Thanks for the info!

Meanwhile: Nexstar-related news:

Nexstar and Tegna tried to merge. Granted federal approval in March 2026. However, in April 2026, DirecTV filed a lawsuit to stop the merger.
https://variety.com/2026/tv/news/nexstar-tegna-preliminary-injunction-judge-block-directv-1236724913/
A judge put an injunction on the Nexstar/Tegna merger, ordering all of the integration between the companies to be completely stopped/paused until next year or whenever it goes to trial or something. Nexstar evaded/ignored the ruling by appointing Tegna people to the Nexstar board.
Therefore on July 23, 2026, DirecTV joined with some states' Attorneys General
to file a new or updated antitrust something to force Nexstar to undo what it just did -- or to comply with the original injunction.
https://deadline.com/2026/07/nexstar-tegna-merger-board-antitrust-lawsuit-1237000771/

(different from, but same timeframe as
states' AGs filing to block
the ParamountSkydance/WarnerDiscovery merger
which has updates on page four of separate thread .)

This Nexstar/Tegna violation came out in the news today July 23, 2026;
so it's interesting that meanwhile CBS is doing something with Nextstar vs. Hearst stations in the original post of THIS thread above.

This all reads like a bad Y&R corporate takeover storyline.
