  1. I'm ashamed to have forgotten, but belated happy birthday to my favourite Emmerdale Farm star. She turned 84 on March 10th.
  2. Amen!! Back when B&B was good it was Brooke and Stephanie who drove the show forward, and regardless if you agreed with their actions or not you always knew where they came from and why they did the things they did. They were both fully rounded characters with positive and negative traits, and you cared about them. I have no idea why I should give a damn about Steffy or Hope, or Brad's newest shining toy Luna.
  3. Right now I'm not sure Brad Bell could write a post-it note....
  4. Steadman Pearson, member of the British 80s pop group Five Star has died, aged 60. Five Star singer Stedman Pearson dies aged 60
  5. Right now I wouldn't wish B&B on anyone, not even my worst enemy. That show is pure trash.
  6. Cancel this trash! It might even be too generous to call it trash. This is worse than trash. I don't think this show can be saved anymore, since we all know that Brad Bell won't step down, and his "writing" is driving it straight to hell.
  7. Czechia: I liked this song almost all the way through. He's got a good voice, and the song has a Bond-like feel to it, but that dance break near the end almost ruined it. Israel: Very similar to last year. A little too similar. But she has a good voice. Portugal: Oh dear.... moving on... quickly San Marino: This sounds better than it actually is, because Italian is such a beautiful language. Switzerland: ESC ballad, Formula 1A. Not bad, but boring. And just like with Czechia, that instrumental break near the end feels out of place. Ukraine: Umm.... no! UK: I'm not overly fond of the tempo changes. I like the verses (even though, or maybe because, they remind me very much of Billy Joel's "My Life") but the slower chorus does nothing for me.
  8. Talk about sore losers.... Several of the contestants here in Sweden this year have been complaining about Kaj's win. Some are saying they won't compete again because it's not about songs anymore but about spectacle, and there's even been some whining about the fact that the members of Kaj are from Finland..... Thankfully there has been some pushback from former contestants as well. And from what I understand Kaj actually received more votes from the public than Loreen did two years ago, when she set a new record. So it's clear that the Swedish public love this song and this performance.
  9. I love it. For the first time since 1998 we will send a song in Swedish. And I'm thrilled that Måns Zelmerlöw didn't win. He's a competent artist and his song and performance were very professional but a bit boring, and it's the kind of song we've sent so many times before.
  10. YES!! Kaj won the Swedish final and will represent us in Basel!
