  1. Also definitely don't mess with Symone Sanders, who did the heavy lifting.
  2. I thought Jill Biden was going to fling that protester on the other side of the stage.
  3. Those Dairy protesters are back again, apparently. They are nothing if not consistent.
  4. This has been on my mind from the very beginning. I was thinking of the women that I've talked to and many had Warren in their Top 3 but made mention that the DNA test was a big mistake and could come back to bite. I do agree though that women candidates seem to have no room for margin. I didn't have a problem with Warren adjusting her policies once she discovered that the math wouldn't add up. One of my gripes with her was adapting proposals from other candidates and having to be called out for this before she properly cited that she was taking a proposal from other candidates. Still, she'd be a sure-shot better than most of the candidates that entered the race. One aspect that is truly problematic is the way that media reports on the candidates. They skew many aspects and often tank the prospects of candidates, while completely failing to vet others. There are some candidates for whom they seek to cast in the worst possible light and many times they are women. Often times men are included though. Remember the Howard Dean scream? Then this is the same media that fails to properly examine Trump and his long, sordid history in public life. I said it four years ago and I'll say it again: I wish more people would forgo the MSM and watch PBS instead, which is far more balanced and allows for actual nuance, but people seem to want yelling, screaming soundbytes, audio 'fireworks' and endless useless sports and war analogies.
  5. Finally! 😂 So MA is basically between Joe and Bernie? That's not a good sign for Liz Warren yet I'm not surprised tbh. Unfortunately, Warren took the bait with the DNA results reveal and it seems as though people have been nervous about her prospects against Trump ever since.
  6. I'm a woman and I like a nice butt on a man. Hell, I remember dating one guy for his assets. Just kidding, he had more going for him than that. 😬 If I date a dude with a flat keyster, he'd better have the goods in every other category, including personality and I.Q.!
  7. Tulsi Gabbard won a delegate in American Samoa, apparently, which means she could land on the next debate stage. Bloomberg won American Samoa, apparently.
  8. And Hindu nationalists, of which there are a surprising number of in Texas, Florida and on the West Coast.
  9. Wow, so 4 out of 9 coronavirus deaths came from a single nursing home in Washington State. And people are making a direct link between this and the rollback of regulations for nursing homes under the Trump administration!
  10. 😂 Okay, I giggled when I read that aloud. Considering Sabato's personal views, him being on a set with Ron or Frank would likely be a combustible situation and not a good one. John Voigt is a loon but he still gets work because he does have a modicum of talent. James Woods is just unsightly, so I don't know and don't care what he's up to. Everybody Knows Patricia Heaton is a conservative and she has seemingly never hurt for acting jobs. Kelsey Grammar has done some duds as of late, but he's also done some critically acclaimed shows. AS Jr.'s claims of political persecution fall completely flat. Now if someone were to make Nick Scotti an offer, I wouldn't even flinch. I wouldn't even mind a few wrinkles. I don't know anything about Scotti's politics, I'd just want to see him onscreen again. Oh the imagery! The humanity!
  11. Antonio Sabato Jr. should be glad he has a gig in construction. Back in the 90s, he was pretty to look at but talented thespian, he was not. The ugliness of his rhetoric transferred to the outside and his appeal fell by the wayside years ago. He needs to hold onto that construction job, from what I read, it's not as if he's doing hard labor, hauling huge planks of wood, he's in a supervisory role. So, he needs to count his blessings that he can pay his bills and keep it moving.
  12. Although it's been years since I've watched GMA, this certainly seems like it made for an interesting interview just based on this clip alone.
  13. Just a guess (sorry, vocational hazard), but since it was a serial, rather than a play or film, I would think he'd look at the actress, look at her strengths and write/develop the character accordingly. One thing that I'm pretty sure of, just from a writer's P.O.V. is that Lucy's Lily would have stayed with Brian Bloom's Dusty. Martha stated that originally, Marland wanted Dusty and Lily but began to change his mind after seeing Hensley in scenes of them together. Also, no offense to Martha but looking on her previous work, there was something that screamed "petulance" about her facial expressions when she was a teen (i.e. The Beniker Gang), so as a writer, it was an easy fit to write Martha's Lily as a petulant brat, whereas teenage Lily as portrayed by Lucy, imo would've been more rebellious on the way to maturity, the character was already getting fairly rebellious when Deakins left the role.
  14. I guess Real Andrews was in the same movie that Hutton starred in because Andrews apparently gave a statement claiming that he saw Hutton in the hotel, only to walk back his statement. I-
  15. Big OMG! 🤯 It's not that I even know the man but I've never heard any comments about him before. Then again, I realize that I am not one of those people who truly has their ear to the ground about what goes on with these personalities in the entertainment industry. Things and people most people generally know about, I'm usually finding out for the first time.
  16. Apparently he walked off the set right after this speech. He left someone else to take over the rest of the show.
  17. Is that nuisance Tulsi Gabbard still buzzing about? Didn't Steyer come in 3rd? A very distant third but he owes that placement to whichever of his campaign workers stole Kamala's data (which they claimed they never used-wink) for his strangely generous showing in SC. Still wasn't enough but a lot better than he would've done with his $$$$ alone.
  18. I'm hearing that Klobuchar has ended her campaign. Events are moving fast. It was pretty much a fait accompli when she canceled her event yesterday. The protesters had shown up in advance of her appearance anyway.
  19. Paying to get tested for coronavirus? Something is seriously wrong here.
  20. The vitriol of the Bernie Bros is running neck and neck with the often caustic disposition and personality of Sanders himself as a turnoff for someone like me. And this is coming from someone, who as a college student and graduate once admired many of the positions that Sanders used to discuss, when he once used a tone that was indicative of someone who had respect for other people and not at all the person who readily disparages others. I know that there are followers and fans of every group that are abrasive and irritating but the Bernie Bros are a different level of fanatic and nastiness seems to be a prerequisite. I also think that those who are trying to say, "not all Bernie followers/admirers" are increasingly throwing up their hands or are remaining silent, probably because they know that their voices will never reach above the fray of Bernie Bros ready to shout them down. I feel as though, for about a month, I've been reading too much about the coronavirus but this thread is a very interesting, if unsettling read. You know it's never good when/if any administration is compared to the Bush administration's handling of the dissemination of information regarding going to war in Iraq. There are definite similarities in how the information has been tailored to fit the desired narrative in both cases, to support what the administration wants to show in order to persuade.
  21. Well, Flavor Flav has left the group before so there are likely underlying philosophical issues brewing there. This Sanders rally situation was probably the proverbial straw that broke the camel's back. I too applaud Buttigeig for leaving the race to make way for a clearer path for coalescing around a viable candidate. I follow (and am followed by) quite a few gay men of color and none except for one, was actually checking for Pete. In their tweets many expressed a kind of weariness, if not exasperation that Pete did not speak to their issues or issues such as the mortal peril that transgendered and transwomen, of color especially were facing as well as protection of their civil liberties. I will say that even though I mostly avoid subtweets and comments, which are often vitriolic and nasty, I did see some homophobic comments that I blocked as I don't want that venom anywhere near my social media. I reflexively learned to do this when I came across the disgusting comments I'd see about Kamala Harris as well (some of which I had to report because they were threatening as well as disgusting).
  22. From what I heard, Mayor Pete was not long for the primary race. Speaking of which,
