I thought Toups said we weren't supposed to mention The Talk or its ratings in this thread. Double standards galore.

Seemed to me like Toups was over the cat fights and wanted The Talk specific comments discussed on appropriate threads. I think, considering that this is a ratings thread, that talking about an ABC press release, along with OLTL gains, is well within bounds. This who your babbies' daddyx3?/Clint in over drive story seems to be gaining steam.

There is no double standard here provided no one turns this thread into a kitty litter box.

How times have changed at ABC. The View used to be by far ABC's lowest rated daytime show and now it is their highest rated daytime show, beating GH by probably a million viewers. Just an observation

Glad to see DAYS average above 3 million viewers last week. I'm hoping their Household rating went up from last week.

Maybe advertisers should look more at W25-54 demo than the W18-49 since the W25-54 is a lot better.

I don't see the double standard here. Toups said to not discuss the Talk ratings in this thread, and Kimmiemae didn't discuss the "Talk" ratings.

I hope all the soaps did well in the ratings this week.. :D

Toups can speak for himself so can we stop the "Toups said" and "Toups wants" posts? They're just as pointless as the "Oprah should have..." posts.

For [!@#$%^&*] sake, can someone talk about the ratings? I don't care if its the ratings from the last episode of Ryan's Hope or Search for Tomorrow.

But out of curiosity, I'll be very interested to see the numbers, next week, for Oprah's soap show.

Maybe advertisers should look more at W25-54 demo than the W18-49 since the W25-54 is a lot better.

The only problem is that advertisers are going to pay less to have their spots air during shows that cater to women in the older demographic. Older viewers watch more television, so advertisers can pick and choose which shows they want to buy time on, if that's the group that they want to reach, so the advertisers have more control than the networks.

So all it takes for soaps to be successful is for people to be trapped in their homes with no hope of escape. Looks like we need to bring back Luke, Laura and the weather machine.

I really hope it warms up soon.

Where I live schools were shut down on Thursday and Friday. And those were the lowest for soaps...lol

Nice to see Y&R with a 4.0 rating even though the show sucks.

It seems not even bad weather can get AMC numbers up. It only averaged 2.5 mill viewers. That's low compared to the other 5 soaps. Let's see if Oprah's big AMC show gave it a boost this week.

I thought Y&R was pretty good for a few days last week. The was no Shadam, Nick or Phyllis. It was a great break from that. Agree that the 4.0 looks good.
