I was bored last night, so I got out my Possession DVD's and made a few (okay... an assload) caps of the entire storyline. The picture quality isn't the greatest -- they'd be better if I resized them, but that'd take too damn long. So, to hell with that!

Anyway, just thought I'd share...

Early possession... Marlena paints on Kristen's naked body in church...

Stefano sneaks into Marlena's bedroom. The demon tries to choke him.

John finds Marlena readying to desecrate a statue... Celeste fears Marlena...

A possessed Marlena shows up nude at the Penthouse Grille and is admitted to the hospital. She holds an officer at gunpoint. Later, John tells Marlena of her sins... Marlena is horrified.

Marlena goes into the church for safety. She sees Curtis Reed outside the church hurting Sami, so she goes to help her. Marlena is knocked down and when she wakes up, her eyes are yellow again.

Kristen is convinced that Marlena is possessed...

I loved the possession storyline. It's what brought me back to DAYS after a a short absence. A woman I knew told me all about Marlena being possessed and I told myself I had to start watching again. I'm glad I did, because DAYS was the show not to miss during all that! Also scary music with the flute and the banging piano were awesome.

Gawd, that desecrator scene (John telling Marlena she's the desecrator) is some of the best acting I've ever seen. From anyone. Ever. Deidre frickin' pwned this whole storyline. How the Emmy neglected her then is just beyond idioctic.

You know it! That's one of Deidre's best scenes in her entire Days history, IMO.

I remember those Curtis scenes so vividly. I never so the dude alive and he was the creepiest the thug the devil could have whipped up! Gawd, I loved this storyline.

This storyline was amazing.

DAYS really needs to put the Possession Story out on DVD.

That slap scene was one of the best scenes of the posession storyline, and one of my favorite DAYS cliffhangers EVER. It was on a Wednesday, around May 15th, 1995. Brilliant. When Kristen slapped off Marlena's contacts it was great. And the episode before had the great cliffhanger as well when Kristen showed up at Marlena's door. Re-watching these tapes is awesome.

I have them on tape, am considering transfering them. But I remember where I got the tapes from... let me dig up the site. I tried hard to find that one Wednesday episode with the Kristen and MarDevil fight and was so happy when I did...

The Kristen/Marlena confrontations are awesome! I especially love the episode where they have an encounter in the Kiriakis garden at Carrie and Austin's engagement party. Kristen is going on and on about the scrolls and how she knows Marlena's a demon and she's going to make sure John knows... she's also furious about the snake she found in the mansion earlier in the evening and she's convinced that Marlena put it there.

Anyway, Marlena says something like, "If I had your particular delusion... I think I'd be afraid. I'd be VERY afraid." Kristen looks like she's just [!@#$%^&*] down her leg, and Marlena continues, "Don't take me on, Kristen. You won't like it... and you won't win." AWESOME!

Also scary music with the flute and the banging piano were awesome.

Everytime I watch this, I can't believe how much better Days background music used to be. It's incredible... it was SO. GOOD! And the lighting. The sets were lit so much more dramatically back then. Nowadays, everything is so bright and out in the open. I much preferred it when the show was more dim and rich looking... semi-gothic. Like in this picture:
