  1. Oh, you didn't know.... That's EJ DiMera (both actors in the photo has played him) who was born a few years after Will Horton (Sami Brady's son) but was aged up so much he became Sami's contemporary and Will's stepfather. It was the most ridiculous case of SORASing ever.
  2. Someone please stop the madness!! This woman is clearly completely deranged. I don't understand what's happening. Every day you hear a new Republican make some absolutely insane statement. Like the idiot who wanted to rename Greenland into Red White and Blueland. It's like we've all fallen down a rabbithole like Alice did, but instead of ending up in Wonderland we've ended up in Nightmareland.
  3. Maybe, just maybe, I could have tolerated this if Ridge hadn't said what he said about Hope. He basically called her a slut and a bitch to Brooke's face. For her to not only still want to be with him, but practically beg him to come back after he said those things about her daughter is unforgivable writing. It's disgusting, it's sickening and it is demeaning to the character of Brooke in a way that I cannot overlook. I'm amazed that KKL managed to get through those scenes. For her and her character to get this vile writing after carrying this show, and Brad Bell's subpar writing, for decades is insulting. I used to love this show, despite its many flaws, but I'm not prepared to spend anymore time watching this trainwreck. It has had its ups and downs, but I don't think it has ever been as horrible as it is now. Life is too short for me to waste watching and thereby supporting this filth.
  4. Yes, and this is the last straw for me. I will not watch this pathetic excuse for a show anymore. B&B has always, inexplicably considering that it's the women who has carried this show, been misogynistic. But this is taking things to a whole new level. It's disgusting and I'm not giving this crap a second more of my time.
  5. "I don't recall"..... Totally unbelievable. You can see the panic in his eyes when he tries to figure out what to say. I'm stunned by the incompetence and the blatant bullshit the comes out of this idiot's mouth. I'm glad Jon Ossoff doesn't let up and keeps hammering away at him.
  6. This whole chat group story with the journalist from The Atlantic is absolutely insane. And the hypocrisy from the people involved is on a level that is out of this world. Pete Hegseth was screeching like a banshee about Hillary Clinton's emails, but now when the shoe is on the other foot he's trying to discredit The Atlantic and Jeffrey Goldberg and denying this whole thing. And Trump of course knew nothing..... To be fair, that I can actually believe. But for someone who spent years painting Biden as incompetent and not fit to lead, it doesn't paint a very flattering image.
  7. I wonder if KKL stole Brad Bell's parking space or something.... 🤔 This degradation of Brooke is painful to see.
  8. Yes, they should be front and center as the only two original cast members remaining.
  9. I found Janie a bit annoying when she first came on, but she gradually won me over and it felt like she really grew up after Peggy's death. After that she has become a firm favourite of mine. I like to pretend that the return of the character with a different actress in 1986 never happened, and that Janie and Frank remained happily married, raising their family in Essex.
  10. This whole story was so full of missed opportunities it's ridiculous. I guess that's just another example of how lacking in creativity Brad Bell's writing is.
  11. I share your hope, but unless Brad Bell bites the dust I don't see that happening unfortunately. (And just for the record, I'm certainly not wishing death upon him.)
  12. I have finally managed to get back to watching the old episodes of Emmerdale Farm, and we've just left 1973 behind us and entered 1974. Unfortunately this means that we're rapidly approaching the departure of Frank and Janie, and I'm not looking forward to that. I'm really going to miss them when they go. Frank has just received an offer from a school in Essex for a teaching position and Janie has found out that she's pregnant. The Christmas episodes were delightful with a nativity play in the church, which would feel totally out of place on today's show, but was perfect for this era. You also got a little lump in your throat when Annie and Matt spent New Year's Eve together in a quiet kitchen, looking back on the year and thinking about Peggy. They have special relationship those two. Sometimes Matt feels more like a son to Annie than either Jack or Joe.
  13. Heavyweight boxing legend George Foreman dies aged 76
  14. Can't carry a story?? She carried this whole damn show for years! Of course she has limitations as an actress. No one has ever said she's Meryl Streep. But give her the right material (fat chance of that as long as Brad Bell is in charge though) and she most certainly can deliver.
  15. Bingo!! Ridge is a misogynistic pig now, and why any woman with an ounce of self-respect would want him is incomprehensible. Brooke looks like an absolute fool for still pining over Ridge. This pod person has no resemblance to the Brooke I used to know and love, and not even KKL can sell Brooke feeling anything but loathing for Ridge now. Taylor is simply not Taylor anymore. I feel bad for Rebecca Budig, who I'm sure can do solid work under normal circumstances, but she's so, so wrong for the role of Taylor. Hope is a mystery. I don't know what Brad Bell wants to do with her anymore. He just throws stories at the character that just doesn't make sense with how Hope used to be. And Steffy is the worst, mainly because she's obviously meant to be the lead character. JMW tries, but the writing fails her as well. She's to hard as an actress to convincingly play a victim, which Brad Bell has tried, but the character also lacks the ingredient which kept Brooke rootable despite her shenanigans: the underdog status. Without that Steffy just comes off as an entitled, spoiled, hypocritical bitch. Sheila is boring, Luna is insane and what Brad Bell has done to Bill Spencer alone should be enough to remove him from the position as headwriter.
  16. ^^ I think the hatchet job Brad Bell has done on Brooke is probably worse than the one on Hope. Brooke is a shadow of her former self. It's so sad to see what she has been reduced to. I wonder how KKL feels.....
