I still remember them being friendly in the mid 2000's through the SSK stuff.  I think the friendship completely disappeared once the DH's returned in 2011.  I can't even think of anything recently where they shared dialogue.  Maybe something about Brady or Will/Sonny?  They do really operate in different orbits these days though.  I thought Marlena might be brought into the Sarah/Renee story, but she wasn't lol.

They shared maybe a few scenes during the 2011 return but after that it dwindled.

I have never heard anyone say that.  With the first actress to play Lexie?  Because John was John by the time Renee Jones took over.  Interesting idea.

I am probably crazy, but I swear I thought for a minute they might pair Abe/Marlena up between Roman/RoJohn after Richard Cates died.  That's probably not true, but they were pretty close there for a bit.

Yes the first actress from the the 80s. Renee didn’t take over until 1993. Drake and Cyndi James Gossett’s Lexie had a chemistry.

Thanks for sharing this! I always wanted to see some Susan Martin stuff! She is a character I felt who should have been brought back to the canvas. Anne Milbauer should have been her daughter during her time in Salem.

but I have stated at length my thoughts on aging Belle too soon.  I would have made her Abby/Will's age.

Belle, Phillip and Brady were aged too soon. They should have just brought on Chloe, Mimi, and Jan as the girls. Shawn, Charlie Jannings, Andrew Donovan and/or Alexander Kiriakis as the guys. Max Brady should have been around for the Sami/Carrie era, but they deaged him. I would have loved to see Shawn and Caroline raising a teen while dealing with Sami foolishness.

I thought they confirmed he was dead.  Maggie gave Sarah something of his (a pen?) and she said Neil would have been so proud she was a Dr.  I guess they didn't say Neil was dead, but I took it to mean Neil had passed away and not recently.   Anyway RIP Neil Curtis!

Killing Neil Curtis in my opinion, was a huge blunder. I feel like they could have brought him back from “his rounds” formed a relationship with Sarah and I could see Sarah having a similar relationship with Neil as Mike had with Bill.

Maggie has aged, but Kayla, Tony and Anna haven't and “Alex Marshall” in the same age bracket as “Renee” LOL.

  6. I watch AMC’s 20th, 25th, 35th, and 40th all this weekend on YouTube and I enjoyed each of them. I think I loved the 25th the most with the housewarming and all the past characters returning. I never seen that many characters return to a show at once and most of them have a chance to have a speaking part. It was interesting that Angie didn’t return for that anniversary being that Debbie Morgan was on loving at that time.

I always enjoyed many of the funeral episodes to pay tribute to actors that passed away: Tom Horton Mickey Horton & Alice Horton (Days), Steve Hardy, Mary Mae, & Lila Quartermaine (GH), H.B. Lewis & Henry Chamberlain (GL), Mac Cory & Ada Hobson (AW), to name a few

  7. The Brady family on Days including John. I loved their chemistry in the 90s from the fall out of Kayla dating Shane and the tale of two Romans.

Patsy Pease & Thaao Penghlis I am not sure if Days were testing them or not when Kim first arrived.

Michael T. Weiss chemistry with the entire Horton clan. I loved how his Mike acknowledged Mickey as dad and Melissa & Sarah as his sisters.

speaking of these things I miss the days when Hope, and I think Marlena too, would call Caroline and Shawn Ma and Pop, as writers changed that dynamics left and they called them by their first names.
