  1. This has to be a joke, right? It has to be.... Surely noone can be that stupid??
  2. Maybe age has mellowed her..... I'm just sad that she's fallen for the pressure to go under the knife.
  3. There has been a lot of talk about mental health in sports recently, which sadly makes this very topical....
  4. It's never been back on Broadway before? I understand that Barbra would be a tough act to follow, but it's been almost 60 years! A lot of shows that premiered after has already had revivals.
  5. This is so 1980s.....
  6. Equestrian sports have never been my cup of tea, but when it's the Olympics everything is exciting. And yay for Team 🇸🇪 !!
  7. This is so frustrating! After several weeks of low numbers the rate of new infections is rising sharply here. Last week's numbers saw an increase of 30% compared to to week before that. Foreign travels and crowded holiday destinations are probably accounting for a big part of that. People, and especially young people, don't seem to care about the recommendations concerning social distancing anymore. 76% of new infections last week were people born after 1980. It feels like a carbon copy of last summer. Very low figures during July, and then the numbers begin to rise...
  8. Great article! I can't wait till she's finished with her autobiography. Barbra Streisand: 'I've always had the right to sing what I want'
  9. ^^ I read about that. Horrible stuff. As long as Russia and Putin has his back Lukashenko will keep doing these things.
  10. Talk about torrential rain today! I'm glad noone got injured during the women's 400m hurdles semifinals. It can't have been easy to compete under those circumstances. We had at least one fall, but how much that was caused by the rain or by fatigue is hard to say.
  11. Pat Rafter! He was my favourite back in the days when I followed tennis more closely. Such a wonderful serve-and-volley player of a kind we just don't see nowadays. Too bad that he never got to win Wimbledon before his shoulder injuries more or less forced him to retire. He should have won in 2001 instead of the boring serve-bot Ivanisevic.
  12. Of course he could very well be injured for real. He has played a lot of tennis recently, going all the way in both the French Open and Wimbledon. Playing so many matches on three different surfaces in a short time must be very tiresome for the body.
  13. He says he's injured.... In a way you could say it's worse to default a bronze match. That means you miss out on a medal completely. If you default a match for gold at least you get a silver.....
