She is also familiar for playing in the series of Grape Nuts ads in the late 80's. I was looking at the clips of Lynn Loring as a young Patti. I wonder if Janice Lynde would have been a good recast for the role in the 80's

Thanks for finding that. It seems the show had random writers that submitted storylines and collected a paycheck. I read that Mike Nichols production company produced the series and was given onscreen credit, but he had no personal involvement in it. David Jacobs was considered the new hot shot writer because of Family and was courted to join Lorimar Productions where he submitted Dallas. Bill Blinn who had created Starsky and Hutch left Spelling/Goldberg productions for Lorimar too and directed Eight Is Enough. Writers for Eight also wrote scripts for The Waltons. I remember seeing an interview with Blinn and he said he never would have cast Dick Van Patten as the father, but Fred Silverman at ABC wanted him because he thought he was funny. The actor Blinn wanted for Tom Bradford was a stage actor and when he came to test, he was a mess on camera. Blinn also went on to say he felt bad years later after the kids turned out to be messes, especially Adam Rich who played little Nicholas and said he would never suggest a child be and actor. Interestingly, when Jacobs wrote the script for Dallas in 1977, it was originally titled "The Linda Evans Project". In 1981 Spelling would rip off Dallas with Dynasty and cast Evans in the lead.- Family (1976-1980)
It seems like I recall reading that. Aaron Spelling has said he and Leonard Goldberg came up with the idea in his kitchen. I think there was also a lawsuit brought by Robert Wagner who said he and his then wife Natalie Wood were the ones who pitched the idea for Charlie's Angels.- Family (1976-1980)
I just happened to run across those. I wish they would release the entire series on DVD. Another writer on Family was David Jacobs who created Dallas in 1978 and Knots Landing in 1979.- Family (1976-1980)
I found this page with several season 3 episodes of Family uploaded from the Decades channel. The quality is good. One episode features Dinah Manoff as a crazy friend of Kristy MicNichol. 10 years later they would be playing sisters on Empty Nest. Another episode features Linda Lavin (who also did a film with Kristy around this time in 1978 called Like Mom, Like Me). Linda plays a client in this episode who tried to seduce Doug Lawrence.- Y&R: Old Articles

I know Dorian Lopinto joins the show at some point and becomes involved with Luke and marries him.- Y&R: Old Articles
In 1975 they used the blood test match the prove paternity. Today that would not hold water with the advent of DNA. Lorie and Mark may not really be brother and sister. Imagine if they were to bring Lorie back and played it out. She and Mark being separated for over 40 years. In 1982 they also did the blood test match on little Victoria. What if she was really Kevin Bancroft's daughter ?- The Doctors Discussion Thread
I ran across Frank Telfer (Luke) page. He has been acting and modeling since 1964. He is now 74 years old.- Y&R: Old Articles

THANK YOU for the 1975 episode. What a treat. One thing to note is John McCook is on the show in 1975. Most write ups have him joining in 76. The guy at the party Mr. Kincaid talking to Lance and Leslie is actor Mike Road. He is best known for the voice of Race Bannon on Johnny Quest and Zandor on the Hurculoids. He died in 2013 at age 95. Mark was sadly be proven wrong. Lorie is his half sister and they are to never be together. I read Jamie Lyn Bauer and Bill Bell got hate mail when Lorie said she did not care and wanted to marry him anyway.- DAYS: Behind the Scenes, Articles/Photos

I remember someone posting that one actress was forced to watch Rauch receive a BJ from another actress he was boinking as punishment for something she had done on set. Is that true ? He also sexually harassed Maeve Kinkead at AW and she was moved to GL to avoid a lawsuit. Years later he arrived at GL and made her life hell.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Holly said she knew when she met Rauch for the first time that he was out to get rid of her. He complained about her voice and told her to get a voice coach. She called the voice coach and they said they didn't know what the problem was. They told her to out and ask him. He replied " I can't put my finger on it, but there's just something"......he just wanted rid of her ASAP. If you google pics of Rauch he always had that pompous smart @$$ look on his face.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread

A lot of EP and HW have screwed over actors over the years. There were some horror stories about John Conboy back in the day. These Archive Of American Television interviews are great. I hope they do one with Melody Thomas Scott at some point. They already did one with Eric Braeden which I skipped through.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
She said she wrote that storyline herself and had an actor in mind she wanted whom she had dated in real life to play the part. Joe Stuart insisted on casting Burghardt. She said the moment she tested with him, Burhardt had a intense hate for her because she must have reminded him of someone in his personal life. She said Stuart pretty much blamed her for everything and said Burghardt was flubbing his lines because of her etc...- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
Oh Yes she told some stories about his mistreatment of her. He yelled at her about her hair on her hanging down on her neck and she cut it. Then he screamed at her telling her he hated her voice and to go get voice lessons. She also mentioned an actor she refereed to as Martin (she changed his name for her book) that played Dr. Scott and she said he had a hatred towards her and she was frightened to work with him on a daily basis.- One Life to Live Tribute Thread
The EH interview is great. I always wondered why Robert Milli as Dr. Jim Craig # 1 (who she referred to as gorgeous) left the show so soon. She said they quickly wrote him and Peter Deanda (she referred to him a as gorgeous too) as Dr. Price Trainor out and never told her why. They then paired her with politician Bert who she said was a "nothing burger" and put on the back burner. The story about her contract was sad. She said Doris Quinlan froze her out making her panic and sign again with the show getting a raw deal. - "Secret Storm" memories.
