  1. I think when Long came back in mid 1987..she got to work moving Maureen into the role left void by Bert's death. And abby seemed poised to fill that role in the late 90s...where even Reva went to her for advice...but alas not to be.
  2. I think it said March 25th
  3. New Jersey: Jackie could take a page out of Meredith Mark's book...and show up and disengage when being yelled at...or come wearing a quirky fashion accessory that has everyone talking. Instead she's pulling an Aviva..and we know what happened there. Jennifer...I could be drinking buddies with her lol.
  4. The show did have Erica living in NYC for 2 or 3 years...and visited Pine Valley...but she was basically islander of the show. I think a great story would have been Erica realizing her dreams of stardom hadn't happened...especially with Brooke, Hayley..etc living their dreams. And I did notice in the Hulu reboot Erica was off traveling and scouting out locations for filming..so it sounds like she had left to start anew and without Jack.
  5. Leeandria needs to find a surrogate family...like Tiffany has found with Mama Dee. Kam and Court are poster children for opposites attracts.
  6. Zimmer was dressed much better as Echo on OLTL...in blazers and clothes that fit properly. AMC had a deep with New York and Co...so I'm not not sure why P & G couldn't have done something similar
  7. I wonder Mctavish needed a more down to earth co writer to make her interesting ideas work. Janet/Hayley had some nice bonding scenes in summer of 1991..and how Janet seemed awkward at first until for fun she put on the blonde wig to pretend to be Natalie...and had self confidence so in her mind decided being Natalie was the answer. It did seem like once Wisham left .Janet became a caricature instead of an actual 3 D character. When Mattson took over in 1994..did we see Janet become a character in her own right.
  8. Why I wish 1982 was available because Delia was trying to get back the Crystal Palace...and even IK said she has difficulties with the evening dresses and being manager of the Palace. I couldn't have seen Catherine Hicks Faitg playing the Tom/poppy stuff on RH. And I admit I would have been interested to see how the original Siobhan would have handled being a cop. I couldn't see it...but the only Siobhan convincing as a cop was Marg H.
  9. Chicago was the last season where any sort of deep conversations happened (happened during 9/11)..and I think ratings dropping helped cause the shift. I know London in season 4...they all got along...2 never left the house to explore London...while everyone else had their own lives. Which is why in season 5..the group job element was added
  10. Marland inherited stories that were designed to be faster paced...and slowed them down to the point of boredom. He wasn't a good fit on the show. General hospital..I could never get into either
  11. So Emily Michael's had a 15 month stint and involved in numerous plots..and wouldn't leave Draper/April alone. And all of a sudden, in the June 8 1981 episode (first rerun episode on USA network). Draper confronts her over her lie, than April tells Emily she's pregnant right after Emily says she isn't out of their lives. And poof..she just stops appearing when I think there was mileage still left in the character. I wonder if Slesar had further plans..but with Draper and April leaving..those plans were scraped? I wondered why he didn't just place her in a different orbit like Slesar did with Bobbie (who came in due to the Bryson case..and than played a part in the Sky/raven orbit once April left).
  12. I think Latham/Alden/Smith were a great team in 2006. It seemed updated, but felt like Y & R....last time it did..tbh.
  13. I recall reading how Caitlin worked in the stables..and Donna showed interest in him. So it did fit she would view michael with the same interest as a teen. When Donna came on..was there any mention of Marley..or was she created later on 1984 (retcon)?
  14. It was dropped probably due to head writer change is my theory. Pam long left in January 1986 right after Lujack's death with Alexandra vowing revenge against the Lewis family and Kyle...while Reva had attempted suicide. Neither plot was followed up on well by the next teams. Made me wonder had Pam long stayed...what she would have done. I can say she wouldn't have gotten Josh and Reva back together instantly when he came back in late 1986
  15. Wasn't Beth in the Sampson girl contest? She had always loved Beth likens daughter so maybe that was the reason? In the 80s, Jeva were front and center...but so were other characters and stories. By 1998, only Jeva got airtime..and any other character that got airtime always tied back to Reva.
  16. What makes you think he did cheat?
  17. So Jackie does a redo on hubby's bday party because the original was marred by the cheating rumors...yet all they talk about during the redo is the rumor? The logic, or lack thereof, fascinates me. So what are everyone's instincts saying...did he or didn't he?
  18. Dallas: Gosh these women don't listen. Tiffany said she was tired and wanted to be left alone..and none of the women would listen. No wonder she left early. @Cat Appears in previews for next episode that Brandi is feeling bad for making Tiffany uncomfortable. I do recall on a podcast earlier this year that Tiffany was a great addition. I'm wondering if pregnancy hormones are making Brandi seem off..and she's taking it out on Tiffany? Also, D andia's shamen did Stephanie 's extensions in the past is priceless lol
  19. Griffith was best at character consistency and knowing the soap opera structure. He was never known for his story ideas.
  20. And the creator was Rhea Perlman's sister...and there was a pilot made for a revival that didn't get picked up as a series. And best part of Good Sports was the intro.
  21. I always loved that Hawk and Lillian always would hang out and talk long after they'd broken up. Even in the final year of the show, he said he'd be there for her if she an Buzz didn't work out.
  22. Years ago, I had written a web soap called Another Place and Time about 3 families interconnected in the Chicago suburbs. We had a high class family, a middle class family, and a working class family (3 siblings abandoned by their dad after their mom had passed). I kicked it off with the arrival of a character looking to start over in a new town after tragic events. Eventually I had his past come to town in the form of a vengeful sister of his late lover. His late lover had killed himself, and the sister blamed the lead and started planning her revenge. When looking back, the vengeful sister became the main character...and I realized Kristen Dimera was my inspiration for her.
  23. Almost perfect in season 1 was perfection..and lots of material to explore. Just the ten of us also had so many windows and avenues. Not only the parents and 4 oldest daughters..but Jr and Sherry were starting to get focus in the 3rd season..and were a fun duo. Endless possibilities. Going Places was a replacement for that show...and that's a tragic mistake
