The funny thing is, watching these old clips lately, it looks to me like Brenda is the only one who changed Jill. I have almost exact scenes with Brenda Dickson and Deborah Adair dealing with Dina's return to town and Deborah plays Jill as a vixen, but she has heart and compassion whereas when Brenda returns her Jill is just pure ice. I think it has to do with who was the better actor and how they read the material.

OMG!! It is sublime. I really wanted to do If or Doesn't Really Matter, but I didn't have enough time to learn those dance routines.

Janet Jackson Appreciation Thread
I'm a fairly new drag queen (like 8 months) and I auditioned for an up and coming clubs slot as a Janet impersonator and I did That's The Way Love Goes. I had the performance routine down and the hair and I thought I was hitting it, but the crowd looked at me like I was crazy and then afterwards they asked me why I did such an obscure Janet song. I WANTED TO SCREAM!!! That is not only one of her biggest hits, but one of her best lol. Needless to say I was not the new Janet. It went to some 60 year old tired queen.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I'm so sick of waiting. I need announcements, photos and super trailers for RHOBH and RHOA immediately! As for Nene's hair, I don't think that is surprising at all. Obviously after how she got clowned last year we knew she was going to go back to basics for this year.

The View
The show was TERRIBLE with Jenny McCarthy. I felt like she couldn't be herself and that killed her. She wasn't funny, she wasn't sexy, she wasn't current. It just wasn't a good fit. Why cast Jenny McCarthy, but not let her be herself? I think they need to do a few months with the current panel, but I would definitely look into adding a fifth person, perhaps someone younger at a later stage.

Hollyoaks: Discussion Thread
I still don't think the show recovered from when Lucy Allen was fired and Paul Marquesess fired everybody and replaced them with such bland characters. I also feel that grim tone the show took has mostly been retained even with Kirkwood back. I hate that boring characters like Diane and Sinaed are now mainstays. When Kirkwood (and Lucy Allen) first wrote the show it has such great style and a balance of styles. You had your comedy, drama, big events and it all blended well. Now everything and everybody seems so miserable. I also feel like they struggle with young characters compared to the old days.

Shiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiit! I have always felt Kandi deserves everything she gets from Mama Joyce because she has allowed that woman to run over her, spend her money and she has given her too much power over her life. I love when Nene imitates Kandi in relation to her man or her mama because it is SO true. I can't for another year of Mama Joyce clowning her ass.

Yall have no sense. Why would Mama Joyce want Kandi's old ass house, that Marlo had to take her shoes off in to keep from hitting the ceiling?! She earned her peach and allowed Kandi to marry Todd so she deserves a new house. I hope Todd got her a car as well.

I thought George was great, but I never liked his stories or love interests. I liked his friend (Callum was it?) who ended up getting murdered. I wish they were a couple.

I thought it was good, but they definitely need a fifth person to balance things out. Nobody was annoying, chemistry was good and they all seem smart which is important. I liked the maturity and Sherri Sheppard with her over the top sexuality (which never felt natural) and desire to make everything about herself. LOVED the new set and I LOVE LOVE LOVED the tribute to Joan Rivers. It made me so emotional because you are dealing with people who truly knew her and it wasn't overdone, it felt very natural and was a nice memorial to a woman who served The View well. That was a WONDERFUL touch. I also thought Whoopi looked AMAZING and was better than she has been in years. Not being surrounded by toxicity helped her.

Yes! You can definitely see them start to re-edit and change the timeline of things. I can't wait to see Jacqueline's return since all of her scenes were rumored to be shot in July. Just by looking at her talking heads you can tell her stuff was filmed separately and by a different crew.

ALL: Temporary Replacements
I thought Catherine Hickland was fine as Brooke, but Sandra Ferguson is just not a good actress. I didn't mind her when she was younger on Another World, but she was awful as Felicia on GH and now as Brooke, she is just terrible. Very cool to see that though!

I don't know the full story, but I believe Victor was truly and deeply in love with Lorie, but she was just using him to help Stuart get his company back. I have the 84 episodes on DVD and when she returns Nikki is very insecure because she knows how much Victor loved Lorie, but she makes it clear she isn't interested in him. Here's a clip I uploaded to YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RRCORlJpYZc I think it was pretty fabulous the way they brought the Brooks sisters back for that wedding. It was a nice call back to the old days and it made it an event, both on the show and in real life. On the show you have this hugely succesful family represented, along with all their history on the show. Then in real life you have some of the shows most popular characters returning so it's a win-win for everybody. And their return felt meaningful even though they weren't the focus. I wish soaps did this more often. You don't have to twist history and come up with some insane story to bring people back. Also, not everybody needs a story to be brought back. Simply popping in and out of town when needed adds depth to the scenes and can help flesh out the characters are ARE on screen. ETA: I was looking for clips of Jill and John's 90s marriage, but I found these wonderful clips for Deborah Adair's Jill marrying John instead. I'd love to one day see Bond Gideon as Jill as well. Do we even have any pictures of her? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y33JMe-4-A0 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fDE6Be1P8Lw

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
I don't think New Jersey is terrible. I'd say it's an improvement on the previous two seasons, but the problems with the series are deep and this is their first step to try and remedy that. I could see next season being great if they continue on and stop focusing so much on the family drama.

Shah's Pulled Due to Union Strike: http://deadline.com/2014/09/shahs-of-sunset-strike-season-premiere-delayed-bravo-833424/ Looks like the post-production people are striking in Hollywood so the Shah's of Sunset mid-October premiere has been delayed. I wonder if this will push back the two upcoming Housewives series? Of course they haven't announced a date for either one, but if the people from those shows are striking as well I think it's likely we could see them arriving later. My guess is they'll do everything in their power to get RHOA on air for November sweeps, but I could see RHOBH pushed to December. Because I like to harp on things I must say this is yet another reason it was so stupid not to just run RHOMelbourne in primetime. It was edited, ready to go and has been well-received. Now they literally have nothing they can air in this timeslot.

Have we talked about the big physical fight between Brandi and Kim on RHOBH? LINK: http://www.realitytea.com/2014/09/11/report-kim-richards-brandi-glanville-get-physical-altercation-filming-rhobh/ It looks like this might be true. I knew the rumors of the new season being boring were a lie.

The View
Ana was really strong in her guest hosting spots, I'd say at the very top of the list whether it be Conservative or Latino. Rosie made a mistake there because Ana was barely on a reality show and has a background as a chef and a lawyer which would've come in handy on this show.

I wish Kim had stayed so we never would've gotten Porsha. I think ratings would've been through the roof still had Kim survived that season. We would've had her feuding with Kim (lets not forget Kandi had very little story that year) and her reunion with Nene. Plus I think Kenya and Kim would've been friends.

Bravo's The Real Housewives of....
The DC thing is ridiculous, but Bravo did attempt to give them a second season. The 4 ladies negotiated together and said they would NOT do the show if Michaele was on season two and thats was ultimately killed the show. I think that was foolish on Bravo's part, because despite the scandal, that hurt the show more than anything. Keeping Michaele would've also made it impossible to get ANYBODY to join the cast. They should've been willing to move on. If you look back at that time the housewives franchise was at such a high and they made so many different mistakes which have ultimately derailed things. I hope they can make a turnaround for each of the series.

Joseline killed me at the reunion lol. I loved her describing how she wanted to beat Tammy's ass lol. She is the entire show, hell she is the franchise.

I'm watching RHONJ right now and I feel like TeRESA dyed her hair or did something, probably so viewers could tell her and Nicole apart, but she looks HORRIBLE. I don't even recognize her from the beginning of the season. She looks terrible.
