With Hogan Sheffer's material getting ready to hit the airwaves on DAYS in the early fall what storylines do you want to see happen? I have some suggestions.* Mimi,Belle,Sami,and Carrie would get kidnapped one by one to what appears to be a hotel resort in the Carribean.Kate and the back from the dead Stefano engineer the plot.The four women are brainwashed to regress back to their childhood through injections to a point the evil duo almost killing the women but they are later rescued with Kate and Stefano getting away.* Carrie and Lucas get divorced and Lucas marries Sami.*Lexi divorces Abe and marries Tek.Tek takes advantage of the situation and takes out a life insurance policy on Lexi just in case she tries to get back together with Abe with a plan to kill her.But then Tek gets a better plan and plots to kill Abe instead.Tek plants a bomb in a boathouse to kill Abe.But Lexi arrives there first and gets caught in the blast and almost dies from her burns.Stefano will make Tek pay for almost killing Lexie.

Just different stories that don't all involve triangles.

Good pacing.

Unforgettable, memorable scenes.

Good material for the best cast on daytime.

I think the best thing he can do right now is make me care and that can be done with heartfelt, emotional, intimate scenes that don't cut away abruptly

He needs to get away from the all of Reilly's crutches: the endless triangles, the cheesy gimmicks,

the total plot centeredness (at the expense of defining who a character really is), the lack of character

integrity

I want the characters to have depth and complexity again:

the focus of any storyline should include internal conflict, internal

character motivation...and at the same time, that should

impact the relationships of the characters. External conflict/

outside forces should only serve to propel the character driven

storylines.

A prime example: Steve's return so far has been all about trying

to get his memory back...we have yet to see how Steve really

*feels* about that, how it is effecting him...we have seen little to

no anger, from anyone....just acceptance. The focus is the plot

rather than the emotion for Steve. Kayla's POV has been delivered

beautifully but not Steve's...

And, I want to see romance and adventure back on Days...I want

to run home, excited to see what happens on the show, like I did

when I was a kid in the 80s

I agree, not to knock Days or anything, but outside of Passions, it probably has the WORST cast in Daytime. Almost every actor on the show seems to phone in or can bearly say their lines with feeling.

I think what made Hogan's tenure on ATWT generally praised was ATWT's extremely strong cast, the acting on Days certainly isn't on par with that technically.

Bo and Hope breaking up because they can't deal with the pain of losing Zach not because Chelsea and Billie manipulate them. Bo and Hope on their own start helping Steve and Kayla figure out the last 16 years of his life and who is behind it all. Beside trying to help Steve remember, Kayla does her best to get Bo and Hope to realize their true feelings. Mike, Robin, and Jeremy return. We actually have some stories centered around the hospital with Kayla, Mike, Robin, and Lexie. Marlena and John also get involved in helping Steve and Kayla. Sami begins to grow up and we see some emotional scenes with her, John, and Marlena. Sami accidently learns some secret about Steve's past which puts her life in danger. She is kidnapped and everyone bands together to save her. Through this she forgives John as he ends up saving her life. Jeremy and Stephanie could become a couple. Max and Abby begin a starcrossed love sabatoged by Chelsea. That's all i can think of right now. Oh yeah, Doug and Julie and Maggie become more visible in all the stories.

Well, maybe Reilly's writing is the problem. Most of Day's cast can act, but I'm sure they were tired of totally being out of character all of the time.

I agree with most of your post so won't type it over. I do wish we would get more stories that have a true adventure or direction besides romance. Watching two people meet and fall in love is heartwarming, interesting and fulfilling, but triangles and quads are frustrating and irritating. Maybe a well written one would be acceptable but not as a total storyline.

Exicitement, adventure, progress, goals, fun, and growth are what I'd like to see.

-Emotional, character driven stories.

-adventure and romance

-keep a limit on triangles and quads

-family moments that Days is famous for

-good, meaty scenes for the actors because most of them can act

-not always bowing to the fanbases and always willing to take risks if necessary

-no more Lockharts

-repair damage done to characters and some of the history

-maybe a return to gothic, dark feeling Days had in the mid-90's (may not happen with JER gone but may be interesting)

I don't know what else but this is all I can think of off the top of my head.

The reuniting of John and Kate. It would make Drake Hogestyn happy, it would make Lauren Koslow happy, and it would make this fan happy. There's so much potential to explore with these two characters and their relationship.

I think Hogan will have big things in store for the characters of Hope, Kate, Marlena, Sami and Belle. They'll be the frontburner ladies, I think.

And finally, I want for Marlena's mother to be introduced on the show! And I want her to be an overbearing !@#$%^&*].

* I want to see the supercouples involved with each other. It would make the actors happy, and it would make the fans happy. Six actors who have a history together, and who have a family bond. Bo and Hope, Steve and Kayla go off to find out about Steve's past while John & Marlena bring out their spy gear from 2002 and go off to find out the truth about why Alex made their life hell for almost a year. It's all kind of tied together.

* Phillip dies. Kate leaves town because of it, taking Chelsea and Billie with her. Patrick, Mimi, Bonnie and InvisibleConnor all leave town after the truth about Claire comes out, to start over. Shawn leaves town. Jack and Jennifer leave town when Jack gets a job somewhere else, Abby stays moves in with Alice (or Kayla like rumored). Roman leaves town on a mission after Shawn Sr's death.

* Abby and Max get involved.

* Lucas and Samantha try to resist temptation, but the reunion is inevitable.

* Austin and Carrie reunite, then leave town (let's face it, I love them, but they ruined this return and most fans could care less).

* Anna DiMera returns, Eugene following behind to visit his pal Marlena. Of course, Eugene has some feelings about Marlena going off on a mission and he gets involved in that storyline. Anna being back throws her into a storyline with Sami, EJ and Lucas. EJ and Anna have secret meetings before it's revealed that they are a mother/son team (Sami thinks they're lovers). EJ is Anna's son with Tony DiMera. This brings Stefano out of hiding. A grandson.

* Victor comforts Caroline over losing Shawn.
