We don't know the reasons why they don't want to do it, and frankly it's none of our business. They don't want to do it, and that's their prerogative. Trying to place a guilt-trip on them to make them take part won't work. Maybe they don't have fond memories of that time in their lives and have moved on to a better place.

Yes! In August a new volume of old "Emmerdale Farm" episodes will be released! Volume number 5, with 32 episodes originally screened between December 1973 and March 1974! It's been almost 3 years since volume 4 was released, hopefully it won't be that long this time.

Katie was connected to the Sugdens, and very few people connected to the Sugdens have left the show alive. Most of them have been killed off instead.

Yesterday, May the 17th, was the 75th anniversary of the premiere of one of my all-time favourite movies....

Dolly was the leading female character, together with Annie, for a number of years in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Like you I was also fascinated by her, because at the time the only other Dolly I had heard of was Dolly Parton, and she had very little in common with Dolly Skilbeck....

So, I've finally seen "Citizen Kane", the movie regarded by many critics as the greatest movie ever made, and I can't say that I agree with them. It's a good movie no doubt, but I can't say that it's the greatest movie I've ever seen. Maybe my expectations were too high, just like when I first saw another movie hailed by the critics, "Casablanca".

If they intended Pilar as a "replacement" for Melissa they did a horrible job with it. I didn't pay that much attention to the final years of Falcon Crest, beacuse the show was deteriorating so much, but from what I remember Pilar was nothing like Melissa. Melissa drove story, whereas Pilar mostly reacted to what the men surrounding her did, Lance, Richard, her own two brothers etc.
