Not at all. Laura's kids. LAURA??? Clear disdain. And for an actress that is only playing one mode and an actor that most consider a (handsome) block of wood? I guess my Housewife viewing is showing today aka #theshade And you know I like Britt, BUUUUT. And doing it with non-fabulous hair. But seriously, I just got to the scene where she walks into JASON'S place, asking what he's doing there? Really? We know how I feel about these writers' attempts at humor. It's not landing. At all. Same. It's funny how I could be intrigued with her one moment and want to rip her apart for attacking Robin the next.

You can harp away. This especially got me in my feels while I was at work last night. I know we all remember how excited I was last year when they not only recasted Lulu, but Lucky was finally coming home. At the time, Laura had more to do. And now her kids were coming home!!! They were all going to be on the canvas at the SAME time for the first time in...DECADES. And then Nik was at least close by (whether as Adam Huss or a recast)...I was over the moon. Moreso because there were plenty of current connections to the canvas. That writes itself. Them bias. lol with a side-eye. With Lulu...there was the potential of a triangle whether it was with the ghost of Sam, a LIVE Sam (can't stress that enough), Cody, or BLQ. And I loved the history being played with Lulu vs BLQ. I still felt that they really should have gone into the nuances of the fact that Lulu was in a coma for 4 years and so much has changed and she could not deal. That was not only a storyline that could have worked on its own, but it always felt like the rivalry had that undercurrent of subtext since Lulu kept saying that BLQ had not changed as we the viewers have seen her change over the last four years. It had legs. Throw in Dante, too...major legs. And as everyone has already said...now that Sam has been gone a while, Cody is off in C plot story land with Molly, and BLQ seem more busy with Willow and all these Qs...I've surprised the writers have not worked on building back up Lulu/Dante as the supercouple they were in their day under JMB. But that goes back to my starting the discussion about romance on this show last week. For Lucky, he had Liz. Not to mention her kids. And I cannot stress enough how it irked me that Liz was single and her three major love interests were not only in town but ALSO SINGLE AT THE SAME TIME AS SHE WAS. Again...that writes itself. But to keep it to Lucky...the writers could easily work on (with their slow pace) building Lucky/Liz back up. And I liked that they had the perfect way to do it...they were involved in the mystery of who was killing patients at the hospital. Old school GH mystery/action-adventure. Yay, I was down. Even better that story turned into an umbrella tale. I also hoped that it would allow Lucky to find some life purpose aka a job. I hoped it led to a P.I. job. Not that there was anything wrong with him being a bartender which if written right could lead to story as well. And both of them have their mother. Their mother who is now Mayor. That's another avenue that could be used for them and story. And they could have easily built the family unit back up with regular scenes vs the scattered scenes we got. Or with a story. For example...I've mentioned this a few times before, but...since Kevin appears to be off canvas, I would say play Laura with Erza more since they do have a love/hate adversarial spark going on. What if Lulu or Lucky had picked up on that? Or the writers went there with that pairing and Erza does something that Lulu/Lucky found out about...and having to struggle with telling Laura? And that is just something simple. There was something they could be doing with all of them. So I don't like the abruptness of Lucky being written out, block filming and all. I don't like that while we see Lulu, her rivalry is gone, there's no reunion with Dante in sight, and it's clear they are going to use her to prop up Britt...one of the best recent recast AND a great return story...and THAT'S all they can do. And Laura (Ik GF was on vaca, but) only had 3 episodes. LAURA??? MEANWHILE (the tone and shadiness implied) Britt was resurrected, quickly moved back to PC (for which I am grateful), and has been IMHO regressed back to an annoying character that needs propping. She has a relationship with Jason, rebuilding connections, and potential drama with Lulu due to Rocco that feels tone deaf. Giving square peg in a circle. Just as quickly, Nathan is alive. But...is he Nathan? Britt's acting like he isn't. I just hope that rumor about who he is is false. And worse...resurrected without his love interest nowhere in sight. Dr. O...back...and already getting story here and there and everywhere. While I'm happy to see Ms. O...even I can call a spade a spade. So much of where I've binging (I'm up to this past week yay), Britt is wacka wacka-ing, Dr. O has had good moments, and Nathan is looking ominous while Nina has new presence as she reads Willow every chance she gets. They can do all that in a matter of WEEKS, but these writers...one of whom has been with GH for a looooooong time...could not write for one of GH's premiere families??? To quote Ms. Kenya Moore...REALLY, B@TCH?

Like Ranger, I love how you worded this as well. It is something that has actually been on my mind watching my Hulu system as of late because I find it odd sometimes that it just KNOWS if it makes sense. So I can see exactly what you mean.

LOL! FACTS. True...but the writing was better. But I am bias since I like humor in small doses and definitely not of the 'wacka wacka' style of writing. That would have been nice to see. Because if the day truly comes where ABC decides to commit again to soaps and attempt as has been mentioned a creative refresh and try with someone else, I also do not see Frank wanting to let go on his own. Hehe. Great minds. I clicked on that episode as well for the same reason. It was great to see Spencer and Cameron again. I miss seeing Liz's kids. Like I said yesterday, I have my issues with these new/old writers, but they are definitely in a better place show-wise than a year ago, writing tics and all.

Ah! Same for me. And it people online seem to feel so and observing some of their scenes did make me wonder. I never saw it confirmed, but I wondered. Same. And we almost got that, but alas. And yep, very clear. But again...it's a well they really can't keep going to because it's now just overkill.

I will always truly madly deeply be here for Carrie visits. A fascinating way of seeing it. I would be curious to know as well.

lol. I wasn't sure if they had been dating that they ever broke up so good to hear. I feel that. lol. BTG had one week that was just...sloppy. And I complained all week. Yeah, that would one of those annoying writing tics that GH has. As has been well documented here, a baby/WTD storyline is one of the main stories this show runs to that well waaaay too much to generate drama. Even though the parties involved are more interesting IMHO than most stories, that trope on this show needs a looooooooooong timeout.

I agree. It would be nice to see Anita have a top rival. There's only so long they can rotate SPS between her and Nicole. I would also think there would some more power in Fairmont Crest. A more plausible way for SPS to work around the powerful Duprees. Would have come in handy during those scenes where SPS agreed to add a wing to the country clue.

Agree. So I guess it will be interesting to see their reunion next week (are we going to get a Have-Not brunch for the third week in a row? I hope so!) cuz you know SilkPress is going to next gossip brunch and I'm sure Mona will have a look.

Well do more scheming with her Kristen Dimera self. This just reminds me that they need to get back to her baby lie. I'm hoping that the Next Week promo is her talking to Randy and they give the audience a clue. I agree. Same. I love the Have-Nots so I was happy to see them again on Friday...hehe. But I love Mona more than Jan though I like Jan. When this show started, I mentioned that I felt how the writers were using Derek/Ashley was quite meta. It seem like they were doing nothing important, stuck in their own bubble with silly storylines vs the rest of the cast who had so much story going...like black/poc characters on the other soaps. Rarely allowed to have a good story. The talk-tos to the main characters. So I can see how meta it is to have Dani, Nicole, and Naomi with besties who are white. Outside of Vanessa who should be Dani's bestie, I don't think they have any interesting story on...though I do like the growing story of Dark Derek which will give Ashley something to do once she finds out. And so much better than the Derek and Ashley live together storyline they started with.

Yeah...I would rather have watched Dark Derek this week than him. Can't believe he and Ashley weren't on this week. Oops. Well, how you get them is how you lose them so...*shrugs*

Could it be because Eden was dating the actor though? Allegedly. Yep. Part of me feel like I shouldn't be enjoying it as much as I am. I really hate the writing tics, the clear agendas, the flavors of the month, and I don't see my favorite vets as much as I would like...but does it have its own rhythm, stories that intrigue, movement, vets on screen often, sets that switch often, and characters I care about. Why...yes. It's second only to BTG to me and that for me is high praise. And yes, the cast is soooo talented.

Well, you know that Frank is going to Frank. Just look at the flavors of the month running around as I binge and type. That is a good point. But since the show is currently doing good in spite of his tics...I don't see anyone trying to step in any time like they did with PM.

Yeah, I agree. I had hoped that when the coven of ladies got together, we would get more of it with Ric. Even moreso because it had the deadline of a month. So I am sad we didn't get more since Alexis and Ava definitely worked well off of each other. I think for me, it works now versus before because them New/Old Writers have found a rhythm that for the most part works. And just when they are about to give into their tics that I don't like...they do actually manage to not jump off the cliff. Some things work better than others though. Like what I said last week about how I dislike the start of the Monica's death storyline which everything not connected it had those annoying story tics. But the following weather bounced back, giving Monica's death with the same story elements around the story (Britt, the Nathan storyline), but they found a way to make it work so much better. Yeah...Gio/Emma really is another case of finding lightning in the bottle. And...doing nothing. Which is sad because the potential for both with the current story elements are there.
