"Mr. Shoes" was actually Jordan Stark on AW (original voice was the guy who played Joe Carlino, but the actor eventually in the role was David Andrew Macdonald, best known as Edmund on GL). Of course, that was before the Lumina storyline got all wacky and Jordan ended up being a 200 year old disfigured man who thought Amanda was the reincarnation of his true love. I attribute all of that to the JERing of daytime.

Well, I liked that story and thought "AW" was gettin' good back then.

I thought that oversized "Cincinatti Ohio" title at the beginning of today's show was RIDICULOUS.

And what, did budget cuts prevent the technicians from throwing in a freaking COMMA in between city and state? My God!

 Damn, starting my day by choking on breakfast is never a good thing! (I'm an editor, so the comma thing really bugged me too...)

I think Steve purposely took Kayla to a bar he knew Della would be at. It is very typical Steve -- he was EXTREMELY self-destructive when he first met Kayla.

We were discussing this on another board: did anyone catch the way Steve tapped on the door frame of the Cheatin' Heart... I mean Eddie's.... as they went in? It was almost as if he was signaling someone... the Bar Skank? The Glove? I couldn't tell if it was something random SN did or what.... but SN RARELY (if ever) makes a random acting choice.... which makes me wonder if there is a LOT more to Della than we think (beyond that she is working for the Glove)

Am I just reading too much into this?

Tell me about it! I'm a reporter and copy editor and that honestly bugged me more than ANYTHING the entire show! I still see red just thinking about it!:angry::angry:

She basically could not have wiped her vagina all over Steve's face fast enough. I hate her.

JER would have made her contract. Thank god, he's gone.

I agree and, like I said, there were rumors of JER giving Steve a wife and making this a triangle so you are probably right but obviously there has been some change since they aren't married, if that story was planned at all. I am thinking you are right though and that was the plan because this woman screams JER and he would have kept her annoying, desperate face around for awhile.

I remember that story Matt and was intrigued by it at first but they lost me when they had that whole secret garden crap with Amanda and Jordan. The plus side is that it got David Andrew Macdonald on the show but too bad it had to end so soon. I liked him and Cindy. I do blame that on JER's affect on daytime but all those soaps who started in on "out there" stories should have realized that most times when you copy a trend or something from someone else it most times never is as successful or as good as the original.

I agree with you about the lightning doesn't strike twice theory, Phoenix. Remember the WILL DOLL? What a BLATANT and painful attempt to replicate the megasuccess that was "Passions"' Timmy.

I loved that Will doll! That is actually one of my favorite bad things Kate has done to Sami, having her think her son was talking to her so she would chase him and fall off a cliff. Thinking back JER must have a thing for cliffs.

I LOVED the Will doll. That thing was creepy as hell  .

I did hate the never-ending confession tape story but it did provide memorable moments like the coronation massacre and Victor/Sami under B&C.

But why should JER have a thing for cliffs? That wasn't JER's! The Will doll story happened in either 1999 or 2000. (I wanna say 2000). Either way, it was after "Passions" premiered, hence, why it was a blatant ripoff of the Timmy doll, which JER was asked about by TV Guide way back when. (He wasn't mad at the obvious knockoff).

I also loved the Will Doll.
