  1. I'm still rooting for Ted and June.
  2. You can find a lot of what Erika has to say in Jeff GIles' book Llanview in the Afternoon. Her website (erikaslezak.com) also has her fan newsletter where she's often been very candid, which is part of what led to Dena Higley's firing in the 2000s. The SOD interviews, I believe, are in this or last month's GH spoiler threads in the spoiler section. Or in the OLTL thread.
  3. I don't think there is any comparison between Bill/Dani and Ashley/Andre. Bill and Dani have real heat and there are a lot of fans who have been into that reconnection online, particularly since Chelsea's kidnapping. Ashley and Andre, not so much. I can understand people being divided on Bill, Dani, Andre, etc. and who they want her to end up with, especially given how Bill treated her in their marriage. That's just good soap. Both couples work for me. I do think Bill and Dani are endgame and I'm good with that but I have no need for a rush to get there. I'd be happy if the latest Dupree-Richardson marriage lasted another year or more.
  4. I always roll my eyes at people who blame the stroke for Fetterman. These red flags were always there.
  5. I'm just worn tf out by yet another mediocre villain being looped into every story on the canvas. I absolutely do not believe metrosexual jewel hoarder Sidwell was always intended to be a part of all these other byzantine spy plotlines. It's building out in reverse again just like Cyrus, Shiloh, etc. where suddenly they're involved in all sorts of insanity. And Carlo Rota is mildly diverting with his humor and flamboyance but really, he's not a patch on GH's spookiest bad guys. Mob or otherwise. That, IMO, remains why Drew has been so successful. He may be a conniving shitheel but he comes by it honestly, and so far he has not had a microchip put back in his brain, had plastic surgery while secretly Shiloh, etc.
  6. I never accepted Nazi Jeremy as real tbqh.
  7. I'll give it a shot. I'm on Chrome. ETA: That worked!
  8. I'm not seeing anything but my name up top on the far right. When I click it it gives me the usual profile dropdown menu but no sign of PMs or those icons. What am I doing wrong? ETA: Never mind - they're there but literally invisible. I had to mouse over them to get a pop up of what they are. The icons above are not visible to me. Nor was the edit button on this post, lol. I just ghosted the mouse over where it usually is, and it said 'edit' so I clicked. Case in point:
  9. Engaging for a moment with the topic with titan, Jill is a skilled line producer who maneuvered herself well and leveraged key veterans at various shows for maximized award potential even with lousy stories or taste. But she's never been the creative she fancied herself to be without talented writers behind her, and as an OLTL fan it was fitting to see her knocked down in power and influence after she nearly destroyed GH, the ABC flagship, in under a year when left to her own devices. (Megan McTavish may be insane but her comments about Jill and having to grudgingly write in Kale Browne three days a week at her behest were funny.) Like a lot of the industry she's got certain skills, but she also has a faded bag of tricks that has been mouldering since 1992. Which is a part of why it was such a hoot to see Jill appear out of the shadows like a leviathan in that video. Of course she's at it again. Who will be the next blonde white chick named Courtney in 2026? Riveting stuff for Gen Z.
  10. Liking Mansi is not the issue. The character has flopped and it is clear FV has downgraded her after making a hard, hard push for Kristina in her most unwatchable state. Or what @DRW50 said.
  11. Letting Brennan put it in yet again while smirking over his shoulder... any day now! She's got him just where she wants him! I do think ol' Jack will be dead by February at the absolute latest. They have set him up as a counter-heavy to Sidwell, forcing poor Joss to work his next scheme or threatening to have her sent down for treason. Once he croaks I still deeply fear we will be subject to Valentin and Carly, partners in crime to lovers, possibly out to find out 'who killed Jack'. Anna was at her best keeping Sonny at arm's length and often somewhat cold, which she only really did (for better or worse) off and on during Carlivati's tenure. But Finola gradually got too emotional over Sonny, Jason, etc. and was allowed to do that onscreen too much long ago. Mulcahey brought some of that steel back, though Finola still managed to choke or quietly sob through some of that material as Anna found her way there lol. She's a brilliant actress and she did a good job with that stuff in '24, but now we're back to the same old and it humiliates the character whether she knows it or not.
  12. It is so dumb and is dragging on already after a couple weeks. By the time Carly wraps this up Joss will be running the local branch office. And yes, Laura deserves better. It's like they tripled down on this Sonny apologia stuff with her and Anna after the Mulcahey saga.
  13. A white twunk with no purpose?? On Days of our Lives??!!
  14. Sorry for the spam. Wasn't sure where to put this, it's from Tony Geary's husband's IG. Tony watching Genie and Maurice on Mo's show.
  15. This show is really trundling along BTW. When is someone going to show up to slit Beastmaster's throat or crack the whip on metrosexual Sidwell? (BTW, openly presenting this cheery bon vivant as casually bisexual would at least be something vaguely diverting.) At least kill Brennan by year's end. I'm bored.
  16. I still am baffled by why Monty brought back stunt hire Gerald Gordon in the early '80s out of nowhere for like a year. I haven't found anyone who can come up with a thing he did in that second stint of note.
  17. I could've sworn FV let other people direct either here or at OLTL. I may be wrong. IIRC Kimberly is now very active directing multi-cam/sitcom work. I'd forgotten she even did Netflix's One Day at a Time.
  18. IIRC MVJ said the million was just the first piece of what Leslie got or was already owed, something they did make explicit in dialogue but not too explicit. Still, I am past worrying about it. I do think they want 30-yo elder millennial Peaches in her Sophia Petrillo wig to be a point of pathos for Leslie. In theory I am fine with that, and don't dislike Peaches despite the jarring physical disconnect and need for a recast lol. But I do think they do a lot of B&B-style whizzing from Point A to Point C with Leslie on this kind of stuff - in one scene she is raising hell, in the next she is weeping over Peaches. There's very little transition to that sometimes that allows for the nuance, and that can be done much better and they can go much deeper with Leslie (and most characters). The newer/younger audience for the show may have less issue with this kind of quick change than we do.
  19. I could've sworn we went over the Bobbie thing a while ago, and saw her introduced to Rick and Lesley as "Nurse Barbara" in very late '77? Or was that early '78? I know the clip is online. Jackie always credited Marland with creating her IIRC.
  20. In fairness, Hillary and Bob Woods were thick as thieves again at least by the end of OLTL. But both she and I believe Mark Derwin not so subtly dissed Kale Browne in the oral history, lol.
  21. I do think it was probably always going to end the way it did.
  22. I'm happy for Dan if so, but he'll always be Kevin Buchanan to me. Hopefully the role can last awhile.
  23. Oh, wow. Thanks @DRW50 And @SoapDope78!
