  1. Joss Whedon isn't even fit to open a f.ucking letter.
  2. I think Long became more structured during her second stint. But maybe that was more so Curlee/Calhoun's influence.
  3. WarnerMedia Studios CEO, Ann Sarnoff, has said there are no plans to continue on with Snyder. WarnerMedia’s Ann Sarnoff on ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ and DC’s Future He can be a little too self-indulgent sometimes, but he’s not without talent. Maybe he can pitch the Daredevil reboot he’s talked about recently in the press to Marvel/Feige and leave the mess over at WB behind.
  4. She just seems like a deeply unpleasant person. She just can’t hide that well anymore.
  5. That’s like going to the dentist for a simple cleaning and leaving with a root canal.
  6. They had a few good years when Aisha Tyler was on the panel and they were regularly bating The View, but it didn't last. Though, does CBS even have a cheaper alternative to replace it with at this point? I hope they don't think about giving the insufferable Gayle King another hour...
  7. Surprised Jerry's not included, but maybe he couldn't make this one.
  8. Haha, yeah, I would think that would be a working title. Though I have seen some float around the idea that Feige is hesitant about using the X-Men name given the baggage from the Fox universe, or that his focus is more so on establishing mutantkind first before delving into the X-Men in a rebooted franchise. Who knows, I am just ready for them to start f.ucking saying “mutant” in the MCU (which I think will still happen in phase 4).
  9. Yeah, I kind of get the feeling there may be more with Ralph that could play out later down the road. Can we chalk his speed powers up to Agatha’s spell, or does he actually have those powers? It seemed pretty vague to me. Obviously he got out of his trance once Monica broke that necklace. Coincidentally, this finale comes as The Illuminerdi is reporting that Feige and team finally have some concrete plans for mutants in the MCU (beyond the already confirmed Deadpool 3). Feige is definitely being cautious with this given the massive implication it will have on the entire universe.
  10. Overall, I thought this finale was a really mixed bag. There were some touching moments like Wanda fighting alongside the kids and her last “goodbye” with Vision.Wanda also becoming the Scarlet Witch was also breathtaking. But they crammed way too much into this finale I felt. This is a case where I wish there was more than 9 episodes. And I really hope there was a point to casting Evan Peters in this. Who the hell is Ralph Bohner if this isn’t some version of Pietro/Peter/Quicksilver? I kind of get the feeling there is probably more here with this character that we may see play out later.
  11. I wonder if Agatha’s link to the Fantastic Four will ever be explored in the MCU. Probably not, as I don’t ever see them exploring Franklin Richards. Hahn is a revelation though.
  12. And now Michael E. Knight is doing the same on GH!
  13. While many would say this is in line with how Erica Kane would react - apparently the blue ribbon panel had a good laugh at this scene when Lucci submitted it as her Emmy reel that year. The soap press generally wasn’t that kind to Lucci around this time as well.
  14. “Super Powered Individuals.” Just [!@#$%^&*] say “Mutant” already! Evan Peters is so damn charismatic and brings so much energy to his scenes. Really hope he’s really Quicksilver and it’s not a red herring
  15. It seems like she'd be happier to revisit Kendall than Buffy, that's for sure...
  16. Britney was and continues to be very tightly controlled by her handlers. She was never allowed to control her own narrative - when people claim her to be a puppet, they're not kidding. That allowed many in the media to get a free pass for harassing her for years, because those leeching off of her knew it was often good for business to have her name out there in the press and being reported on. Her star power has died down a lot since then, so all of this can be bubbled up to the surface and dissected now. The big difference is Madonna controlled her narrative, something Britney has never been allowed to do in her entire career or life in general. Her team crafted that virginal image around her, and then intentionally crafted the sexpot image to go in contrast to it. Britney continuously got lost in that shuffle. When she's allowed to speak for herself, Britney is often the first to say she was never comfortable with how "sexy" some of her videos and photoshoots had to be. I remember an article a few years back talking about what a dangerous precedent it would have set if Madonna had apologized for the Sex book (like many wanted her to) and that era of her career. To this day, she never has. VICE is generally trash, but this was a good take on it.
  17. Indeed, but so glad to see it really happened. Now, they just need to go ahead and
  18. Lots of press this week on the 30th anniversary of Whitney's iconic (and definitive really) rendition of the Star Spangled Banner at Super Bowl XXV. You know your rendition is iconic when no one remembers the actual game itself, and only remembers your version of the national anthem. Opinion: Whitney Houston's anthem rendition remains iconic 30 years after Super Bowl 25 The Soaring Legacy of Whitney Houston’s Super Bowl National Anthem
  19. Myanmar never really stopped being a military state. Aung San Suu Kyi was very much a power-less figurehead, and her "peaceful" reputation internationally has been obliterated in the past 5 years over Myanmar's blatant genocide of the Rohingya people - not her fault as the military is the one calling the shots there, but Kyi's silence has been deafening and showed what little credibility she has as a leader in that country, especially on the world stage.
  20. Yes, and sadly, Putin will invest heavily in making sure this contingent survives and thrives.
  21. When you watch stuff like this, you can totally understand why most of the world thinks Americans are so f.cuking stupid.
  22. Lindsey Graham can f.uck right off.
