  1. Redaric Williams. Seems like he’s been getting steady gigs since his days on Y&R. Too bad he and Loren Lott were not on the show at the same time. They would have made a pretty couple and probably would’ve had good chemistry too.
  2. Only in America can someone such abominable persons have a platform to spew such vitriol. One of the advantages of no longer having a Twitter account is that I no longer have a timeline and would have completely been able to avoid these types of tweets. Also I I at least know that my creative output (I.e. tweets) won’t be in service of a platform that would allow the likes of “Ye” and Trump back on. So I just saw on BBC that Elon suspended “Ye”? Elon’s governance of the platform has been helter skelter. Why bring him back to the platform in the first place?? A mess.
  3. It’s good to know that Rep. Underwood is being recognized for how effective she has been in terms of doing her job, unlike those who are always on camera yet never seem to get any legislation passed.
  4. Tennis will always gear up for a new level of craziness during the off-season. Marty Fish and Bob Bryan are being fined for promoting gambling. They also happen to be the U.S. Davis Cup coaches. What a bad look, for so many reasons. https://www.msn.com/en-us/sports/tennis/us-tennis-coaches-fish-bryan-fined-for-promoting-gambling/ar-AA14H8lQ
  5. I guess someone is going to get taken to the cleaners in divorce court.
  6. That was like National Geographic, caught in the wild type video, with shutters clicking.🤣 Yeah, I saw chatter about him but I mean previous to this, I never knew. I guess I never had reason to know, lol. Now people are claiming that the two have been separated, how people know all of this, I have no idea.
  7. TJ Holmes’ spouse is a lawyer and from all accounts, not someone to mess with. I had no idea who Robach is/was married to but either Holmes and Robach were deliberately being indiscreet or they’re morons.
  8. The final two candidates in the general election were so bad. The people of Pennsylvania truly need to make better choices for their elected officials. I guess much of the same can be said for a large portion of the country.
  9. The word “iconic” gets thrown around way too often but McVie had a voice that was distinctive and memorable, truly iconic and that’s saying something when it’s a band in which Stevie Nicks is a part of.
  10. What’s this about TJ Holmes and Amy Robach embroiled in some cheating scandal? I haven’t watched GMA ages so the last time I watched Holmes was probably still on CNN shamelessly trying to flirt with Isha Sesay and Amy Robach was still on The Today Show.
  11. Walker’s word vomit is reminiscent of Trump’s during his campaign in 2015-2016. The crazymakers intent on chaos will vote for the likes of Walker and Trump regardless of what idiocy spews from their mouths. Hopefully enough Georgians will not want to see the embarrassment that is Hershel Walker representing them and will vote to re-elect Senator Warnock.
  12. And right with them are far-left wing who are complaining, without actually knowing what proposals are being discussed, that Congressional leaders will concoct an agreement that will undermine the railroad workers and side with the heads of the industry. Each far flank unhelpful in their own way. Jiang was the leader during the crackdowns on the protesters in Tiananmen Square. The Chinese government will probably put up wall to wall coverage to try to draw focus away from the protests against strict COVID-19 lockdowns but this may serve as a reminder of another time when intense restrictions were in place—at least to those who can remember 1989, as many younger generations of Chinese have been blocked by censorship from reading about that era.
  13. 🤑 Money is the reason why transatlantic slavery existed in the first place. It has been socially acceptable for people of means to exploit others and slavery has become an accepted part of the world economy and how corporations and institutions and even governments have done business over centuries, that’s why companies continued to work with “Ye” even after he said such a disgusting thing as that “slavery was a choice”. It is deemed an acceptable part of the narrative for countries and commerce, with little to no remorse for the suffering it caused and continues to cause. Tragically, exploitation equals money for people of means, governments, corporations, universities and even some churches were built from exploiting people. Kanye obviously is not at the bottom rung of society like the typically exploited but with his lack of normal mental capacity, he is exploitable. Social media is rife with grumbling from right-wing trolls who crave chaos and don’t want McConnell or McCarthy to work toward a solution to avert the looming railroad strike.
  14. Having personally travelled to the island, it was apparent that Cubans take healthcare, education, the art and their baseball seriously and are deeply invested in each but unless there are more open relations between the two neighboring nations, there will be no certainty of how Cuban medical research has progressed. The urgency does appear to necessitate the need to put aside nationalism in order to reach a much more important goal. To stop the suffering and death from these cancers. Even having discussed this issue with friends who worked for institutes like Memorial Sloan Kettering, a great deal of ego and politics, even within these institutions themselves is hinder progress. Such a shame.
  15. It is sometimes referred to as the “emperor of all maladies” but just as scientists and researchers and experts in viruses came together to concoct better treatments for coronavirus, surely a similar effort can be put into motion in order to find something as close to a cure for cancer? Yes, this sounds simplistic but why can’t this be a goal into which a worldwide effort is extracted?
  16. That should be a very effective ad. Similar to what one of the people in the ad said, I was on the verge of laughing at the ridiculous things that Walker said until I thought about the dangers of having that sort of tomfoolery in public office. My urge to laugh immediately dissipated.
  17. Thanks for the gift link @marceline. Lemme dig into this article.
  18. ^^In an age where a Bel Air can spring from “The Fresh Prince of Bel Air”, it wouldn’t surprise me if an actual Goncharov film or limited series gets greenlit, but could a real Goncharov ever live up to the one sprouted from the imaginations of hordes of people?
  19. Something I have observed as of late, concerning Twitter. The trending topics skew heavily toward cryptocurrency and right-wing interests since Elon took over the company. I don’t know whether that is what happens for users who login to the site, but as someone who deactivated her account and no longer logs in, whenever I click on the “News” tab on the Explore page, 90% of the trending topics are cryptocurrency. In the past, even when I didn’t login, it was actually news stories from around the world. Right-wingers are cheering what they perceive to be the lack of curation on the site but, at the very least it signals that the majority of Twitter’s users are now tweeting about cryptocurrency and right-wing issues. That is, if there is indeed no algorithm manipulation, which I am not sure is the case.
  20. Some information that I have been looking for and I am not at all surprised by the results of the data. https://www.foxbusiness.com/technology/twitter-lost-users-elon-musks-takeover-where-they-go
  21. If it’s any consolation, I doubt the vibe is like this anymore. I don’t get into NYC much anymore but the last time I went, things seemed kind of stodgy. Things have gotten so expensive that creative folks left at least a decade ago and left in its wake are trustafarians and techies.
  22. You just haven’t lived until you’ve been in any public space in NYC and someone plays the theme song from FAME! The way that people will immediately start leaping, twirling and carrying on, to experience it was pure joy! Thank you, Ms. Cara.❤️ This is an interesting tidbit.
