faked letter from Dr Tracy Peters. It would appear the suspects are both Mike Guthrie and Sheila. Tracy was killed by mugging the night before in the hospital parking lot when Brooke and Ridge go to get her take on the letter. I'm not up to a revisited paternity test yet where Eric's revealed to be the father, and if memory serves from my original viewing, we never got to find out who planted the letter, and who killed Tracy? Does anyone know if there was a common viewer take on who did both (the letter and the killing)? Even though Mike wasn't known to be a killer, his behavior and anger towards Brooke seems to suggest he was the one who did both. Sheila certainly seemed shocked by it all when Ridge came to confront her and throttle her. What does everyone else who has seen this sequence think as to who the culprit was?

The official channel is going straight into Season 19! Let's hope all these episodes are HD because another one today (4628) is 360p - strange given the previous version loaded to the channel in 2020 was 480p. Thankfully the DVD version of this episode is in the vault (Aug 05).

Agreed. A screen recording is never going to be as good as a "backend rip", plus then including commercials to me seems to be (a very nice gesture) a waste of the screen recorder's time and hard drive space when we already have better versions without ads. The secret is someone being able to work out a backend rip!

That's an impressive difference. It's a pity no one seems to know how to snag the episodes from there! Hopefully Shout sticks around so people can watch at their leisure anytime in the future.

Thanks for the jdownloader tip! It worked! Yes it's a recent thing they announced, quite a few audio languages generated in AI it seems. I can only imagine how some of the languages translated back into English might come out! ha ha

Those 360p versions they're uploading for Season 18 "FULL HD" are getting really annoying - worse than their 480p counterparts the channel uploaded years ago with the show clapper and episode timing at the bottom of the screen. Has anyone found the episodes are hard to snag in English now that they are offering lots of languages done with AI? Solutions? Thanks.

It's 360p. It's worse than the original 480p one on YouTube with the counter and clapper. Clearly the intention was to load a 1080p version given the "Full HD" branding, but someone screwed up uploading it to the channel. Like all the other errors on the channel, it's unlikely to ever be fixed. I wonder what version they play during the "live" airing on rotation?

If the new and improved copies that @rsclassicfanforever has uploaded can be manually moved into the "by month, by year" folders, that would be awesome. I personally don't think it's necessary to keep the older versions (which either have Dutch subtitles hard coded on them, or are lesser in picture quality). That's a lot of valuable drive space that could be cleared. Just my view but can appreciate others may feel differently. The structure had been by month by year previously, so I think it would be easier to conform to that, where so much prior work to get it to that format has already been done. Hopefully you can "drag and drop" so the new copies are in the right month/year? Re Clips, I never look at them now we pretty much have the episodes in full. Appreciate others may use, however. Thanks for all your hard work here @BoldRestless!

The one that Christos did would be the RTL Lounge recording (without end credits and subtitles) and the one @rsclassicfanforever did would be the Videoland version with end credits and no subtitles). Is that what you mean by two versions? @BoldRestless

Also, jumping ahead a bit to future seasons, but does anyone have full English speaking copies of any of 4852, 4897, 5275, 5308, 5590, 5591, 5594 (as these are not in full or at all in English in the vault as far as I can tell)? Another lot of skipped episodes to look forward to when the time comes on Videoland. So annoying. They have skipped so many, especially in season 15 where they skipped 19 episodes throughout the season. Is it just me or is the vault down? It's like a different error message this time so it's hard to know if it's me this time.

Thank you @rsclassicfanforever for 2824 (and that incredible s11 and s12 upload)! The number of non-English speaking episodes left have been reduced to double digits.

It will hopefully appear in the coming months with the current Season 18 daily uploads. It was skipped way back when they started s 18 mid-way with Taylor's return from the dead many years ago. Hopefully not this time around in HD. Someone who has the s18 livestream might be able to confirm whether it's going to be included or not. It does seem like they skip a lot of the episodes where they were released on those compilation DVDs, maybe due to licensing rights.
