  1. Many women journalists are noting how it's mostly the men caping for young, hot Nuzzi.
  2. Pretty sure Wheeler and Kreizman undid the Sandy thing when they came aboard. It always felt slapped together by Conboy's team to me, cobbled from spare parts and I never once bought him as Jonathan, so I wasn't at all surprised. It basically was and they did con Conboy (haha) and/or CBS into thinking they were much bigger than they were, IIRC. I had no idea Bradley Cole was on some French soap? Yikes.
  3. Yeah, Janet's foolish misinformation is not going to move votes. And recent reports and polling indicate Trump's supposed mythical Black support is not there much after all. Meanwhile:
  4. Good Lord, this is Fyvush Finkel maybe a year or two out from Picket Fences at the NYC diner with Tina and Cord. You can tell they were treading water for material in July '91 when half an episode is devoted to Karen Witter's bob makeover (masterminded by Penn Jillette!) and has a ton of narrative ellipses dissolve transitions. Kevin is awfully sprung for Stephanie who according to Twitter only first appeared almost exactly two months ago. And Robyn Griggs maybe a month before this. I wonder when they cut her - possibly in the fall, then she came back as part of the Carlo murder story? Ending an episode on Robyn Griggs singing "Words Get in the Way": Also a choice.
  5. I'm just gonna let Janet walk that one back.
  6. Agreed. It's going to be exhilarating stuff to see the transformation. An insane moment of synergy: In the July 16 episode I am positive that is Grace Phillips in a deodorant ad around 23:40, a few months before she becomes Sarah Gordon. Wild also that they appeared to turn the original (Buchanan) Palace Hotel into the Buchanan mansion later on, unless I am very wrong.
  7. The cast is what puts it over, really. Tonja is at her most unhinged, RSW and Laura Koffman are very weird to watch making out but admirably giving it their all, Elaine Princi is always committed and of course there's Erika. Even the Buchanan kids are doing their best with a dumb story. And there is some fun interplay amidst the inanity.
  8. Plenty helpful, thanks. I'm just wading through some of this wretched last of Rauch's writing team stuff.
  9. I am wading through the back half of July '91 and woof it's a lot. Anyone know when a) Loon Lake starts and b) when Malone's first credited day might be?
  10. Non-paywalled link to the original article.
  11. Lord, these Liason stans on Twitter needs to get over this idea that they can will a reunion back into existence. Korte will bring the monkey virus back to kill Liz before that happens. (And again, let me just say on a related note that GH Twitter acts like every weak character or mid couple has a major fanbase - the Robo-Jordan fans are baffling to me.)
  12. That's because Ric is a psycho! She is gonna be down for Lucky.
  13. I am barely watching atm til Lucky and Laura, etc. reunite but damn, JJ and Becky still got it. And I was not one of their stans back in the day. As I've said before, their romance was too saccharine for me when they were young. Not anymore. So wonderful to see them fully locked in. GH is once again doing one of my pet peeves though, something that has plagued Frank Valentini's soaps since OLTL. They too often have characters talk shít out in dreams or hallucinations or whatever and then never get around to the actual discussion IRL because Frank needs another handful of 90 second scenes for Violet, Carly or Jason. The attitude becomes 'you got those fantasy scenes, right?' (This is the same lazy attitude that governs stuff like only focusing on Lucky's biological child vs. the other two sons he actually raised.) No! So whenever LL2 do link up again for real they better get to business. I don't have a problem with adventure stories on a budget but they have to be aware of what they can do vs. whatever set is just standing up, and what garners audience interest. This seems like an excuse to use Steve because they have no idea what to do with him now that Jason/Carly Round X failed, and I am not interested in staring at Steve, Emma Samms and Carlo Rota sitting around a bunch of bare walls. If Genie was actually involved vs. on vacation? I'd watch every day.
  14. Always craven and obsessed with the media world, Puck goes where most of Nuzzi's Beltway friends will not in digging deeper Into the scandal.
  15. Evidently having given up hope that Trump will 'focus on the issues,' Amy Walter faces reality (best seen in the full bottom tweet at the link):
  16. Passions was so bad from the jump. I was a teenager and a longtime fan of supernatural soap like Dark Shadows, I'd watched JER's original Days run and loved a lot of it but I endured that first month of PSSNS like Vietnam and then dipped. No one who didn't imprint on Reilly's work at like age 6 or something could possibly excuse it being what it was.
  17. As I noted upthread, it is currently unlikely they will get there on Nebraska.
  18. Wow: More: Meanwhile:
