  1. I am behind and proud of it! Hence me saying, not Sonny and Sidwell’s Wife back at this damn axe range. What twink took Frank to an axe throwing bar 10 years ago? How is this the regular place everyone goes to in Port Charles? This ain't Billyburg Brooklyn. They cut to Scout moping at the Davis house and I legit had no idea who she was. Again.
  2. LOL this is belated but I was rewatching Andre and Dani's wonderful scenes last week and uh, maybe they should've rethought the ending of the bit where Andre monologues beautifully about his parents who died in a plane crash, only for Dani to follow this up by speaking to them and saying 'thank you for letting him land in my life.' Just saying. Script needed another pass!
  3. It is still so ridiculous Trina is so attached to Curtis after Taggert.
  4. They are also notably leaning on him more than Asher Notevengonnatrytospellhislastname (Antonyzyn?), who is weaker but does have charisma. Again, if this was GH 20-30 years ago he or both would already have a potential love interest. But here we are.
  5. I'd rather have Ric run, cheat Laura out of it (for a year or two anyway) and marry Ava as part of that, with them fúcking and bickering all the way. Forms a power base for both of them. That or him becoming DA yet again.
  6. Another reason soap opera reddit should not exist.
  7. I swear to God every time I see a pic of Danny these days I take like 30 seconds to figure out who I'm looking at. This time I thought it was Mario Lopez.
  8. The other thing with Leslie, in fairness, is they are clearly setting her up to take the fall at Winterfest. A lot of her newfound connections or free movement has come too easily and now she is about to get in big trouble. Which works for me. I'll bet that leech Jan stays by her side though!
  9. That is definitely part of it. But Dante and Lulu are basically at a dead stop though because of the show. I think FV is still hedging his bets hoping to make Lulu get potentially involved with Zombie Nathan and Dante with BLQ for awhile, and also has little interest in major frontburner couples he did not create or bless himself (unless it involves untouchable vets he feels he can't fool with, like Sonny and Carly where they have been on autopilot any time they've been together in the last decade). Dante and Lulu fit that bill. They were one of the last major couples of the Guza years, involve veterans he does not prioritize or a family he does not care for (the Spencers) and he is just letting them meander. I've wheezed about this enough times; they should be a tentpole and helping to lead the show. And Emma and Gio's romantic capers or foibles should be central, not a support peg to Joss, Britt and Sidwell. Frank clearly has contempt for Liz and we know one other party hates her and Jason, that is never happening again.
  10. I'm into it. Only if they spring for a real remote! I'll pass on Naomi, who has been disposable to me since almost Day 1. My only interest is in seeing if she sleeps with Izaiah at some point.
  11. Not unlike Frank Valentini's. They had to be dragged through the Sprina era at gunpoint, and they were clearly deeply uncomfortable with Lucky and Liz back together - they kept trying to push a Kristina angle, and Jonathan Jackson has made it clear for almost 20 years he wanted LNL2, period. As soon as he quit/was pushed, Liz is back to manning the nurses' station and nothing else.
  12. GH has plenty of characters and families. It does seem to currently avoid actively pushing along major romance unless it's for one of FV's pets, as @DRW50 has noted many times. Both Genie and Mo are right about that and I wonder if they've sensed it day to day.
  13. I think he popped up following the Doug ordeal to see Frannie afterwards. I remember her mentioning "Speed" too.
  14. I think Alex ran about as long as she could on contract, if not slightly longer. They moved her from power base to power base to keep her insulated from full crashout, and that's why it worked. At least I thought so at the time. Some/many of the stories were silly but they never lost sight of her being a psycho at core. She has always been my model for how to keep a villain like her running long-term (something I have incessantly cited in the GH thread re: Ava Jerome - maybe let Ric run for DA or even Mayor, unseating Laura temporarily, and have her be his bickering spouse).
  15. I don't think it's going to stop her. He's still on recurring and the character has a clear trajectory down the road. LOL, they really do. I do think they've skipped a few steps re: Leslie to get her more immersed in the social fabric of Fairmont Crest and some I can forgive, but Ted deciding to go for bygones with her and try friendship was the worst of them. You needed at least another 4-6 months of story and some other good deeds from her to make that remotely realistic. They clearly love Trisha and the character and want to make Leslie more layered, and sometimes they succeed but other times it feels like even those beats are on fast forward. Which again gives B&B house style to me. The Eva/Kat wars on social media are good for the show. Those fans are ride or die for both. I do agree there needs to be a Banneker set.
  16. Not happening in most of our lifetimes, If ever.
  17. With Chad I just felt like he badly needed Zoloft and seemed adrift and despondent onscreen lol. Chandler seems to giddily piss it away at times, not unlike the easily-bored Trevor St. John. I don't think you ever recast Sami. Will Horton, like Lucky Spencer, is another story if you can't secure the original and/or they are unwilling to act.
  18. Renee Elise Goldsberry does Soapy:
  19. Exactly. They dress down a lot of women in that range on the show other than (you guessed it) OLTL alum Amanda Setton. To me it is deliberate. But Setton can't stop dressing like she just buried her third husband.
  20. Chandler is the closest thing DAYS had to an Ali Sweeney or Jonathan Jackson-level talent when he was young. Now he knows it and barely bothers onscreen. Neither Ali nor Jonathan ever stopped trying on camera. If he would be around more and lock in while there I'd be for it, but he doesn't seem interested.
  21. I don't think she (or many people) were styled well in that era. But it wasn't this bad, and she looked decent in her last stint. Now it's just dour. They have poor Alexa Havins dressed like a widow a lot too. Or a U-Haul lesbian.
  22. She has looked better than this in the past. She just looks matronly, both wardrobe and styling.
