I Am A Swede

For the first time since Wimbledon 2011 we have a player in the men's draw in one of the GS tournaments. The days when Sweden was a major power in tennis is well and truly over.....

75 years ago today "Gone With the Wind" had its premiere in Atlanta, Georgia, and went on to be the biggest box-office hit the world has seen. Wow, are you really that clueless or maybe I didn't explain good enough. Maybe you've heard of a little thing called WWII? I do believe that the US was involved in that too. This is just another sign of many that Europe is slowly drifting towards the same ideas of racial, ethnical and religious discrimination that the nazis stood for. Anti-semitism is rearing its ugly head again all over Europe and racial and religious tensions are common. Just a few years ago a suggestion like this would have been unthinkable here, and the fact that a member of our parliament, representing the third largest party, is saying these things is cause for concern. Even more scary is the fact that I think many people secretly agree with him. It's amazing how fast people forget. Less than 70 years ago Europe lay in ruins, but now the same ideas which brought us to that point are being heard all over the continent again.

This is really frightening... One of the representatives for the Swedish Democrats in our parliament wants to start registers over the nationality of the parents of prisoners in Swedish prisons, even those who have received citizenship. He thinks he's found a loophole in the Swedish laws against discriminations through this. Shades of the Nuremberg laws in Nazi Germany...... And to think that the party he's representing got almost 13% of the votes in our last election, and in the latest opinion poll they had around 16-17%!!

Like I said I know nothing about drugs, so if you say it's possible I have no reason to doubt you, and consequently not Beverly Johnson either.

First of all, I have no doubt that Bill Cosby is guilty of being a sexual predator, but there is one thing about Beverly Johnson's story that I find a bit hard to believe. She claims that she knew she had been drugged after just two sips. Now, I know nothing about drugs, but is there a drug that works that fast and is so powerful in the small amount she could have ingested? Or has she perhaps embellished her story a bit? I'm not saying it didn't happen, it's just that part of it that puzzles me.

We're seeing episodes from 2013 right now, I'm not sure but it looks like summer, and two episodes airs each day Monday-Friday.

I wouldn't have a problem with the show eliminating the Dingles altogether. I've disliked the family practically since they first arrived in 1994. Not all of them all the time, there were times when I liked some of them, like Chas, Lisa and even Marlon when he was together with Tricia. But Eli, Shadrach, Cain and Debbie were/are useless and a waste of screentime. Charity could stay, because she has potential and is the only one to come even close to the queen bitch herself, Kim. The more positive posts in this thread together with the return of Robert has made me interested in the show again, and I think I might try watching again after the Christmas break we will have here. Of course we're a bit behind the UK, but I will at least give it a try again.
