ALL: Is Background Music Too Loud?

Featured Replies

On soaps these days, sometimes the background music is louder than the person actually speaking. It's hard to understand what they are saying, especially if they're whispering. I'm not saying cut background music all together, I'm just saying that they should tone it down a bit. I know I am speaking mostly of DAYS, but other soaps often do that, and it annoys me, LOL.

I don't know about you guys, but do you think the background music should be toned down a bit?

Discuss... discuss... discuss, Lol.

I totally agree. There are some scenes in which I can't hear the dialogue because of the damn BG music! DAYS and OLTL are two of the top offenders.

I think ABC soaps are the worst offenders.

ATWT and OLTL are the worst offenders IMO.

On some soaps, the background music is REALLY annoying. I am glad B&Bs background music is good, or I wouldn´t bare to watch the episodes these days with "The Brooke Logan show".

Yeah, sometimes I can hardly here things because of the loud background music.

I love the background music; I think it's perfect.

I especially love the guitar music they play on GH during a touching scene.

I don't think this really applies to Y&R or B&B. Their music seems fine, not too loud at all, at least to me, lol.
