Yeah, I think that is where I am falling on the Nathan storyline as well. And the anvils do not help. Unless they are red herrings. All soaps need a good himbo. Just like they need a good cop, a good team couple, a scheme team, a villain/villainess, a vixen, a young teen couple, etc. You get what I mean.

So THAT'S why he is doing his Nathan story...to protect her job. Well...jk!! I totally agree on Spin. I don't think I would appreciate him now as much if he was on all the time. Small doses work for me and can stay that way. For me, it's too early to tell on RP (but I am a week behind and seen pictures so I take it Nathan is up and walking about). Just already some of us are seeing the anvils the writers are dropping which RP is playing. Some people don't see it at all in the scenes that have been mentioned. Personally, I can't wait to get more of a complete feel for RP when he is out of the hospital bed. People who have been on a soap, leave, and come back tend to have improved in their time away so I'm curious to see how I will feel about him. Hehe. I agree on AA. Look at CS. I remember him being green, but he's definitely improved. And looked good doing it I might add. Not speaking for others, but November Sweeps discussion for me has been mostly in the BTG thread for me. Here I believe I did it as a joke. Both shows however are definitely doing shifts in their writing. For BTG, I gave my opinion and thoughts why. Here...I don't have an idea why, but just gave my opinion and worries from what I've noticed in said shifting. With GH, when it has shifted...it usually isn't a good thing when they have a good run of stories so the worry. I'm sure someone will correct me, but even with steaming all year around, it does seem like the ad folk are still very focused on Fall (if anything it's moved from August to September to late/September to October), November, January (now), February, and Spring (though I couldn't tell you if it's March or late May/June) now. In terms of shows, I still think writers write to that. And goodness knows we do still get online articles re: sweeps about what to expect for those months. So it still comes into some play. I personally miss the days where it was fall shows, holiday hiatus, winter shows, may finales, summer shows, repeat.

That's the one thing that is currently bugging me about them. Dani and Andre are slowly showing what they are made of and have the potential to be endgame. It's just it's clear the writers want Bill and Dani as endgame. So I can't help, but feel it in the back of my mind. I wish they would just go with the fact that Dani has chemistry with BOTH men and let it go where it's going. But I know they are going to do something that will put in Andre in a bad light. Though I am trying to ignore that...or perhaps surprise me by not going there to make Bill look better.

Hehe. Ashley really don't want to get marry, do she? Given Carrie/Aidan on SATC the first time around. Love Derek twisting that dagger with the Dani mention though. Not Nicole vs Vanessa!!!

As much as I'm enjoying this Nicole/Vanessa scenes, it is reminding me that I wish Nicole had more of her own storyline going on. Now, Joey, you ain't slick! Oops! Come thru, June vs Silk Press Sheila!!!

I'm loving these Dani/Naomi scenes. I guess for me, it's the fact that we get more Dani/Chels scenes since the start of the show than Dani/Naomi so good to see them. Honestly...it's nice to see elevator baby outside of a RC breakdown. Ooooh Derek and his insecurity. smh. That said...can we FREE Shanice? I know the Have-Nots need a third for Gossip brunch. Seriously!

I am rooting for Dani and Andre waaaay too much. For every moment where they do something that I want to shake them for...they have this level of intimacy and straight talk that I've liked since they met again during Chelesa's diva hair toss photoshoot. Oops. Here comes Derek and Ashley.

Jill, Jill, Jill...I don't like the hair length cuz I'm so used to wh*re hair, but I like how it's done. And I loooooooooooove she's in town. Liked the scenes I saw with Nikki. Like the scenes with Victor. Liked she was there when Lily lit Cane's a$$ up for the kids finding out about how he got his Dumas money by Adam and Crew. I was even happy to see Jack and Diane still happy. And scheming. And I like they are already setting up for this L. A. trip.

As a kid/teen growing up in the homophobic South in the 90s I feel that. You also remind me of how I felt when I saw the video for DEEPER AND DEEPER for the first time and how it resonated when up until I saw it my favorite video of hers was LIKE A PRAYER growing up. But when COADF came out, I had just moved here to Cali to live with my sister and one of the DJs at the lesbian bar would play FORBIDDEN LOVE at closing time...giving the fun night one just had there this air of fantasy and magic. And how I felt when Madonna dropped the video for SORRY. It was the one off that album that I wanted to have a video. And just awww...just like when I heard Cher's BELIEVE album and wanted STRONG ENOUGH to get a video and it appeared at 2 am a few weeks later...just dazzled. Madonna did such a great job with that. I remember one critic saying that it was like she had one leg in the past with her other leg in the future with her aesthetic and that always stuck with me. The HUNG UP video was giving so much 80s fun but modernized at the same time. And the vibe throughout the album was such a futuristic journey with stops along the way to different time moments...all fun, all danceable, all love.

I have no doubt. The memories I have from the first one. And the fact she did a continuous mix before anyone (even my lovely Beyonce) did. The template. Hearing SORRY in Sam Goody for the first time. Dancing to it in the clubs. Dancing in interpretive dance with a drag queen to FORBIDDEN LOVE in After Hours. Showing my niece and nephew how to dance to ISSAC. I have so many memories just of that cd. lol. You know it will be worth it.
