Lol. I understand. For me, it's just John and Marlena are the couple that introduced me to DAYS and Young Me had such a crush on him since I saw his attractive self at Maison Blanche. And whether I regularly viewed or not, I always tried to stay checked in to how they were doing. Also Drake always was a cool man in interviews so I know today's episode is going to hit where it hurts. I know I will have to watch eventually. Work, life, and internet connection are setbacks without me stalling. And I can say that I'm stalling somewhat. At least...like GH episodes on my system...I have some time before they get deleted, but I'm going to be a sobbing mess.

Thanks for the tip. I'm not even there viewing-wise yet and as I told my co-worker who grew up on DAYS today, I'm just not ready. So I know I'll be a mess when I get to the episode. Love all of this.

I meant to ask in the May thread, but hey...it's not like it won't come up... ...has our opinions of Jessica changed at this point? I know we debated at one point if she was sincere in her feelings for Ty or if she was in on his bullying. Now that a little more time has passed, what do we think?

Which is why I said...and continue to say mind you...that the designer is still trying to figure out what works for which character...highlight my points with particular characters. And as I also agree with you, too many misses. She has not found a clear, firm rhythm for me. Yet. I also agree that BTG does a much better job. But I'll give credit where it's due.

Coming into June... It just occurred to me that seeing Carter/Hope engaged that there was something missing. Oh, yeah! DAPHNE. I missed a few episodes, but she left, right? So is Ridge going to be the spoiler for Carter/Hope now? I felt that Daphne/Carter/Hope had more legs to it. But I guess we will see. I did enjoy that show circling back around to Luna/Will/Electra. Katie was spitting nothing, but truth. Same for Sheila. And it's good to see Luna vs Electra, and they gave off more adversary chemistry this time around versus when they were at Deacon's. I was happy to see Liam reduced to C plot.

To bring over from the May Sweeps Thread from @Chris B I know the fashions have gotten mixed reviews but I actually like what the new costume designer is putting the cast in. It feels more modern and the more tacky pieces I feel make sense for rich people. They're buying for the brand and the price and we often see celebs in things like this. Especially for a character like Nikki, I feel the more over the top (and tacky), the more realistic it is. I agree. While it has been hit and miss no question, I have found it fascinating to watch what the costume designer is attempting to do with the various characters and their clothes. Some have been overdue. Some have been fascinating. But (outside of Billy) not boring to watch. I definitely find it more modern as well. My growing issue has been it's not good that the best reason to watch Y&R as of late has been to see what people are wearing rather than the writing. It feels like a red flag.

Well if you write (debatably) correctly, they will come. And from what I heard the Nurse Balls had cliffhanger endings to the episodes?

Haha. The fact that I stopped regularly viewing at the same time and know what you are talking about is chef's kiss. I'm slowly bingewatching Nurse's Ball Week. But it's slow for me because a lot of the same tics and writing flaws for me that made me throw up my hands is still evident *cough*CVE*cough* Thankfully, there are some things I like also and from a glance in the GH May Thread, it seem like it had a good Sweeps with good fallout. And do I even need to mention Nina finally slapping the taste out of Carly's mouth? See? Regardless of her flaws, I do enjoy Korte-headed episodes over CVE-headed episodes because they always seem to have more emotional resonance to long-time fans.

And that charity does still get mentioned from time to time. I want to say the last time was some time this year, too.

I am still behind and know what upcoming week you are talking about. And I know I'm not ready and have not been since the official news. That was my first couple on that show. You won't be alone. When you put it like that...same. Like I say in the thread when I'm more interested in what people are wearing than the stories...red flag. No momentum. Just stalling. lol.

I'm loving the DAYS praise since I'm still approaching mid-May. I am liking the new writers so far. That said...oooooo you gave Y&R an F? 5-27 UGH. SHUT UP, RIDGE!!! So darn entitled, and I don't even care if he's right. Steffy and Hope FINALLY getting along does look suspect. But he's the last person to be sitting here and having an issue. And I'm a sucker for it, but awwww. Carter and Hope got engaged. Cute Liam/Finn moment.

I agree. I definitely hope the reboot keeps the vibe that the original had. I would love to see how the class system is NOW versus back then. Culture clash, but modernized. I didn't even think of that!! Hopefully, they don't air at the same time, but I would say RHOL is done filming. I'm not sure of LoL. I might have to peek in if I have time before work. Well, there was a rumor running around that Caroline Stansbury has been thinking of renting a home back in London for cameos on LoL. So...all hope might not be lost. I'm still shocked Juliet got casted. Worst fear found! smh. How did I miss the Marcus mention? Well I know @kalbir will love that.

5-27 Mixed bag! lol. In the designer department I can feel JM rolling his eyes at being in anything related to a suit, but she did go for comfort with Nick. And I felt it worked. And I liked what Nikki had on. And what Lily had on was something different for her, but she looked great in purple just as Amanda looked superb in white. I could care less about the 'drama' between Adam and Chelesa. It's not even Chelesa's first time dealing with Victor's controlling ways. So my finger found the FF buttons quick. Victor and Michael on the outs. Same ole, same ole. Not bored with it, but same ole. They could use Michael and Lauren for so much more. And Michael must have quit in one of those episodes I missed. The highlight was easily Lily vs Phyllis. I don't know who wrote that, but THANK YOU. Lily was feeling her mama, and I loved every minute of that moment. I was just sad that the Dumas plot...and Amanda's role in it this episode...was clear C plot.

Honestly, I have mixed feelings. While I've enjoyed BTG's May Sweeps, I wanted to see an old school Guza Sweeps just to blow the show up to a whole other level. Tracey...I'm not sure of what Y&R stories she was involved with to get a feel for if I will like them or not. As for Guza's influence, I'm sure that will be obvious once he's out of the building. But I also assume he is the one responsible for Joey and the casino and all things tied to gangsters. Perhaps even the crooked cops storyline that is currently on the backburner.

Same. But you know how annoyed I was with that...and continue to be with it. It was great to see a crafty, powerful black businessman and the possibilities were endless just what with we got so far. The fact Dumas was an alias. The fact Holden was a decoy. The fact Dumas-as-Damian was already ten steps ahead of everyone. I knew eventually he would have to match wits with Victor. But it was set up that it might have interesting to watch with Damian as the Head. The actor can act and is attractive as sin. But I guess we can't have nice things. He really did. And it's HARD to find a romantic partner for Eileen that can match her. He did. He was just let down by the writing.

OMG! Yes!! Best of the episode and double so after my rewatch. She got Anita ALL...THE...WAY...TOGETHER. I can't wait to get caught up and see Sharon. Now you. re: Samantha. Same. I was so annoyed with Month 2 for stalling on Martin's Secret, but in hindsight...that was perfect because I got used to their characters and their lives so NOW I feel so much more invested when the Secret comes out. And how it's been done as a slow burn during May Sweeps with Bill toying with them keeps Bill in villain mode while giving organic conflict for Martin and Smitty due to what's been written for them building up to this month. Bonus...it's clear the actors are soooo much more comfortable with each other. The one thing that I looove about Vernon is that while that is very much true what you said...when need be...he shows very brief moments of an edge. CHOOSE SILENCE...like BE STILL...lives rent free in my head. lol. I can't wait to use that on someone. You wouldn't be alone in that. While not perfect...and haters are going to hate...if you get enjoyment even with flaws, why does anyone have an issue with Pollyanna? I see people are enjoying GH, and I have well documented reasons for liking and disliking it. And I don't at all hate on everyone who have been enjoying it and regularly watch it. It's like seeing a tweet you don't like on the Twitter. You see it, have no need to add to it, and keep scrolling. Same. But tbf...is ANYONE screaming that now...or just naturally liking the show? Same. But I am a sucker for bangs.

I'll say this much...for the most part...soaps WERE giving this Sweeps...LOL. I'm looking at you, BTG, DAYS, and YES GH. But knowing that, I really want to know...especially since I'm behind on at least two of those soaps lol due to work and faulty technology...how would you all grade May Sweeps this time? A B C D F To paraphrase Dani Dupree...the hottest level of Hades...? How did you like Sweeps?
