I despise Erica right now. Imo, she should tell both Josh & Kendall (& Bianca if the show can bring her back for a week or 2) the whole truth immediately. At least she finally realized the pain Kendall is in thinking Greg fathered Spike, but why let Josh go on suffering?

Krystal drove me nuts today, too. I can't believe Adam would keep her around after she beaned his son like that.

Colby was funny when she was trying to get Adam to buy her a car.

It seems obvious that David is setting up JR.

Erica, come on! Seriously. She should tell Kendall about Josh no matter what. I'm glad she came to her house at the end of the episode and didn't have this drag on for weeks. I have a feeling Kendall is going to be pissed at Ryan/Zach for knowing it. Now Josh needs to find out.

I hope she doesn't get too upset. It's not their secret to tell, but her mother's.

Sounds like I'm the only one who heard Erica's words today. And I didn't even hear her say them. :(

I though Lucci and the dialouge were spectacular in that scene. It was beautiful, kudos to SD who I think wrote that, nice:

Do you think it's easy for a woman to stand up and say that she's been violated? None of you will ever have to say that or think that. None of you were ever violated by Greg Madden. He didn't invade your bodies and take your child, and none of you will ever have to feel disgusted and never, never feel humiliated because you have to admit in public what he did to you. And none of you will ever have to blame yourself. None of you will ever be his victims or -- or worry about living through it all over again. None of you will ever have to go to sleep at night wondering why this keeps happening to your family over and over and over again and if it's your fault. No, no, no! I won't do it!

That last part was especially poignant. It made me feel bad for Erica and essentially give her a free pass, I think if Kendall was Bianca right now, she'd be at least 75% as likely to do the same thing to her - so I'm not really going to question her love for Kendall or such. And I don't expect her to instantly be in love with Josh, either. It was bad writing that Erica did not reveal this truth and go to the authorities the day she remembered, especially after everything this family has gone through, especially since they're writing an unabortion in these times.

Erica's speech just doesn't negate the fact that I think Zach and Ryan are a**es for not telling just-Kendall the truth to ease her suffering no matter what Erica said. The scene where Zach came in and instantly comforted Ryan in their secret-club-of-honor (I think I even saw a mini-smile), yet was more than willing to let his wife continue to suffer (when push comes to shove) just made me think he/they were kind of vile. It's not a small thing to be keeping secret. Erica has her choice, and her choice is not to trust anybody but Ryan, lol, I think that's a sour point in this also. IMO so does Zach, he has his choice - his choice should have been to warn Erica he was going to tell Kendall the truth if she didn't and to go tell Kendall the truth if she didn't. Not to go and preach about what Erica is or isn't and about how noble he's being, ugh.

I did feel for Erica during her speech, but when she didn't even seem to want to ease her own daughters pain about this, even after that speech knowing her daughter was going through the same thing just made me mad more than anything.

I just can't see her as selfish in this. My god, I didn't even watch today, and I can tell how badly she's hurting in just those words. She's a mess emotionally. I'm not going to say she's not thinking clearly, because she is one of the few people in PV who seem to really get what Greg did to her. I guess that's why I feel for her so much, because I get it too. I get why, as much as she loves Kendall, she can't face up to what Greg did to her. If this were Kendall, would you ask her to do what you're asking Erica, in Spike's name? Would you question her love for Spike, if she didn't? Or would you be able to see yourself through her eyes, and understand that everythng that's happening is complete and total crap. That you're damned if you, and damned if you don't. There's no right answer here, and she's doing the best that she can.

I applaud her for doing what she's doing. And I think she's making the best of what would be any woman's nightmare. :)

I do feel for what Greg put Erica through, but her speech rang really hollow when she wouldn't even ease her own daughter's pain, knowing her daughter thinks she was violated.

Sorry but I believe if it had been Bianca, she wouldn't have hesitated for an instant to ease Bianca's pain.

Truly, I'm angrier at Zach (and Ryan) for keeping the secret from Kendall - more than I am Erica. I expect Erica to do this type of thing to Kendall because it's who she is and I don't mean that in a bad way, Erica may seem awfully shallow but there's stuff there - I like that she's complicated and not the best mother despite her best efforts. I absolutely loved that she couldn't love Kendall for so many years, it was interesting and complex rather than the normal soap instant-love for the long-lost children. That's who she's always been and will always be a pillar of strong-willed imperfection. Erica loves Kendall - but Kendall will always be the disappointing one for her, the one who she will always under-estimate - I think it's subconcious in way because of the rape maybe (and the history) or maybe because she see's a lot of herself in Kendall (unfortunately the faults and insecurities). And like I said, I think there is a 75% chance they would have written Erica to do the same thing to Bianca, in a similar case, I understand if some disagree with that. Ryan is really the chosen one for Erica, IMO, lol. Again the fact that she told Ryan, and not Kendall, was a poor move.

While at a lot of times I thought Erica was just being selfish by not telling at least Kendall the truth (IMO, it's still not in Josh's best interest to know the truth but the story is so f**kin bizarre, to put it mildly, it's difficult to say what's best interest here), today I kind of maybe understood she's feeling a lot of guilt - such as feeling she caused everything that happened here in one way or another and she just dug herself and her family in deeper. I felt her feelings of shame because of it all. I really wonder how they're going to play K/E's scenes tomorrow - I'd like Erica to play them guilty, not that I hold her responsible - but I like Lucci playing the scenes with "I love my children" layers. Hopefully it's not a glossed by thing for plot.

What I do not understand is WHY does Jack put up with the woman? Seriously let her go and screw Jeff Martin both literally and physically so he can move on to bigger and better in his life

Total AMC viewing time for me so far this week is 30 minutes yesterday and 25 today.....when will this show get better?

I had the same reaction to Erica's speech today. Instead of feeling any sympathy for her, I was rolling my eyes at how hollow it was because Kendall was thinking that she was violated by Madden and Erica could have eased her pain by telling her the truth. Erica's rant about how her family is constantly victimized came off as silly to me because Kendall might not have been Madden's victim and Erica knew that!

I totally agree that if it had been Bianca, Erica would not have hesitated to ease her pain.

Today was a little slower....but Erica, as SELFISH as she may seem, I gotta agree with Rugrat concerning today.

Susan rocked that scene and the dialogue was amazing. Kudos.

I was a little upset with Ryan's reaction - I wanted to see him be upset and feel torn...and then feel hope at the end when he found out it may not really be Greg's. That part was a little ruined for me :(

Colby is getting better IMO.
