As an outsider, without real knowledge on politics in the US, I think that Nancy Pelosi is doing exactly what needs to be done. It really doesn't matter if an impeachment is successful or not, she has to do this. It would set a very dangerous precedent if they didn't demonstrate in every way that what happened is completely unacceptable and that they will do everything they can to make sure that the guilty ones will suffer the consequences. It doesn't matter that Trump "only" has two weeks left.

I hope you're right. But at the same time these are people who are growing increasingly desperate in their attempts to hold on to their superiority. I wouldn't put anything past them. And if something serious does happen (which I sincerely hope it won't) then I hope that Trump and his cronies are held accountable for their part. They've done nothing but encourage this and drive this development.

Wow, this is scary stuff.

I can't take much more of this now..... What has happened to the world? I wish sometimes that I would wake up and find that the last few years have been only a dream (or more like a nightmare)

I find it astonishing that this is still going on. Why are these people so willing to do this for Trump? 🤔 What kind of leverage does he have on them? I know it's rare, but it's not the first time a sitting president has lost an election. Why are they so hellbent on trying to keep him in power like this? Frankly, the blatant disrespect they're showing towards the results of a democratic election should disqualify them from keeping their own seats in the senate.
